Cities XL 20116
Mar 13, 2011
If you've played games like Simcity 3k and Simcity 4, give this game a miss. It, in no way, is like those games. Sure, it has curved roads and good graphics but the sountrack is very monotonous, the gameplay tremendously boring and the overall concept is just like 'what?'. I mean, the trading thing is a whole load of rubbish and the game gives you achievements at least 10 minutes after you've actually achieved a specific target. And i cant stand the 'bankruptcy' symbol that plagues almost every single commercial building. The game has many bad issues but i do admit, players get to choose specific locations like alps, desert islands, green valleys where to build cities. About 6/10 i'd say.

Spore8
Mar 12, 2011
Spore is a brilliant game the first time you play it. Afterwards, its just boring and far, far, far, far, far, far too easy. The game's graphics are extremely childish and unrealistic but that said the concept of the game and its gameplay is really good. Creating a creature is tons of fun and then being able to play as it, be it herbivore, carnivore or omnivore but some of the controls are rather...dogy. The game has a lot of possibilites but had a lot of potential it hasn't met. Its surprising the game is 4 years old already! Its seems like only last year when i bought it for the first time. Its a good game, not brilliant but its creativity and concept do give it some credit. Its a game more for children - EA really has centred on child safety and friendly games, especially on Spore.

Titan Quest7
Mar 12, 2011
Titan Quest is a good game. Well....sort of. But i certainly wouldnt give it a 10/10 nor 6/10 - 7/10 seems reasonable. Why? Okay the graphics: They're good, not recent but still good and the world is very beautiful and all. Gameplay: Okay, first time you play TQ, its really fun and you really get into the RPG mood but the second time you play it, knowing the quests and stuff, it just isen't all that great. The combat can be rather boring and some items are ridicously overpriced. 80%, if not 90% of the game is all about battling seemingly endless hordes of strange monsters, continous and monotonous left mouse clicks with little strategy depth. That said, it can be fun upgrading your character with new weopons, gear and armour and new spells. But overall, it isen't 'classic' or 'legendary' or even 'amazing' - its good.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood5
Mar 11, 2011
I really don't know whats all the fuss about this game. Ive seen my friend play it and its so boring! And looks jaw droppingly easy. I mean your assassin will jump down from a building and kill a guard whilst all the other guards will just stand around and watch you! How pathetic and unrealistic. And for such a recent game, i would have thought the graphics would be better. The game is very boring, looks extremely easy and i mean, heck, what guy runs around an Italian city wearing a plain white tunic and cape holding a sword and not look suspicious? I mean what assassin runs around like that? Really unrealistic.

Minecraft9

Extremely fun with endless possibilites. Nice soundtrack and great fun! Minecraft is different to other games and is full of things to do. The game centers on crafting, collecting, exploing, building and all sorts of things.Build houses, construct huge endless tunnels, explore an amazing endless world made up of blocks of sand, dirt, diamond, coal, iron, gold, water - the list goes on. Hirely reccomend it. Its brilliant.

Rome: Total War10
Mar 11, 2011
The words 'epic' and 'legendary' only start to describe Rome Total War. The game is trully the greatest i have played and the shining best in the revolutionary Total War series. Rome Total War comes with online battles, custom battles, campaigns and historical battles. Rome total war covers such a grand scale of history. There are tons of factions to play as such as the Romans (that consist of the Julii, Scipii and the Brutii and the Senate) Gauls, Britons, Parthians, Macedonians, Egyptians, Scythians, Thracians, Dacians, Germans and so forth . RTW has never failed to bore me and i have been playing it for at least 4 or 5 years now. The game is excellent for strategists, those who love ancient history and who adore turn based campaigns. The soundtrack for RTW is also brilliant. 10/10 without any doubt.

SimCity 48
Mar 11, 2011
Simcity 4 is a classic. The game's pretty hard but it really has the pure city simulation feel to it that the more recent city building games lack. The basis of Simcity 4 is rather complex and the source of a succesful city in the game is successful zoning of the three available zoning types; residential/industrial and commercial. Your city will boom with population and the economy as you progress with carefully planned zoning. Simcity 4 also requires water supply, electricity and many other things to secure a fully stable city. The game is certainly not for begineers. The first time i played it i was like 'What the?!' and i went to playing average games like Simcity Societies and Cities XL 2011 though Citylife was a good one. Simcity 4 is the best game for those who really want a challenge and who want to built a realistic city using zoning, taxing and much, much more. There are few negative aspects to the game, other than its complexity and sometimes hard economy system but other than those minor issues, its a brilliant game and i recommend it to the more skilled and experienced simulation players.
