Halo Infinite5

This has absolutely no business being an 8.5/10 and is clearly boosted by Halo fanboys and paid ratings. The open world setting is forced and tedious. It can be fun at times but it artificially extends the hours played. The way you need to find audio logs for story is annoying, but not quite as bad as Destiny. My gripe is the last quarter of the game. Two back to back boss fights, one so poorly hidden I (and many others) thought the game was glitched. To trigger one of the last 3 boss fights you need to activate a VERY easy to miss hologram which is the size of a quarter on the ground. That boss fight is yet another invisible enemy which is NOT FUN. There is nothing fun about fighting an enemy you literally cannot see. Then the second last boss fight is annoying and tedious. All the bosses are bullet sponges with no original mechanics. What gives with the random area defence at the end? It makes no sense and is completely forced. Why are we armed to the teeth by our enemies but some of the brutes have no weapons? And why are the brutes without weapons harder to kill than brutes with weapons? Why are snipers so deadly and so easily able to get off accurate shots so fast? I'm on normal and can get sniped instantly. Also what gives with the frequent Hunter enemies? These are easily some of the most annoying enemies in the game series. In the OG Halo games they were very infrequent and designed as mini boss fights but there are too many of them in this game. So many of the weapons are underpowered as well and burn through ammo like nothing. Many of the weapons aren't even worth using. This is easily one of the worst gameplay options in the series. I've never rage quit so many times during campaign. I'm playing easy because I want the story, not because I want to die 450 times per mission. Multiplayer admittedly is good, but campaign is awful and so broken up that the story is dumb and makes no sense. I defended the last entry but wow this was bad. Not a console seller.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Story Arc 1 - Legacy of the First Blade: Episode 310
Jul 8, 2021
Just ignore CoolDadTX and all of the people who complain about that stuff. This is an AC game, not some game in a fluid universe. I doubt this user has any knowledge of the AC universe and simply views this as a dumbed down hack and slash RPG rather than the story-driven lore-heavy game that it is. After all, you play as someone with Isu blood. This story was absolutely incredible and left me feeling some kind of way. It was very satisfying for this AC lore fan.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Story Arc 1 - Legacy of the First Blade: Episode 28
Jul 8, 2021
Another reviewer said this and I want to address it before reviewing myself: "Even with the "fix" for the complaints about the ending, you are still forced down this exact same path anyway. I did everything to be negative to the character I was supposed to woo and yet the story didn't change at all." AC is a universe, not an RPG where you can do whatever you want. Why even play an AC game if this is your goal? This isn't some mythical Sparta hack and slash; it's part of an expansive universe and the path it "forces you down" is necessary for the series to make actual sense. For what it's worth it's pretty cringe to be playing a "bad guy" play through on a game like this. Now, onto the DLC. The gameplay is pretty well the same and locations are the same, so I won't touch on that. It makes the map feel more whole and lively. This is where the story gets really good, so much so that it overshadows much of the main storyline. I wont' say how, but this part gets really fun and is a must play for AC lore-heads.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey: Story Arc 1 - Legacy of the First Blade7
Jul 8, 2021
If you are a fan of the lore of the series, particularly if you've been playing since AC2, then this DLC is a must. It's incredibly underrated because a lot of the people giving bad reviews are people wanting a full RPG style game but of course that doesn't work within the AC lore and universe. The first episode starts off a bit slow, but becomes incredible, especially if you are a fan of the series and its lore. I don't want to spoil it but I have a word of advice for anyone about to play: - Download all the DLC with Odyssey, and play all the quests in each area as you get them. Don't wait for the main game to be complete before starting the DLC. Let it flow and just do whatever is near you at the time. Just don't dive too deep into the Fate of Atlantis until you've completed this DLC and the main game. - If you haven't played AC2 and aren't familiar with it, either watch a YT let's play, or take the time to read up on some locations and characters on the Wiki. I recommend the former. - If you haven't played Origins through, play it now. Now, onto gameplay... It's a bit lackluster on episode 1, but it wound up being a great setup for the rest of the DLC and also had a rather funny moment I won't spoil.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey - The Fate of Atlantis - Episode 1: Fields of Elysium5
Jul 8, 2021
