the game is fun for a while and has a very charming art style, but it gets repetitive. you basically have to grind for hours just to get decent items/stats to be any good at this game. you also have to put up with a bunch of arrogant elitist players who will kick you just for not being level 90 and having the perfect gear. if that wasn't bad enough, there are also tons of cheaters who get all their loot through hacks which ruins the challenge of game. it may be fun if you play only with friends you trust, or if you enjoy the "grindy" gameplay, otherwise i would pass or wait for a sale.

very fun game that feels like an epic adventure in 2d. you gather resources to build your home and equipment in order to fight stronger and stronger enemies. there is a sense of discovery as you dig through the world looking for special items and precious metals. there are so many things to do and you have total freedom like minecraft. it has a periodic updates and there is lots of custom content put out by the community, so it never gets boring.

very fun and challenging game. for $20 you get basically one of the most unique and rewarding shooters out on the market today. i'm truly impressed by what overkill has done and look forward to any of their future projects, as well as more dlc for payday which is forthcoming. get this if you like realistic FPS that requires tactics and good teamwork.

the community is almost dead now because it's a 5+ year old game and the sequel is already out but this is probably the best FPS i've ever played. it had the perfect mix of realism and gameplay balance. sadly tripwire has dumbed down the sequel to appeal more to the mainstream market so we will probably never see a shooter as good as this again, until maybe the guys who made the Darkest Hour mod for Ostfront make their own game. RIP Ostfront you were the best damn ww2 game i've ever played.
