Overall, Shadow of the Erdtree is in my opinion, many ways better than the base game. Cave/Dungeon designs are more unique and nuanced, music is better overall, and bosses are harder yet more enjoyable. Obviously, some fights could use some work (final boss especially), but the base game suffered from that as well. The only things holding me back from giving this a 10/10 is of course, the performance issues, and camera problems at many points throughout the game. Otherwise, the DLC is almost perfect and super, super fun.

Genuinely such an amazing game. I remember in early access I would await every time a new update would come out, so I could play the new level with my friend. A very unexpected hit for me. Even if you don't like or aren't familiar with Countryballs (like me), you'll still enjoy this game. The levels are gigantic, with something crammed in every corner. The graphics are amazing for what the game is. I recommend this game to anybody, if you love 3d platformers and collect-a-thons, please play it.