Three part review: Episode 1: - Far too open, to the point where it's tedious. To get a good ending you literally need to constantly be referencing guides to figure what quests are next and what order you want to do the quests in to achieve the best ending. - Far too many choices that will impact far too many parts of the story, and if you don't do certain missions in the right order then you'll wind up not even being able to do all of the choices you want. This leads to revisiting the same locations multiple times and fighting the same enemies more than once. The entire flow of this episode has been so bad that it's taken me out of the game completely. - Note: In fact I'm quite a few hours in and because I didn't get to a specific quest in time, I'm not forced to either load back two hours past (since apparently I have 5 autosaves that took place in the same location in the same mission, too late to go back and get the missing quest, and then another one that is hours ago. Episode 2: - Better pacing, but still not good. - Annoying to climb terrain but not as bad as episode 2. - Decent enough voice acting and some cool cutscenes and characters. - Tedious combat. Episode 3: - Absolutely awful combat. Whose idea was it to disguise full scale bosses as Atlantean Polemarchs? They are complete bullet sponges and their attacks are BEYOND FRUSTRATING. They'll remove ALL of your adrenaline immediately even if you're mid overpower attack. They spawn WAY TOO MANY circle attacks (AOE) which are far too large given the tiny little area you have to fight them in. Their melee attacks are way too powerful as well and have too much range. You can't do anything on them and they eat your health way too fast. One of them is in such a tight area that he made for a tougher fight than any boss in the game, including the boar. This is NOT FUN Ubisoft. They are way too powerful and have way too much health. They shouldn't be spawned beside other enemies either. - AWFUL pacing. I can't even enter half the locations because I don't have knowledge level 1 (let alone 2 or 3). This is causing me to run around random locations trying to boost my knowledge level by measly 3 points at a time. With all that being said, the entire point of this DLC is pointless to the main story. I won't say how, but the only relevant details are modern day. Nothing you do in this DLC as Kassandra/Alexios actually matters and it's a huge waste of time. TLDR: Episode one has AWFUL pacing, episode 2 is the best one despite being tedious, episode 3 has awful pacing and the worst combat out of the entire game and both DLCs. Seriously what gives with these "Polemarchs"?? Has Ubisoft ever even tested this??? Final conclusion after beating game: This DLC adds a lot of lore for the Isu and for that it gets a 5/10, but so much of this was frustrating.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla2
Jul 8, 2021
Review V2 - Power Level 13 - Review will be updated as I progress. **BEWARE THE FAKE GOOD REVIEWS AND "HELPFUL REVIEWS"** Out of the RPG style trilogy (Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla), this one is far and away the worst, in fact this might be the worst AC game ever. I doubt this will change. Cons: - Feels more dead than any other AC game. The few NPCs that are there are even less lively than Skyrim NPCs, and this game is a decade newer. - The acting so far is worse than any AC game in recent memory. Eivor's actress is not good, none of the side characters are good (at least not yet). - The open world so far feels extremely hollow, boring, and repetitive. The side quests are so out of the way and are all over the place on difficulty. Despite being the newest game, this has visuals that are worse than Origins, Odyssey, and Unity. - The entire health system. First of all, the fact your health doesn't regenerate when out of combat AT ALL is the most stupid design decision I've ever seen in a video game. You need to constantly be looking for food, looting bushes for berries (good luck figuring out which ones have them). You can also only hold a few rations at a time, which are effectively your health packs. - The game is extremely buggy. - The control layout. If you played AC Origins and Odyssey and used the alternate controls, well I hate to inform you that they are not in Valhalla. They have a feature called "customize controls" but the problem is you can't customize anything without breaking the controls. I tried every variation I could to get a Unity/Syndicate/Origins/Odyssey layout, but each one resulted in other functions becoming unusable (assassinations, interacting, crouching). It's just awful and these controls are completely foreign to any RPG I've ever played. RB/RT to attack? RB being the light attack? X to roll? Whose idea was this??? - The bird is completely useless. It can't spot anything at all. - It's often too dark in caves and it's a huge pain to equip torches in this game. What was wrong with Origins and Odyssey torches Ubisoft??? This is awful. - The skill tree is ridiculous to navigate through. It takes up far too room, is not clear enough, the icons are too small without zooming in, and everything is too far apart and spread out for no reason. It's also impossible to tell why they are divided this way. - The combat is just ridiculous. It's too choppy to rely on parrying and dodging doesn't always work, sometimes it'll dodge twice right away. Worst part is dodging consumes stamina. - Extremely repetitive combat. The archery combat combines the worst of Odyssey and worst of Origins to make what is the most annoying ranged combat in a game. Like Origins it has the different arrow types (a good thing), but unlike Origins you can only have one bow on you at a time. - The game has been out several months and there are still constant Reddit threads of bugs. Ubisoft will not address the button mapping issues. - The parkour is the worst parkour I've seen yet. It's way worse than Unity which had issues. The character is so clunky to use and constantly changes directions too easily. Want to climb up? Too bad you're going sideways! But just like the previous two AC games, the old frustrations of climbing are also still there. If you care about this series, just watch a Let's Play on YouTube. This is not worth your money OR your time. I can't think of any good to put into this. It's historically inaccurate. This is all coming from someone who hated Origins and Odyssey at first and then gave them a chance and wound up liking them a fair bit (despite their flaws). I hope this story gets better because right now I'm not sold on anything.

