Having only played Rune Factory 1, I was absolutely blown away at the improvement in Rune factory 4, and I will find it tough to go back to 2 and 3 when I'm done. This game plays much more fluidly than Harvest Moon and everything just seems... right. I haven't played Harvest Moon in months thanks to this game. If you enjoy farming but hate the monotony of Harvest Moon, this is the game for you. I hope there will be another installment to this franchise or I will be incredibly sad.

The tutorial is a month long in game time. Played the first 5 days and then put it down for 2 months as I was so bored. The game pace definitely picks up after the first month (make sure you hoard as much as you can, it really speeds things up later on). Money isn't a real issue in this game, you're mostly fulfilling requirements for Town Restorations with items you find. The game really rewards you for hoarding! I just don't like the Edit Mode, so clunky and time consuming. They really could have utilized the touch screen in this area. I find myself spending too much time just trying to put a building in a correct spot, or having to exit just to run back into town to get rid of a sapling. The graphics are lovely. however a little too simplistic for me. The grass could have benefited from some texturing. Music is okay. One track for each season with a few different tracks for events and some locations. Cut-scenes are incredibly annoying after the first few times. The farming aspect is incredibly improved from FoMT, although I find it somewhat of a chore after a while. The speed at which you use tools, pick up crops, harvest wheat etc... is a little too slow for me, and does not compare to that of Rune Factory 4. Also, he menu system isn't bad but still not as streamlined as I would have hoped. The game is very slow, however it is packed full of redeeming features and rewarding later on. It's fun trying to woo your future spouse and the farming is generally fun. It's a game that won't necessarily 'wow' you, but worth the money and enjoyable nonetheless. Looking forward to the next one!

Much like the rest of the Ace Attorney series (and my only criticism of the series in general), it's a difficult game to come back to if you stop playing for a while (I have absolutely no idea what's happening now). The story is the usual engaging tale and the characters are hilarious. Having only played a few of the previous games I really liked the individual abilities each character had, really broke up the long bouts of text, also the kind of new features of the investigation and courtroom. You must be prepared to read a lot or enjoy reading because that's a main component of the game. Nevertheless, great game.

I have mixed feelings about this. At the start you will find the art and music very cute despite the weird voice acting. Even the whole dating sim and the making of Star Children is a pretty lovely concept, albeit kind of shallow and creepy. However what lets the whole game down is the dungeon crawling aspect. The dungeons are boring and repetitive, most of the time you're just running from Door A to Door B in a very poorly textured environment... sometimes there's a chest. Enemies are recycled throughout the whole dungeon. Battles are your normal turn based affair, however it lacks the fluidity you're probably accustomed to which is a shame because the inclusion of some novel features look really promising. The attacks are pretty awesome too. I don't think I'll be finishing this game anytime soon. There are much better games out there that I could be playing. However, pick it up when the price goes down, there might be some redeeming features for you.
