This DLC is hot garbage. I cleared thru it in about 1.5 hours. The concept is rehashed, the maps are ones you've already played, just with some snow and technological effects everywhere. In standard style practically nothing is explained and it's over before you realize it. I rather enjoyed The Taken King, but this DLC is every reason vanilla Destiny was boring.

I bought Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2 and Battlefield One at the same time. A few days later, Titanfall 2 was the only one I felt like playing. Multiplayer feels fresh, the titans are fun, and there's a lot of odd weapons/combinations like the SMR (full-auto micro missile launcher.) For all the fun I'd give the game a 7.5, it suffers from a lot of the other issues that modern FPS do. - Players make very little sound, so do titans. It's absolutely ludicrous that you'll randomly get punched in the back and instantly killed by a Scorch without it making a sound. - Weapon balance overall is pretty poor. For all the fun and different weapons, there's pretty clearly 3 or 4 go-to primary weapons, and only 2 of the secondary weapons are worth using at all. Sniper rifles and pistols are effectively useless because of player speed, and speed of death. Why use a sniper rifle when an assault rifle kills just as fast or faster, and the G2 has crazy range? Why use a pistol at all when you need an anti-Titan weapon and you never run out of primary ammo? Only 1 or 2 of the maps are big enough for a sniper rifle anyway. Often pilot vs pilot feels more like an RNG (Flatline vs Flatline) or rock-paper-scissors (being caught out with a rifle vs an SMG or vice-versa). - The AI is pretty bad, you'll have these scenarios like in Bounty Hunt where the AI is insanely omnipotent and will chase you across the map and dash and punch you. I've had an Ion Titan being shot by 2 friendly titans and 2 friendly pilots single me out and kill me from 500+ feet away with a shoulder laser. The Kill Cam didn't even show it fully turn around. - Finally interp lag and data loss is massive problem, especially given how fast players move, and how quickly you die. 2/3s of my deaths seem to be me being shot through walls, or where the Kill Cam doesn't really match what I saw. I've had dozens of scenarios where the player OR TITAN is facing the opposite direction/dashing/reloading when I die, and the Kill Cam show something completely different. Although often the Kill Cam shows them shooting through the walls or doing something impossible, too. This is one of the main reasons I quit playing CoD. I've had SO SO many duels and fights where my last shot that would have been a killing blow and it make the sound and visual of impact just for it to do zero damage. I've had fights where 8+ shots make the impact sound/visual, but do zero damage just to die afterwards. This is especially frustrating with weapons like the G2, SMR, Mastiff and Wingman. Weapons with travel time are practically unuseable. In summation, the game is fun, but I really wish they'd fix some of these fundamental FPS issues. I was having a great time, but it was slowly drained away and just became frustrating. The better I got and the more I played the more noticeable these issues became.

Fun to play, but wears out quickly. There's only a handful of modes and maps, and flat-out no deathmatch. The game lacks any sense of real depth, I'm honestly not sure why this game is 40+ dollars, it could have easily been F2P. Most of the people giving this game a 10 probably won't be playing it a week from now. I also fail how this game will become part of the "competitive scene" when the netcode is so sloppy. On death, you can watch the kill cam and they very rarely portray what actually happened. Blizzard has tried to combat this by having extra-large colliders, but it makes anything above the waist practically a headshot.

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest

Both Fire Emblem Fates games feel like incomplete parts of the puzzle. With limited grinding/support options in Conquest, it's more about figuring out what the developer wanted you to do to beat the level. Birthright allows for infinite grinding, but the characters are abysmal. If I could buy Relevations by itself, I would have ignored the other two titles. All in all, Awakening was a much better entry in the Fire Emblem series. The story and characters are worse here, many fall flat and are even more cliche or trope-like than Awakening. Supports seem much less developed and very few characters seem to have any chemistry. The lack of romance makes S-ranked supports suddenly awkward. The combat has more depth here, but only marginally so. The additional of traps and other field effects doesn't make the game much more tactical. TLDR: Because of the 3 different versions of the game, localization issues, 500 characters with nothing to say and crappy storyline the game feels too fractured. There is no real focus.

I really wanted to like this game. The animated graphics are beautiful, and I'm really big into visual novels, horror AND strategy RPGs. The problem is, the game isn't particularly interesting, and doesn't do any of the above points well. You'll spend most of your time grinding mini-games so that you can get the ending that you want, and even then the relationship system is notoriously wonky. The characters have no depth beyond the first few chapters, the dialogue devolves into that generic JRPG style. A rockstar being like "I like to rock!" and then your crew is like "man he likes to rock!" Way more Ghostbusters than horror, it's not particularly scary, although the game sets it up with a serious tone in the first chapter. Why? The story doesn't go anywhere after characters are introduced, it's mostly just a "Creature of the week" TV show in game form. I felt like combat was actually the most fun part of the game, but the amount of grinding you have to do to have one fight per chapter becomes too tedious. There's a crafting system, store and other things going on, but just literally can't... buy stuff. I've been using the same weapon for 4 chapters because there's literally nothing I can do to upgrade it. The game goes from 2-shotting ghosts, to being 2-shot BY ghosts. I wouldn't particularly mind the difficulty curve, but ultimately combat relies on you cheesing the fights. Either you'll be frustrated and not know what to do, or they'll be so easy that combat won't be fun. It's not very tactical.