Assassin's Creed Odyssey4
Jun 15, 2021
Recent points of major frustration: - 20 hours into this game. This whole "hold assassination button" and "hold dodge button to roll to put out flames" is stupid. The saves are TERRIBLE. The hold A to assassinate is completely unresponsive and has ruined MULTIPLE stealth attempts because of the unresponsive controls. You pretty much need the 6th sense perk just to compensate for how unresponsive the hold A assassination is. This game took Origins' annoying "assassination doesn't actually assassinate" to a whole new level. You pretty much need to hold A for 90% of enemies in game. These teleporting ultra agro mercenaries are annoying, and the fact that killing regular in-game enemies sets them off makes for awful gameplay. I just had to redo an entire mission because at the very end of a fight at the end, a high level mercenary came and shot me with a fire arrow. I held B to put out the fire, but the button didn't work in time and I died right away. No checkpoint of any kind during that mission apparently. Main complaints I have (mostly compared to Origins): - The Assassin, Warrior, and Hunter damage mechanic is unnecessarily confusing; - Complete lack of stealth based game options (no poison darts, no flesh decay arrows, can't even one shot an enemy in the head with an arrow, and assassinations don't actually one-hit a lot of the enemies; - Skill tree is a massive step back on Origins (again, I want more stealth kill options); - The boar enemies are so unbelievably difficult for what they are. - The cutscenes are not great. Alexios looks confused all the time and the facial expressions look like they're glitched or something. Bayek cutscenes were way better. Why do Alexios' eyes need to move around the way they do? It's like a baby looking at a colourful object. - The mercenaries are way too aggressive and teleport way too fast, and they shouldn't be getting aggro'd because you beat enemies in an area (non Spartan or Athenians, literally just thugs). - The boat combat is annoying and often redundant. Two separate missions now, by the time I got to my boat to undock it, the Athenian or Spartan navy wiped out the enemy I was supposed to kill. Fine I guess, except those same navies make everything near impossible in the ocean without spending crazy money on upgrades. - Several loading screens, and they're long. - A fair amount of crashes. - Movement around the map is annoying and tedious at times. The horse does a full 180 at the slightest bump on a hill, climbing rocks is a glitch fest, or just very slow at best, and there are A LOT of rocks. - Really bad level design on some missions. I just wound up wiping out an entire fort, 7-8 elite enemies, a leader of an area, all because my objective (a door) was there. It cost me 2000 drachmae just to pay off the bounties I got during this fight. Update: Once again, I was tasked with multiple objectives within an enemy fort. This resulted in me wiping out the entire fort. - The fact braziers can get lit without you actually getting caught. Results in an endless stream of enemies and forces you to spend thousands on paying off mercenaries that teleport to you (unless you want to fight two mercenaries and an entire fort at once). - The choice system, though a nice add, is very unrefined and makes for weird unpredictable dialogue and in-game consequence. Main improvements: - Combat (mainly the blunts, spears, and daggers are usable now, dodging works better, enemy combos are less annoying); - Entire mercenary system is better minus the teleportation and unnecessary aggro; - Entire conquest/leader system is very fun; - Storyline itself is atypical of an AC game, but in a good way. Ultimately I would recommend this, but it's even further away from AC style games than Origins so don't expect a stealth driven experience. I thought Origins gear system, stealth combat, skill trees, and cutscenes were better. I doubt these opinions change so I'll leave this review up. On the game, so far it's a 4/10, mostly being faulted due to extremely frustrating mechanics that often break the game (teleporting aggressive mercenaries, unresponsive "hold button" controls. The storyline does tie into the Isu and Templar-ish storylines so it's not just a random Greek game as others have indicated. The AC game's lore has always involved Isu and artifacts. It's never been just a history stealth game, and if you like the series, you really should immerse yourself in the Isu storyline because it's a very cool concept on humanity's origins. It's a nice blend of sci-fi, and fantasy. Ultimately it's fun, but extremely frustrating at times, and it feels like this was not properly play-tested. I want my poison darts back, I want arrows that will actually kill basic enemies on headshots, and I want to just be able to regularly press A for a kill, not hold it. Half the time by the time it's done being held, the enemy is alerted and I'm dragged into a fight with 42 enemies

