Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 29
Jul 19, 2011
Works better when watched directly after the first part, and that's what this score is for. The last 10 minutes I didn't like too much, the rest was great though, and certain scenes were amazing. Good acting all round, would've liked more Bellatrix as usual

Not perfect by any means, and the main character is odd and destructive to the point of not being relatable - but it's still effortlessly charming for the most part, especially towards the start and the end. Ayoade has better things to come. Definitely not for everyone

I'm still unsure whether I like this or not, I was really hyped for it and it didn't meet my expectations. It was very hit and miss - some scenes were brilliant, yet some were rushed and clumsy.

The Hangover Part II2

Absolutely horrendous. The only reason I didn't leave halfway through is because I was with two girls and didn't want to look like a ****, and didn't want to do the characters a disservice - because I truly loved the original. I came in with no expectations - the critics said it was bad but people I know seemed to love it. In fact, everyone in the cinema was roaring with laughter. I wasn't.

It's nice to see the Inception still has an effect on hollywood - not necessarily inspiring people (Duncan Jones was already showing his worth with Moon a few years back), but making it known that films can have fairly complicated plots and still be successful. It isn't nearly as good as Moon, but it's just great to come out of a blockbuster and have something to talk about

like the books, it is imperfect. But it just makes the good bits even better. Kieren Culkin stands out as Wallace Wells, and the cast are perfectly, well, cast as the the characters from the comic

If this was purely an art house film, the first essentially wordless half hour would be extended with no human involvement and would make a beautiful film. Alas, this is not the case and this film has to include some relevance to modern times and true narrative.
This film is 10/10 for me in the sections with only the robots. The sections with the humans are 6/10, which brings the score down for me.

exactly what conschobhar said. This film is fairly average, and would've been an entertaining night out for those who haven't seen the original I guess, but seriously - watch let the right one in, if you cant deal with subtitles, then you're just decreasing the value of your experience with this story.
Like buying Asda brand cola, its a cheap substitute

slow-paced and beautiful. I can't say much more than that, and I don't want to big up the ending and ruin it for anyone - but I loved it. I'd give it a 9 but i'll give it a 10 to get the score higher (Y)

It was not as good as the book I'm dissapointed to say. I'm not sure if it was the english dub but the script just felt bland. Actors for Blomkvist and Salander were well-chosen though

great, minimalistic film that makes use of science fiction roots to provide an original and intriguing experience.
Jones is someone to look out for, and I've always been a fan of Sam Rockwell so it is great to see him in a leading role
