I've been playing this game since one month after the launch. It's held my interest for all this time it's free. It's unbelievable how good this game is. The exploration is wonderful with huge maps to explore and many secrets to uncover. The gameplay is endlessly fascinating with complex elemental resonance to trigger if you use certain character combinations. The music is incredible - top notch orchestral pieces that use both western and eastern instruments to create sublime pieces of music. Anyone that gives this game low scores is doing so because of a misguided reaction to a lack of developer generosity in giving away free stuff. The game is free. Yes, it is a gacha game but you do not have to spend money on it, and it doesn't push you to spend. I do, because I want to support the game and love getting new characters. The developers are reliable and update the game every 6 weeks although currently their situation is difficult since they are based in Shanghai which has a total lockdown imposed.

It's crazy fun to play with your tanks roaming the wasteland and fighting monsters, But the story is very slight and the characters a bit one-dimensional. As a fan of Metal Max games I enjoyed it but it's not for everyone. The tank customisation is brilliant and you will collect an impressive armoury of tanks and tank weapons. Dungeons are explored on foot and they are very similar in design and not very interesting, but exploring the wastelands in tanks is always fun. To do everything you have to play the game a number of times, although that's not too hard to do.

This is the best. game. ever. I first played it back in 2005 and it's still the best JRPG I've ever played. It's hilarious, sad (moved me to tears) and epic, referencing real events (World War 1, Rasputin, Lawrence of Arabia) in an alternative world where there is magic and demons. Yuri is a wonderful protagonist who is powerful (with this demonic fusions) and funny with a sharp wit despite a tortured soul. The story is epic, the cutscenes amazing, and the characters memorable - a vampire, a white wolf, Anastasia Romanov to name a few. Each character has a detailed side quest that reveals more about them, and the gameplay is the best of any game. Turn-based but with a judgement ring that requires times key pressed to get the best out of it. I recommended this game to two friends who were Final Fantasy fanatics and after playing it they both changed their minds about which is the best. game. ever. It's Shadow Hearts Covenant.

Great game in a fantastic series of games. Sadly, ignored in the west but Japan has been turning out Metal max games since 1991. Roam the world in a fleet of pinpoint accurate tanks - drive a German Tiger and Maus tank (only 2 were built and they were very heavy but could go underwater), and customise your tanks with an awesome painting option. Tons of fantastic mini-games and some hilarious enemies. It's a comic game as well as taking tanks very seriously.