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Curse of the Pharaohs8
Jun 11, 2021
Curse of the Pharaohs definitely delivers on value for a DLC. The world is large, but not too large, and it's ultimately a fun add-on with a good storyline. If you're wondering how it fits into the AC and Isu lore, it surprisingly does but I won't say how. Main Pro: Without spoiling anything, there are many very interesting parts of the main campaign DLC. Main Con: The boss fights are all very tedious and annoying. Basically just shoot the boss until your overpower attack is charged, rinse and repeat. Cinematic (visuals, acting, storyline): 8.6/10 Gameplay (stealth, combat): 8/10 Value (how much it's worth the money): 9/10 Overall review: 8.5/10

Assassin's Creed Origins8
Jun 11, 2021
I'll divide this review over two sections Gameplay / Mechanics - 7.4/10 This game admittedly starts slow, which is typical of an AC game. This game can still be played stealthily, but has even more RPG style elements than the rest. The mechanics are quite a bit different than Syndicate, but they make sense. I used the second control layout so the game played more closely to Syndicate for controls. Please give it a chance though as the entire first 10 levels are almost all introductory style levels. I recommend gathering as much hard and soft leather and cedarwood as you can during this stage. Also do not ever sell your animal materials as they are tedious to get for later quests. The gameplay functions well with the story and it leads you into each section of the map bit by bit. When I first tried this game I didn't like it very much, but after trying it again and committing more time to it, I loved it. The beginning area is a bit bland, but the rest of the map is absolutely gorgeous. The missions all felt fresh and none were overly repetitive. The slightly repetitive ones were pulled together by diverse visual locations and great acting/storylines. The bad: sometimes the hitboxes are frustrating to the point where it will show as a headshot but not hit at all and instead alert an enemy; sometimes the movement of the character is frustrating especially climbing, but neither are to the point where it impedes on the game, and the combat is good enough where you can fight your way out of most situations. Personally I am not a big fan of Senu as I found it tedious, but he does get better later. I much prefer eagle vision in previous AC games. These games are simply too much of a pain without being able to know where the enemies all are. Flying Senu around constantly is more of a pain than anything and it doesn't make any more "sense" for realism than eagle vision did. Just give us back eagle vision please. Some of the boss fights are a bit annoying instead of being hard but I won't get into detail to avoid spoilers. Storyline / Characters No spoilers so I can't say much detail, but I found the storyline really good. I wasn't a huge fan of the ending in its entirety, but to each their own. The characters were all very well written and the acting as usual is spot-on. This was a very easy game to be fully immersed into. I appreciate Ubisoft's commitment to hiring professional voice actors. Visuals / Music Again, I was not a fan of the first area, but wow is the rest of the game striking visually. The detail was completely jaw-dropping and it was fascinating to explore. The music was very fitting and adding to the awe. The lighting, graphics, and physics, were all amazing. I HIGHLY recommend doing the Tour mode prior to the game if you aren't familiar with Ancient Egypt. If I had these games growing up I'd have taken a huge interest in history. The detail AC games have with history are always good, but they really impressed on this one. This very well could be a 10/10, but the ending, some mechanics, and some frustrating missions make it an 8/10. EDIT as of starting the beginning of the sequel and finishing both DLCs. Main Pros: Phylake system, bow and arrow system, gear upgrading system, Main Cons: Combat (enemies dodging backwards, unresponsive player dodging, and overpowered combos you can't get away from).

