For a game that claims to be a roguelike it has the depth of a one inch hole. This game feels like a mini-RTS game that was made for Smartphones. The campaign is not interesting, the items and traits are not interesting, the troops are not interesting, the most interesting things are enemies and even those are shallow. Why the hell they give a cliff jumping attack to the unit that usually is frontline tanker. By the end of the game you will be using a party of 2 archers and 2 shield warriors because Pikemen can't deal with the damage dealt by the Brute Bow users and they die fast. I don't recommend this game to anyone, the gameplay is boring, the replay value is nada and even though it has random elements, it lacks the things that make a roguelike interesting, there is no learning or complexity in it. It's like it's not even a proper game.

This game kinda plays like Prince of Persia, but doing running jumps is hard because the controls aren't that responsive. I got frustrated and stopped playing this game around Level 12 because you needed to do 3-4 Perfect Running Jumps at a late part of the level and any mistake would make you die, making you do a long level all over again. Since I was not at the end of the game and I knew levels would get harder, I stopped playing because it was too bothersome to have to redo the entire level because you misjumped one time. Also combat is kinda horrible and annoying, you kinda have to tank shots to get double hits on enemies at late game and you can't really outsmart the enemies if there are 2 of them on the same row. Overall I didn't like the combat at all.

The problem with this game is that Blizzard didn't prepare enough for it. Lots of lag problems, bugs that don't allow you to play, always online DRM, laggy servers, bugs making items characters disappear forever, achievements getting bugged. Also the gameplay is not exempt from it too. Because they made some really dumb decisions on this game. Like for example Legendary Items are horrible when compared to Magic Items from Inferno. Lots of dumb design choices too, though some were really improvements to the game, it feels ilke they cut shortcuts on lots of aspects on the game. No Runewords useless common socketed items, action house destroying the game balance and progression, useless hirelings, etc It's just not a Diablo Sequel, and coupled with the horrible problems caused by their design choices leave me with the decision to never purchase another game from Blizzard again

This game had everything to be the perfect blend of tower defense + rpg game, but they do balance patching every week that aims at hardcore players, because of that the game is full of item grinding, requires perfect strategy for every level on the highest difficulty and everytime you find a new strategy that beats most levels, they nerf it on the next week. I have 300+ hours played on this game and still didn't finish the hardest levels, the game has such a high difficulty that makes you grind the same levels 40-50 times to be able to beat the next one. Just to farm mana for upgrading your items or farming until you drop the good items from the levels you are able to do. Also **** Survival Mode, the only way to get the best items in the game, takes 5 hours each time and is extremely boring. They also release lots of paid dlc, what's worst about that is that all the best items / characters come from dlc, recently they made a dlc called Assault Map Pack, which is a Dungeon Assault only with Hero Character Maps. The thing is the old characters are almost useless on this map, for you to be able to do it successfully on the highest difficulties you would need to buy the Barbarian Hero DLC Pack, which is extremely tanky and has many abilities that are useful on those maps. So they sell power through DLC and keep rising the difficulty so only the most hardcore players are able to beat it. It's not worth your time, I can't even believe I wasted 300 hours on this.
