Gotham: Season 19
Sep 25, 2014
The writers and crews who work on the pilot for Gotham must be a genius. The production is next to flawless and it clearly shows how huge the show can be (only if it keeps on taking the right direction) and the tremendous potential the characters and stories in the Batman/DC universe carry. Definitely a game-changer for Fox. Who needs originality when you have authenticity blended with vision!

The Good Wife: Season 510
Jul 8, 2014
I honestly thought that after 4 seasons, the show would slow down a bit before heating things up again. Only a few episodes into the season, it proves the complete opposite. Right after the absolute chaos caused by Will and Diane finding out the fourth-year associates plan to exit Lockhart-Gardner and all, everything really gets 100 times more interesting again. It's like a whole new show to get excited again. I somehow really love it that Josh Charles's character, Will, exited the show this year because I was really getting sick of him being the jerk he has been (by that I mean that he has not really tried to own his past mistakes and dealt with it. Instead he keeps on blaming everyone else for his own mistakes). Finn Polmar is a very fresh addition and I feel like Matthew Goode is going to make future seasons way more interesting for the show. Can't wait for season 6! and 7! and 8! and 9! I'll never get bored of it!

The Good Wife: Season 410
Jul 8, 2014
I was always worried that The Good Wife would fall into the same trap like other TV show with too much going on at the same time: lack of focus. But it all disappears with this season just showing how much this show can still develop, especially with all the characters. Carrie Preston is such an amazing actress and her portrayal of Elsbeth Tascioni really freshen up the entire picture. It's such a shame that she only appears in 2 to 3 episodes each season, but it's probably a good thing so we don't get bored too fast with her attractive quirkiness.

The Good Wife: Season 310
Jul 8, 2014
I have to agree that this show is nothing like anything else on TV, both network and cable. Though it's very frustrating at times with all the ongoing conflicts and dilemmas, The Good Wife promises one thing: everything is fine, for some moment, at the end of each season.

The Good Wife: Season 210
Jul 8, 2014
The appearances of Michael J. Fox, along with the cunning Patty Nyholm (Martha Plimpton) really help the show to upgrade itself. Julianna Margulies and Christine Baranski are definitely among my favorite female TV characters. However, I gotta admit that Archie Panjabi is the real scene-stealer throughout the show.

The Good Wife: Season 110
Jul 8, 2014
Julianna Margulies is a terrific performer and this show helps her throw the best performance of her career. The story is very well-written and well-acted with such continuity. All the intrigues and politics with all the legal battles are undeniably good.

Silicon Valley: Season 110
Jul 8, 2014
The pilot didn't really hit it off for me, but enough to keep me going on for the rest of the season and I gotta admit, it's probably the freshest comedy on TV, both network and cable, right now. The characters deliver really well and the IT jokes, though sometimes a bit stereotype-ish, are very laughable. The one thing I really have to praise Mike Judge and the rest of the crew is how the story really builds up smoothly from the pilot to the season finale. It just works really fine starting from being the guy with a seemingly standard idea for a start-up to the guy who kills the competition in the tough IT business. Really looking forward to future seasons!!

Trophy Wife: Season 110
Jun 3, 2014
Easily the funniest new comedy on TV this season, which explains how bummed I was when ABC opted not to renew it. Malin Akerman is such an adorable actress and the whole cast just works really well. I think the show works so well for me because it kind of resonates with Modern Family and the senior show has not been as funny as it used to be in earlier seasons. I hope ABC or other networks or if necessary Netflix/Hulu come to their senses and revive this stunning work!

Dracula: Season 13
Nov 19, 2013
I'm not saying that anything with vampire in it has to be scary, but this is just... ridiculous? Rhys-Meyers is hot, yes, but what is Dracula without the mystery and all the bites? The pilot is very weak, there's no clarity for the story, and somehow far from being exciting. Disappointing.