This really is a game meant to be played on the Series X, not the One. The small dev team did a great job on this game, and its reviews are due to the rocky start as, some bugs, as well as brutal lag on the Xbox One and PS4. On Series X, it runs fine, and on a good PC it also runs fine. I personally found it was not horrible on XB1. You don't have to play the story part of the game and if you want you can just mess around in an open world dinosaur game. It's best with friends. 6.5/10.

Assassin's Creed Origins: The Hidden Ones5
May 30, 2021
Story The story flowed pretty well but wasn't as captivating as the main game. For the same reason I didn't like the ending of the main game that much, I also didn't like the ending of this DLC that much. I won't mention any spoilers but I was not very satisfied. I'll give this a 6/10 because they missed a clear chance to bring in the story in a way that was more satisfying. Gameplay This DLC involves a new area, and in that new area I noticed even more bugs and issues than the main game. There is one boss fight side quest that involved fighting with fists and it was extremely annoying. It's also annoying that a boss will lock you into a combo where you cant move, causing you to lose 3/4 of your health. The backstep move that many enemies do is always annoying since closing distance doesn't work well. This isn't new to the game, but made worse by many enemies in this DLC. The climbing physics in much of this DLC area was awful. It also felt a bit hollow and empty. No reason to even go back after beating DLC and areas. 4/10. The weapons you get are nice though. Visuals & Audio Voice acting, music, characters, and sound effects were all incredible. Ubisoft does an amazing job at this so it's an easy 10/10. All in all, I got this with the curse DLC for 60% as a bundle, meaning $22 CAD for the two. At that price it's worth the money. I'd be some mad if I spent $40 on a DLC and got this.

Madden NFL 210
May 20, 2021
I have been playing Madden every year since 2003. This is the first time I've waited for a game to become dirt cheap to purchase. Each of the last 5 years the pass rush has gotten worse and worse, so how can they make defence even more unbearable this year? Oh yeah, let's nerf user LB by adding in a change of direction stat (what is agility for then???). Pretty much any player under 88 COD is like running around on ice (by the way that's almost all LBs and most safeties). Corners either seem to get crazy interceptions or won't fight for the ball. Pass rushing is a joke to the point where you can't even play well if you user a pass rusher even if you have perfect snap jump timing. Run defence is not completely terrible, but the rest of the defence is unusable, and this is from someone who manages around 60-65% win percentage primarily based on good defence. Playing good defence on M21 is mostly luck. Offence is even worse this year. For the 9th straight year, screen passes will glitch out at such a high rate they become a risk to use. Your RB will get stuck behind a defender or an OL causing a sack or fumble or incompletion. WR screens rarely work. Counter plays rarely work. There are just so many plays in every playbook that are unusable. It's the same garbage every year. The plays should be able to function properly. I'm also annoyed that one slight wrong angle juking and my guy will run backwards 15 yards. 50/50 balls are more likely 90/10 for the defender because a lot of the time your receiver won't even try and jump, even with coach adjustment. Also, why are we even stuck using coach adjustment on obvious plays? Obviously I want my receiver to jump to catch a 50/50. Why is this even an option or default to do otherwise. Franchise mode is a joke. You used to be able to hire your own DC and OC, you used to be able to front load and backload contracts, and still none of that. How about instead of releasing a brand new trash game, EA commits to creating one really good football game, and then selling a subscription. Forcing MUT onto me will never work. MUT **** and is tedious to get started without money.

