Dead Space 37

A real stepback for the series that strayed too far from the horror roots that made the original 2 so great. The Co-Op edition was a cool edition. There is some pretty cool set pieces throughout as it does focus more on action.

Dead Space (2008)9

Incredible game. Is very immersive using very minimal HUD elements. The game is intense and is actually scary at times. The story is decent even though Isaac does not speak.

Dead Space 210

Probably the best survival horror game to ever exist. Hopefully we get a remake. It improves apon the first Dead Space(2008) in almost every single way with Isaac talking allowing you to connect with him and the overall story. It also features much more big set pieces then the original did this includes better animations for deaths. The multiplayer PvP was fun also.

Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered9

The game plays and looks great. There is lot's of gadgets and suits to choose from and is filled to the brim with side content from the various DLC's. The story is great with some amazing set pieces and villains combined with a very emotional story at times. The game is almost a perfect 10/10 but is held back by how much of the side content is a grind at times and the slow MJ and Miles missions where you just sneak around.

Solid game but is very short. Using Miles abilities feels great. The story is good and is a great way to introduce people to Miles before Spider-Man 2.

Resident Evil 38
Oct 22, 2023
Good game but short. Easily the worst of the RE remakes. There is a lot of content from the OG cut. But overall it is a really strong game gameplay wise with the introduction of the dodge mechanic. Almost gave it a 7 but I feel like that is a bit harsh.

Resident Evil 210

It is stunning with a good return to horror. And is interesting to play the game from both Claire and Leon's perspectives. This is one of if not the best survival horror games out there. The story is solid adaptation of the original, modernizing it but also still keeping some of the goofy stuff from the original. Leon and Claire are very likeable. The gameplay is solid.

The graphics are stunning. And the return to more horror based game is incredible. The first person perspective is a warm welcome and a new feel for the Resident Evil franchise. The game featured lot's of cool DLC content. And is easily one of my favourite RE games.

Gameplay wise it is a improvement across the board from the original. Graphically it is amazing. Story is great just like the original. There is a few cut parts that I would of liked to see but overall is a great game and is up there for my game of the year.

While at launch it was lacking with content it is now filled to the brim with content. This is the definitive pirate game with a stellar unique art style. The water looks amazing. It is amazing to play with friends. It is both relaxing as you sail the seas, fish, cook and do voyages while also being very intense when you get into the PvP battles or even fight the Kraken for the first time. I became a pirate legend and have dumped a lot of time into the game. Originally I would say to avoid it if you dislike PVE but with the Pirates Life(The pirates of the Caribbean story) and the Monkey Island story combined with the fact PVE servers are on the way, I will say now it a perfect time to get into the game. The game is very repayable with constant content updates.

Easily one of the best survival games out there with a good gripping story and world. It has a nice art style and the graphics are very good. Seeing the subsurface scattering through the grass and leaves is stunning. The game has plenty of depth and features good progression with some good bosses. The world... well backgarden is rich with detail and is easily the most well polished survival games which doesn't relay heavily on procedural generation like other survival games. The story/world is also very intriguing and you just want to know more on how and why you have been shrunk and how the world around you operates. The game has had good continuous support making it truly incredible.

Almost a perfect game. The multiplayer component is what ruined it for me the connection issues ruin it. Otherwise this game is incredible and really draws you in into the mystery. The story is solid and the main protag, Cole is also quite likable. The gameplay is great even if the shooting is the best I have felt. It really makes you think/plan out what you are going to do.

Cool setting and ideas but overall falls flat with very limited depth compared to their previous games. The cutscenes are just stills and static hologram esk visions which is very boring and makes me care very little about the story. It is very average.

Gameplay wise this is the best Hero shooter out there. But it is wildly held back but it's monetisation badly. And with the PVE hero missions and skill tree's being cancelled it is a big shame to give it a 7 when the gameplay is there for a potential for a 8 if not a 9. It has the most iconic hero designs out of any other hero shooter. Hopefully with the Activision Blizzard and Microsoft merger they will be allowed to work on the PVE stuff again but that is wishful thinking.

Last Of Us is a outstanding game. With amazing performances and a immersive world. The story is it's true strong point as you see Ellie and Joel's relationship grow as they go on a long Journey against all odds. Gameplay is solid and intense.