American Horror Story: Season 310
Nov 19, 2013
This season is very appealing thanks to the cast and the strong story. Gabourey Sidibe has always been on my watch-list and Jamie Brewer's acting is improving compared to what she showcased on season 1. Taissa Farmiga, Emma Roberts, Jessica Lange, and Denis O'Hare are all doing their jobs well. Frances Conroy and Lily Rabe are indeed two very underrated actresses. And need I say more of Angela Bassett? She's playing Marie Laveau with a very strong set of skills. The only letdown would be Evan Peters, who is not convincing enough for a resurrected zombie-like. Other than that, the story of this season is very potential and I can say that it's been going on the right lane so far. Oh, and the references to popular culture are, as always, intriguing! This is nothing like a lame-teen-superpower-movie whatsoever.

American Horror Story: Season 28
Nov 19, 2013
While the cinematography is better than the inaugural season, Asylum is less consistent and gets a little bit too twisty at times. I love twists, but this season keeps too many things hidden for too long that it gets a little bit frustrating to wait for the next episode each week. What I love from the show is its efforts on mixing facts up with fictions that some conspiracy-junkies out there might actually think that the show is solely based on true events while it really is just making references to popular culture.

American Horror Story: Season 110
Nov 19, 2013
I was initially hesitant to even just take a first look at the pilot, but reviews were saying it's good so I gave it a try. And while it didn't start really well, I feel like the show gets better episode after episode. The finale is definitely one of the most satisfying conclusion to any show I've ever seen. The twist was not too predictable which makes it very enjoyable to discover. Didn't think Murphy or Falchuk has it in them!

Bates Motel: Season 19
Nov 17, 2013
The show works it way to climax slowly but in a good way. It doesn't rush things so viewers get to take all the suspense in. Freddie Highmore is surprisingly good playing against his typical role of being a sweetheart and Vera Farmiga manages to pull an act that makes me all sympathetic to her. Bates Motel is a very interesting and unique take on the story and should do well as long as the writers keep it consistent.

Mistresses (2013): Season 17
Nov 17, 2013
The show has potential, especially with four talented actresses on its leading roles. However, the writing has been too soap-operatic and not really consistent. I hope there will be a second season for the show to redeem itself.
Nov 17, 2013
The Blacklist: Season 18
Nov 17, 2013
The show has a great plot and, with James Spader as the leading actor, should not be worried of being anywhere near canceled as long as the story keeps being solid. The procedural one-case-at-a-time style is working well because there's a side plot that is potentially very related to the show's two lead characters. Great show!

Haven: Season 49
Nov 17, 2013
Definitely one of the most underrated series of all-time. The show's writing is very smart and deep in ways you don't normally expect. This season is no exception as the William story arc is really making things very interesting. However, it is true that this season is a little bit slower-paced compared to the previous three seasons.

The Walking Dead: Season 48
Nov 17, 2013
The first half of this season has been very good. The flu outbreak story-arc is smart considering everyone has been so focused on the threats that walkers impose on the survivors but apparently had forgotten how humans are very vulnerable to many other things. I love the development of Carl character this season, though I'd love it to see more of Glenn & Maggie relationship being explored. It has so much potentials.

Veep: Season 210
Nov 17, 2013
The second season didn't disappoint at all! It's still hilarious, smart, and at times unbelievably ridiculous (in good ways). Veep will be on the air for a long time if the comedy keeps being at high level like this.

Veep: Season 110
Nov 17, 2013
Veep is funny as hell! It's been a long time that I laugh this often from watching one comedy. Louis-Dreyfuss' take on Selina Meyer is probably one of the funniest female character I've ever seen on TV. Tony Hale is also doing good with other cast members also showing strong acting skills.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland: Season 13
Nov 17, 2013
I was intrigued to check out the pilot because Once Upon a Time has been consistently good for its first two seasons and season 3 is, in fact, even becoming more solid. However, this spin-off doesn't impress me at all. I guess I'm no longer thrilled by the unconventional takes on classic tales. And the VFX is seriously horrible. I know it's a network TV show, but at least have the decency to work better on the visual effect because it's really irritating. Red light for me.

Under the Dome: Season 13
Nov 17, 2013
The show was very promising at the first two or three episodes, but went downhill on later episodes to the finale. It's just so ridiculous. The only good actor in the show is Mike Vogel. The rest of the cast are making the show looks like a comedy to me. A total mess.

2 Broke Girls: Season 38
Nov 17, 2013
The jokes are still all about sex, Han's height, and all the usual stuffs, but the show hasn't lost its charm. Despite what most people seem to think, the show is actually very smart with wordplay and popular reference. I'm starting to be fond of "Sophie" more and more. For me, it's Sophie that keeps the show fresh each episodes. Still a great fun to watch every Mondays.