This is a fun game. The mechanics are smooth, the four dwarf classes are well thought out, the game itself is of a small size and will fit onto even a small hard drive space. It's tough to define this as a genre, but it's well worth the friends. The community in matchmaking is good, but this is a blast to play with friends. Each mission is about 15-20 minutes, making it easy to "dive" into for a quick session. This might be one of the best value buys. 9/10 for delivering a great game at this price point. Value is an important element for a review IMO. I spent maybe $5 on this game and managed to get over 100 hours of play.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order7
May 8, 2021
I'd give this a 7.5/10. It was a fun game and a bit of a mix-up from the hacker/slasher I expected. KOTOR and Fallen Order are entirely different games. This is more of an Uncharted style of game, but it works. There are some things that feel forced for the sake of gameplay (sliding, cracks, ropes, for example, among other mechanics that felt too convenient). I like that falling to your death is not punishing because it smoothes out some of the more annoying platforming mechanics. The combat being timing based makes it simply too hard if you are not playing on performance mode. The story line is satisfying and the characters are good. Lightsaber customization was adequate enough, but not as good as KOTOR. KOTOR remains the gold standard of Jedi-based Starwars games, but this is a nice and welcome series in my opinion. I would like to see EA also create a new KOTOR-style game, or something less linear and open world. The main con I have for this game is how unintuitive much of the games, puzzles, and level designs are. There was a lot of YouTube searching to find out what to do. It was also frustrating to get back to the ship and navigate various maps. Some kind of a waypoint would have been nice.

This is a bit of a mixed review. The characters and voice acting were well done, the architecture and map design was top notch (as usual for any Ubisoft game), but many gameplay mechanics and missions were repetitive and annoying (also common for Ubisoft games). This is a game I've been meaning to play for a while, but I didn't want to pay full price. I got it on sale for under $10 and it was a good game for that price. There are a lot of very unintuitive things I don't like about Assassin's Creed games, but ever since Black Flag I like that they've allowed more freedom in how players play. This is a solid 6/10.

I have bought every single Madden since 2003, and I say it every year, but this time it is at an all time low. Madden 08 and 09 were bad, Madden 25 was mediocre at best, and every Madden since 25 has been worse, but THIS absolute scam **** his such a sharp decline that I didn't even know existed. Not only am I blown away that they were able to make this so awful, but I am blown away it's even possible to make a product this terrible. From terrible wonky user controls, broken WRs with 97+ speed, useless defenders, completely broken coaching mechanics (e.g., aggressive tackling, blocking, strip ball, catching which are all useless), terrible run blocking, useless sidelines... I could write a 10 page essay on why this game is so terrible broken. This franchise has been dying for years, but it is now officially dead.

Let's start with the good! The lighting was well done, excellent variety in enemies, and the lore and storyline are very well done. So yeah, that's basically all the good I can say. TL;DR rating at the end of each segment. Now onto the bad... The voice acting was AWFUL and it complete ruins any immersion despite how hard you try to like it (and believe me I tried very hard to like this game). 0/10 The graphics aren't as advertised and are not what you'd expect from a game at this point in the next gen console's life. AC Unity has far better graphics despite being nearly a year old. 5.5/10 Music is okay, but not nearly as good as Skyrim's. I still give it a 7/10 since they didn't cut corners here. Combat is horrible and needlessly over complicated, considering you only have like two-three weapons and 5 spells. Even on the easy modes you die too quickly. The blocking mechanic is choppy and useless if you're against a group of enemies. The dodge/roll button does nothing since most enemies can attack you while you're rolling. 0/10 The crafting/alchemy thing is awful too. Remember how Far Cry 4 had an annoying number of plants for making potions? Well this game is even worse for that. It's not like you can forego this though, as you need potions/oils to fight certain enemies. 0/10 The gameplay and controls are awful. It is such a pain to try and use a ladder, mount your horse, swim, etc... GTA has generally bad swimming mechanics, but they seem godly compared to this game's swimming mechanics. I literally will do 4 underwater backflips and drown before I resurface. -5/10 This is an even bigger disappointment than Destiny. 2/10

This is easily one of the best Madden games, if not the best. Why a 5/10 though? Because I know EA is paying their PR team to write good "user reviews" on its games. However, I buy the game every year, and this exclusive licensing deal EA has with the NFL is just garbage. Madden is never as good as it could be and the only reason it sells so well is because it's an NFL game. The online play is sometimes great (I'm 20-12) but so often filled with glitches, and not just against you.

