The Wolf Among Us: Episode 1 - Faith10
Dec 14, 2013
This game was an absolute treat! Artistically, it's very nice with it's noir color schemes and popular culture and literary references, with wonderful soundtrack to accompany it. It is also incredibly story-focused; which I LOVE in a game! The fact that the game is based on player choices also lends itself to incredible replay value! It's a game filled with complex and fascinating characters that will delight any story lover!

Penumbra: Black Plague10
Sep 16, 2013
This is definitely the best entry in the Penumbra series! The horror elements are better refined than the predecessor, and the monsters are more intelligent to force you to use your wits to survive! Artistically, the atmosphere, storytelling, music, and sound effects are phenomenal giving you little respite between horror and suspenseful events! The puzzles in this game are also some of the most intricate and well-planned out of any computer game I've ever played you'd better have a notebook handy when you play through this game or you'll be stuck for hours!

Penumbra: Overture8
Sep 16, 2013
This is a worthy addition to the survival/horror genre with its clever storyline and puzzle-solving mechanics. Add to it the danger of monsters and an inventory system that entices you to explore every dark corner and you've got a solid game. I enjoyed Penumbra: Overture and would recommend it!

Penumbra: Requiem5
Sep 16, 2013
This game felt rushed and very incomplete. It's like they took the scrapped concepts from Black Plague and published it! The story feels like a hasty exit from the high intrigue and suspense of its predecessor, and it just lacked the overall quality of terrifying events and clever puzzles that I've come to expect from Frictional Games. If you like the Penumbra series, go for it! Otherwise skip...

Amnesia: The Dark Descent10
Sep 16, 2013
This is far and away the most terrifying piece of media I've ever encountered. No movie, book, TV show, or other game can match the terror of Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Every detail from music, voice acting, plot elements, and puzzle solving has been meticulously crafted to scare the player to death. For its artistic merits alone I've recommended it to literally everybody I know! This is one of the best games I've played in years! If you haven't at least tried it, you're missing out!