I was really excited to finally buy this game, getting a PSVita recently. I've beat Tactics Ogre a few times in the past on PSOne. The new systems and graphical changes were refreshing at first, but it all seems like a half measure. The portraits are great, but the sprites are lazily low-rez. All of the new features are things that modern SRPGs not only have, but have advanced upon further making Tactics Ogre still feel 2 steps behind. What killed the game for me is the pace. The game is easily 40-50 hours, but to be honest 20-30 of those hours could be removed if battles weren't so slow. You have low damage, low chance to hit, and the board is flooded with enemies. It can easily take 4-5 hits (assuming you hit with 40-60% chance to hit) to kill one enemy. The trajectory system also drives me nuts. 9/10 maps the enemy is given the high ground, making it very easy for their archers and casters to hit you. Having the low ground you're going to constantly hit your own units. What's the point of having a knight protect a wizard if the wizard is just going to keep hitting the knight in the back? There's also no real alternatives to grind your characters to speed it up. Ultimately I started questioning why I was playing the game when I could play something like Disgaea 4 or Fire Emblem: Awakening instead. Despite the upgrades, the game still feels just slow, old, and a waste of time.

They effectively took all of the bad elements of Halo 4 and made them worse. Less customization, barely any multiplayer modes, no BTB at launch, no split-screen COOP, stylized poor graphics, and the addition of micro transactions. Halo 4 had its problems, but this is the first in the Halo franchise I regret buying. 343 is the worst thing to happen to Halo.

While a much more solid game than Destiny's original release, it's still a heavily flawed game. Story is very much lacking and they expect you to read content outside of the game. The expansion has more re-used assets than I've seen in any MMO, aside from one new area, you're taken to old planets once again to fight the same enemies you already have. Nightfalls and Raids still force you to find parties outside of the game, as Bungie can't be bothered to make a rudimentary LFG system. Raids also feel really awkward in Destiny, as up until that point it's a loot-driven game like Borderlands or Diablo. Suddenly you're stepping on panels, never moving, never using your cool weapons you found, simply not having fun. I'm not new to raiding, I've done it for years, it just doesn't seem to fit in a game like Destiny. The game has very little replayability. You're mostly playing old content, farming the same bosses, and doing the same old things. It gets stale pretty quickly. PvP is just as bad as it's ever been. You might as well not even try unless you've already got nice Legendaries or Exotics. It's still a laggy mess where people camp with shotguns or wait for their supers to be up to get free kills and then hide again. Overall it's an okay game if you're looking to kill time for a week or two, but I wouldn't recommend it for anything longterm.

I was initially excited about Heavensward, the story is much better than ARR, new areas to explore, etc. The main problem arises from the limited amount of content. When you hit endgame, there's 2 dungeons, 2 primals, and 1 4-boss raid. That's it. TWO DUNGEONS. The first primal is a one-kill and then you'll never go again. The 2nd primal takes a bit of work, but for most people will still be a one-kill. The crafting system was destroyed in the expansion, as they made it infinitely more grindy while making it less rewarding, and there's simply very little in the game to do other than farm old content. Classes were also greatly homogenized. I feel like whatever uniqueness FFXIV had in the MMO market has been destroyed in the expansion.

Maybe it's because I didn't get into Binding of Isaac til about 6 months ago, but too much of the game is just a re-hash. It doesn't feel like it adds much to the original game. You'd probably get more enjoyment out of this game if you never played the original.

Amazing environments, visuals and sound. The gameplay gets pretty dull and has the same issues that previous Bioshock games had. They don't throw many unique scenarios at you and would rather just throw more and more enemies at you. One of the most overrated stories I've seen in a video game.

2 months later and multiplayer is still mostly unplayable. I play with a friend, and most of the time we can't even join parties together. Assuming the game actually lets us, it's 5-10 minutes of waiting for a BTB match where we can't choose the Halo we want to play. 50% of the time we get disconnected before the game starts and have to requeue. Assuming we get to play, there's a good chance we'll have to restart Halo from the dashboard or it will break things. I really hope Halo 5 has 343's A team, because MCC clearly has their B team. I gave up trying to play after awhile because over about 3 hours we'd get to play for maybe 30-45 minutes.

Fun when it actually works properly. However it has too many problems. 1) There is CONSTANT interp lag, worse than any other FPS I've ever played. What you're seeing is never the same as your enemy. You'll shoot someone 3 times with a shotgun, and then watch the Kill Cam of your death and it not even show you shooting. People will be reloading and facing the other direction and shoot through themselves to kill you. 2) The game has very little variety. There's not much reason to choose a weapon aside from an assault rifle. Most of the maps are basically the same. A big circle with a few buildings in the middle. Almost every person uses the the same the same perks, scorestreaks and weapon attachements. 3) Using a combination of perks and weapon attachments allows you to NEVER show up on the mini-map regardless of what you're doing. Guess what combination everyone uses? Prepare to die a lot never seeing your opponent on the mini-map, never hearing them shoot because of interp lag, and never hearing their footsteps because the sound is so low/non-existent. 4) Unlocking weapon attachments is more frustrating than fun. Want a scope so that you can kill enemies from a distance? Yeah well... you need to kill enemies from a distance first.