The remastered version was not as good as I would have hoped, but it's still an awesome game and worth the money if you haven't played it before, or if you never purchased DLC (you get all DLC for free if you transfer from 360 to One). If you haven't played GTA before, then you are in for a treat. This is probably one of the best storylines to ever be implemented in a video game. It's well worth its higher-than-average rating.

This is my 3rd review upon completing this game. I'll write one brief paragraph of the good, then one brief paragraph of the bad, and lastly a conclusion. The voice acting is excellent, per usual from Ubisoft. The environment feels alive, and the animals make sure you never really feel safe (ANGRY EAGLES EVERYWHERE). Helicopters were a nice touch, autodrive was very convenient, and the gun selection was great. The arena mode was very fun. The storyline had some great moments, some that scared the life out of me, which is always fun (not talking about eagles or snakes this time). Now, onto the bad. There aren't many negatives to say about this game. The storyline at times was boring, sometimes the autodrive would make you go off a cliff, and sometimes YOU GET ATTACKED BY EAGLES EVERYWHERE YOU GO. The radio is quite annoying as you only have one station, and it's pure satire. The real reason I rate this game as low as I do is because it simply is not next-gen quality. The graphics are lackluster compared to many next-gen games. This game absolutely does not compare to Skyrim. The lore in FarCry is not nearly as good Elder Scrolls and it's insulting to ES series to compare FC to it. Conclusion: This game is worth a buy, and you should be able to get about 100 hours out of it, making it well worth $70-80. If this game had graphics as good as Assassin's Creed Unity (same developer), then I would give it a 7/10.

This game went from a 4/10 to a 3/10 after that laughable DLC they released. The storytelling in this game is the worst storytelling I've ever seen from a game. Bungie misled their fans and I'm surprised there isn't a class action lawsuit against Activision and Bungie right now. The gameplay is usually good, which is why this game gets a 3/10 from me and not a 0/10. Mechanics are fun, super abilities are fun, vertical movement adds a nice element of freedom you don't get in many games. However, this game is a 3/10, and I regret pre-ordering the collector's edition. Highly recommend you avoid this game, and all games by Bungie and Activision for the next 10 years.

This game rightfully deserves its bad reviews due to how long it took EA and Dice to fix the piles of glitches it had upon release (about 8 months before it was all fixed). The DLC was lackluster, and didn't really feel worth the $40 for premium. However, they really stepped it up recently, even though there was very little incentive for EA and Dice to try so hard so late after release once the game had been reviewed so badly. This game is definitely worth the money, especially at this point. Vehicular gameplay is the best I've ever seen, and 64 player multiplayer is always exciting. I was once unsatisfied, but they've officially redeemed themselves, sort of. I will be buying Hardline, and Battlefield 5. 5.5/10

Three reasons this game has a bad rating: 1) Angry Xbox 360 and PS3 users are mad because this game was only next-gen. 2) This game had a bunch of glitches and bugs for the first two weeks. 3) This game is not similar to Black Flag. However, is this game a 3.5? No, but it's not perfect. I'd give this game a 5.5 out of 10, which is good because I'm normally a harsh critic. Visuals. Beautiful graphics and environment. Really captivating and engaging story line had me playing "just one more mission" for hours on end. The voice acting was brilliant. The city felt alive, and it was awesome seeing the difference in environments from higher end places to the slums. Gameplay was solid, glitches aside. Unlike past AC games, you can actually play it how you want, whether that be stealthily, straight action, range battles, etc. At times the controls were frustrating, but once you get used to it it's not so bad.

