Quite literally the worst game I've ever played and may be one of the worst of all time. There is absolutely nothing charming about the game. It's hideous, and the characters have the visual appeal of road kill. The control to actually move your player character make E.T. The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600 seem smooth in comparison. Ride to Hell: Retribution is a better social deduction game and it's not even one. it's in a completely different genre. Online play is stupidly laggy, even with a cable internet connection it feels like you're playing on a server that's basically two cans connected by a string. The tasks are mindless crap and garbage. As far as the community goes, might be the single most toxic fandom in the history of fandoms. Poisonous to the nth degree, society was made worse by the existence of this game. I guess COVID really did rot everyone's brains because people think this is a good game. Stay away, for the love of God.

This game probably should get a higher rating if the battle system was a lot better and a lot less of a slog. The story (at least up to chapter 15) is witty and lighthearted in a series that's gotten very grimdark over the years. The characters do look a little ugly, but the scenery is quite nice. The stacking system is fairly unique and the capturing system is solid enough. It's just that the battles are such a slog. Magic attacks are the only useful attacks, but you don't get enough AP and you'll eventually run out of ethers. Then, it becomes your characters missing physical attacks at an incredibly high clip. I've even checked to make sure my characters weren't blinded somehow, and in most cases they were not. Accuracy nodes would be the most important things to unlock on mirage boards if they worked. It just feels like artificial difficulty and it doesn't matter what level your characters are at compared to the monsters. It just got too much, I was hoping battling would get better but it never did.