Partners (2012): Season 110
Nov 17, 2013
I don't care what the critics or other people are saying, Partners (sadly) was the funniest new comedy on TV last year! Michael Urie might exaggerate things here and there, but the whole dynamic of the show is just working at its best. I can't even believe that people think the show is bad because the critics say so. Shame on CBS for cancelling the show!

Hostages: Season 17
Nov 17, 2013
The pilot was damn good, but subsequent episodes have been losing momentum. I even dubbed the series the most promising new show on TV to friends, but it doesn't seem like the show is well-crafted enough. I know it's hard to write an entire season with a time span of only about two to three weeks, but that's why it should be more than thrilling. Too much moral dilemma so far and too little action. The writers need to heat things up. Soon.

Scandal: Season 210
Nov 17, 2013
Well, hats off to Shonda Rhimes. Who would've thought of most of this season's scandalous cases? An attempt to assassinate the President of the United States is a big risk to take, but the show has done it quite perfectly. I think this is the first time in years a show is actually picking up in considerable improvement both critically and commercially in its subsequent season(s).

Scandal: Season 17
Nov 17, 2013
The first season is a little bit shaky. Understandable, since the plot is quite complicated. The show's got potential, big ones, and Shonda Rhimes is usually the person to trust when it comes to good drama. Apparently, she's not only good at medical shows, but also political ones.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D: Season 14
Nov 17, 2013
I didn't even believe it at first that this was actually going to be on the TV. It just seemed too big for a TV show to cover. The superheroes, the superpowers, the complex universe, and to keep them all in continuum. After seeing the pilot, I was a little bit uneasy because the series seemed to have a potential to be good but at the same time, the pilot just didn't really impress me as much as I had hoped it would. It was definitely a weak pilot. But I still gave more episodes a shot. And I guess now I have to come to a conclusion that the show is just not working. At least not for me. And if I had to say the one thing that ruins the show, it's the procedural style it's being made in. I have NCIS and The Blacklist for that.

Homeland: Season 38
Nov 17, 2013
I was hugely disappointed by how this season went on for the first four episodes. Obviously, it focused too much on the irritating Dana story arc and it felt like the writers were running out of ideas and were just trying to stall for a surprise. The "Tower of David" episode, in which most of the duration was spent on Brody was also a let-down. But it all changed when the twist came up. Though I do feel like it was unwise to keep something like that for four episodes. From the "The Yoga Play" (episode 5) onwards, the show has been gaining back its momentum. But I gotta admit that this season is far from being nearly as good as season 1 let alone season 2. However, considering how great the show was for the last two seasons, I guess we need to understand that the show needs to have a "calmer" moments at times. And might I add, Claire Danes is the one keeping this show thrilling!

Homeland: Season 210
Nov 17, 2013
Many people were definitely frustrated during the whole first season and so was I. Constantly. And this season offers the best storyline anyone could've hoped for knowing how high the expectations have been since the show first premiered. Season 2 deals with more complicated matters, especially Brody's political career. I know many smart-ass out there fell that the show is nothing like real intelligence, but last time I checked, I watch (fictional) TV shows for the sake of entertainment. If I wanted to learn something real, I'd go watch a documentary or read a book or go teach myself. And the season finale! Totally didn't see it coming!

Homeland: Season 110
Nov 17, 2013
Despite all the inaccuracies a lot of people have tried to point out, I still feel that the first season of Homeland was one of the best inaugural season on TV in years. Claire Danes' portrayal of the bipolar CIA agent is exceptional and all I can think of right now is "how the hell is she not a bigger star???" Because she should be. As long as the writers and producers keep the story tight and smart (don't mind the haters), Homeland will definitely be a classic!

Orange is the New Black: Season 110
Nov 16, 2013
I was not sure that the show was going to be good because the premise seemed too simple. But I checked it out anyway and, man!, I would've regretted it so bad had I never seen this show. The cast managed to make me feel all depressed, happy, and frustrated. A definite roller coaster road! And honestly, I never thought Jason Biggs could act like he does in Orange is the New Black. Kudos!