This game is incredibly immersive with amazing graphics and outstanding sound design. It is short but it is amazing at everything it tries to do. Combat is very strong even with it not being the focal point. The performance is outstanding from Melina Juergans. Can't wait to see the sequel.

Great game with amazing graphics and a solid story. The gameplay is good. The game is very immersive. It is also a very emotional game which goes hand in hand with the setting. The foliage is incredible and visuals are top tier. The animations and performances are outstanding and definitely carry the story. Over hated for sure but story wise does feel weaker then the original but still manages to do great.

The story and visuals of this game are stunning and beautiful. The performances are incredibly especially from Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan. The setting is perfect and the world is huge and rich with life. One of the most immersive games I have played. Gameplay is solid. The online component is also very good but they are not adding anymore major content updates to it which is a huge shame and could easily bring the score down to a 9 but the game is so good overwise that I can't.

The game is good but it lacks exciting set pieces and boss fights, It is purely a Bethesda RPG through and through. The story is mostly just NPC's talking to you standing still like a typical Bethesda game but with the few instances where they do get creative with it and show you story elements they do it great. There is lot's of loading screens but that doesn't bother me too much tbh. The story is good but the gameplay elements tied to the story are repetitive at points. Side missions is really where the game shines and honestly nearly made me make the game a 8/10 but overall I can't. Crafting Spaceships and bases are great. Visually it is fine but in areas looks very last gen. Combat is much better then the Fallout games. And the game feels like if Skyrim and Fallout had a baby. Overall a good game worth checking out but it falls flat in a lot of areas but also excels in a lot of others. Hopeful to see what the DLC brings.

Marvel's Spider-Man 28
Oct 22, 2023
Spider-Man 2 simply put is a great game with a few tiny flaws but also some good innervations. The story is solid with some amazing set pieces and great acting.
The intro does a amazing job of setting the tone and introducing the controls and mechanics for new and returning players which is does in clever ways while also introducing new mechanics like the web wings. Visually it is great. MJ sections do return and strangely made me feel like I was playing Last Of Us at certain points with her sections adding a lot more combat/takedowns the previously. They were generally okay and didn't feel like they took much away from the pacing for the most part. Combat is really good and is fun. With the new addition of the abilities for both Miles and Peter it makes fighting more flashy and fun. Though gadgets are lacking greatly compared to the last games. The new parry adds some depth to the combat with the new attacks that can only be parried and the smash attacks that can only be dodged. Stealth is very easy in this game with the addition of the web line and the double take downs. Which could be seen as both a positive and a negative depending who you ask. Traversal overall is a lot faster and feels like you have a lot more tools at your disposal to do so including the Web wings, Web launch and abilities that allow you to dash and jump higher mid air(similar/same to as in Miles Morales game but not using your meter to do so). I feel like the second half of the game is weaker then the first half by quite a bit. With the generic enemy types becoming very VERY generic and boring design wise in my opinion. The bosses for the most part are all solid throughout the whole game often featuring a huge set piece but even the ones without huge set pieces where you are destroying half the city they are still great. Side content in general is okay with some cool engaging story lines. But I did have a nit pick with the enemies that use fire considering they establish the black suit is fire proof earlier on but enemies still damage you with fire even when you are in the suit(Obviously it is for gameplay reasons so people aren't forced to use the black suit for a advantage hence it being a nit pick). End game is lacking. With very small reason to replay the game on the Ultimate difficulty with the lack of Trophy or reward for doing so. Combined with the fact there is currently no Mission Replay option(outside of completely replaying the entire game) and no New Game+ there is very little incentive to keep playing/replay it after you are done outside of just challenging yourself with the Ultimate difficulty. I experienced quite a lot of bugs and visual issue errors throughout my play through. From takedowns animations making me spin around the enemy like crazy to inputs being unresponsive and being soft locked and having to restart from last checkpoint. On the visual issue side I saw random parts of air conditioning units just floating on rooftops and missing wall geometry. I platinumed the game in about 25 hours. It left me wanting more so hopefully there is DLC or a New Game on the horizon. *They did announce plans to add Mission Replay and New Game+ by the end of the year. When they add those features and fix some of the bugs my review may easily change to a 9*
