While the platforming and controls are obviously top notch, the overall atmosphere, art style, and sense of dark humor are all the main reasons why this works so much for me. Physical copies are pretty cheap now, too.

Not really my thing as I've only gotten 10 or so hours out of it but I know a good game when I see one, and Ed certainly knows how to make them.

Not the best Metroidvania on the Switch but it's hard not to recommend for a mere 10 dollars.

Nostalgia based humor is without a doubt hit-or-miss, but overall a fun romp for a decent price.