I'm going to review each campaign, then I'll review the multiplayer, and lastly I'll go over glitches, crashes, and bugs. You should note that Microsoft's PR team is responsible for the higher than average User Score ratings on all Microsoft games. It costs them very little to create multiple Metacritic accounts just to boost ratings. The Halo 1 campaign left me feeling bitter. They hardly did anything at all to it. Visually, it looks like a very old Xbox 360 game, not what you'd expect for an Xbox One game at all. The Halo 2 campaign was great. The cut scenes were magnificent, and very well done, particularly the Gravemind cut scene. Unfortunately the rest of the gameplay wasn't what you would expect for a remastered game on the Xbox One, but the cut scenes made up for it. Halo 3 campaign was just a slap in the face. They did absolutely nothing to it. Halo 3 came out 7 years ago. Why on earth did Microsoft think they'd be able to get away without retouching this game? I found myself feeling so disinterested, especially after playing the touched up Halo 2. Halo 4, this is where 343 took over the franchise. I had never played Halo 4 before, but when I played this game, I could hardly believe this was originally an Xbox 360 game. Sure, there were some frame-rate issues, but that didn't take away from the game. Loads of new vehicles and weapons had me feeling excited the whole way through. Multiplayer never worked, and still doesn't work. It'll take ages to matchmake, just to put you in terrible games (like 2v2, or 5v3). 90% of the time it will just kick you anyway, and I have great internet, so it's not on my end. This game was infected with glitches. Hard crashes would cause you to restart the game. You'd see weapons spinning in circles on a wall (minor). Save files would get wiped out and you'd need to restart certain missions. This just to name a few. My conclusion is, don't buy this game if you're strapped for cash. There are better games on the market, and there are even better games coming to market. This is a console exclusive, designed to compete with PS4 console exclusives like Uncharted 4, The Last Of Us, and Order Of 1886. I can definitely tell you that Titanfall, Forza, and Halo do not compete well with PS4. Microsoft didn't step up, they didn't do their job, and I wish I bought a PS4.

Do not be FOOLED BY WARNER BROS PR TEAM who is clearly paying "users" to go and review this game positively. This is average at best. It's like the deformed love (hate) child of Assassin's Creed and Ryse. So incredibly boring. It takes FOREVER to kill an average Uruk or Orc, and more often than not you're stuck sneaking around. Nobody wants a LOTR games where you're stuck sneaking around.

2/10 because it is not worth the price tag. This game should be free to Xbox One owners, or at the very most cost $10, because you will not get anymore than 5 hours into this game without being bored. It looks fantastic, the acting is great, but it is so repetitive you lose interest within 5 hours.

This franchise has been going downhill since Forza 3. Paywalls everywhere you go in this game. Career mode is so boring. Not nearly enough base tracks, and not nearly enough cars. You know what really makes this worth the 1 I gave it? Not only have they not added any new rims since Forza 3, but they've actually reduced the amount of cars available for free from 500 to less than 150 (and you can't buy any of the fun cars without forking out real life money).

It's not bad, it's not good, it's average. They don't claim anything crazy or mislead their fanbase, but there will always be people setting unrealistic expectations for this franchise. The alien mode was loads of fun; so fun that I played more alien mode than PvP.

Good: -Huge step in the right direction for this franchise -Naval combat is much fun -Storyline is engaging and you actually care about the characters -Music is amazing. I felt like a pirate playing this game. Bad: -Stealth mechanics are a joke -Stalking missions are so frustrating -You need to do frustrating side missions to stand any chance at beating the story mission -Underwater mission is not fun, swimming with sharks is NOT fun -Very DLC driven game. -Multiplayer is non-existent -Cooperative mode is more like "lets see how can kill this guy first mode"

I'd rate this game much lower if it costed any money, but it's free so I'll give it something. ... Good: -Very cool to be able to walk around your spaceship when in orbit. -Kinda fun to hack through space-bad-guys with katanas, staffs and space-guns. Bad: -Space guns and katanas get boring pretty quick. -So unbelievably lame, I couldn't even tell if this game was supposed to be funny or serious

Straight-forward, unbiased review, in point form for easy reading. Please read on fellow gamers... Good: -Music is elegant, and inspirational. -$5 if you had it on 360, which is great because they easily could have billed us all $15 and we probably would've bought it anyway. -Really Minecraft is a good game, and I recommend this even if it's $20, because you will get your value out of it and then some. Bad: -You can't see any further despite having bigger worlds, and I was really hoping for an increased line of sight. Conclusion: Great, fun, and simply game. It's fun if you're with friends, but it's also fun if you're alone. A must-buy if you like survival games, creative games, or relaxing games.
