Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary8
Mar 18, 2013
It is a great remake. The graphic is really good for a xbox360 game-the visual effect is pretty, the texture is smooth, the aliasing is barely seen and good enough for a xbox360 game! Actually I have played the original combat evolved on old xbox console, it was amazing, but I only finish 80% of the campaign, which I regret a lot after xbox being outdated. The remake of this game give me a chance to finish this masterpiece without feeling the graphics being outdated. I would probably give the original game a 10 out of 10, if I finished it earlier. Another great thing about this remake is that you can switch between the original graphic and the new graphic, which gives you a chance to feel how the game is changed in the new remake. It is probably the standard of remaking a classic. The only thing I don't like is the price, if it is a little bit cheaper, I would give it a 10 out of 10.

Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days8

Technically it is not satisfying. The control is awkward, and some serious bugs really affect the experience. The length is also a big flaw. If you are very good at shoot, you would complete the entire story in 6 hours. However, I do like this game overall because the style of the graphics is very unique and worth looking. It feels like I am really in China. Of course, I have to tell everyone that now Shanghai is far more beautiful than it looks in the game, the scene is actually more like old Shanghai or other old Chinese cities, but it does remind me of my childhood in China (except the violent part, because my hometown is very peaceful).

NBA Live 084
Mar 8, 2013
I used to be a huge fan of NBA Live series, especially NBA Live 06. From 07, EA Sports seems to take experiments. 07 seems very slippery and full of flaws, but at least there is one feature I like a separate button for dunk. In 08, most good features are overthrown. You can tell that EA Sports is making the game more detailed. But I think they fail. Ok, NBA Live is dead since NBA Live 10. I haven't played any NBA games in 3 years, maybe I should try the 2K13 to pick up my desire to control an entire basketball team.

Battlefield: Bad Company 29
Mar 8, 2013
Despite the non exciting single player plot, this game is very attractive. It has very realistic graphics (especially the light), very challenging but interesting style of shooting, and very magnificent destruction system which allows the player to destroy any buildings. Although the story of the campaign is not fully satisfying, the scene is terrifically designed, it is just unforgettable. The best part of this game is multi-player. The perspective and the view is wonderful, the atmosphere is tense, but still enjoyable. I think the online experience is much better than Battlefield 3, although the latter is also very amazing. Bad Company 2 is the peak of FPS in 2010, even today it is still unbeatable, and at some point, it is even better than Battlefield 3.

It is beautiful and enjoyable to play. The puzzles are interesting, and some are pretty challenging, but not annoying. But the gaming experience is not very consistent some designs are not very friendly, and could be improved. The biggest flaw is the length. I think most people can finish it in 5 hours. With the inconsistent experience and very short play through, the price of $10 is pretty-overpriced. Fortunately, steam frequently offers very greatly deals of indie games, and you can get it at less than $3, which I think is very worthy.

DiRT 210

I first played it on PC (steam version) for more than 20 hours, and recently I got this Xbox 360 version. It is amazing that it is still a very good looking game on Xbox 360 console, very comparable to the graphics of PC version (mid to low setting of course, not comparable to high settings). The control is also very comfortble, and I think it is set differently from PC version. Because PC version also requires Game for Windows Live account to play, I actually use the same account for both PC and Xbox 360 version.

It is a really amazing game. It is released in 2009, but is better looking than most racing games released recently (I mean after 2011). As a kind of simulating game, it is hard to master the control, but you can feel the excitement even though you can't play really well, and once you really master and beat your opponent, you are like the happiest man on earth ^_^ To some extent, it is more exciting than those pursuiting racing games. The reward and career system is also very fascinating. To earn more money, you need to get better result in the race, and eventually unlock many new events. There is multi-player mode, but very few people are playing online, so single-player mode is more entertaining if you want to buy it now.

It is a pretty good **** graphics are better than most of the arcade games, and the atmosphere is very well created. Although it is the PC version, I use a XBOX360 controller to play it, and I don't know what it feels like to play it with keyboard, so the control for me is fine. The porting is overall ok, but they should do a better job on this because it doesn't run very smoothly on my poor laptop with GT540M with 1280*720.

Hitman 2: Silent Assassin10
Mar 3, 2013
This is the first hitman game I have ever played. It was in 2006, more than 3 years after it has been released, I still got very addicted. Later, I play every hitman games, and even pre-purchased absolution, and I must say that "hitman 2: Silent Assassin" is the most revolutionary, the most intense, deepest, and thus the most successful game of the series. It corrects most of the mistakes that the first hitman "codename 47" has, and adds a lot of successful features such as the diversity approach to complete the mission, the alert system that enalbes the enemy to notice you even after you change your cloth(in hitman: codename 47 as long as you change the cloth, you wouldn't be noticed by enemy), and these features shine through hitman 3 "contracts" and 4 "blood money". Therefore, this game is also the foundation of successful the sequels, especially blood money. Plus, the visual effect is amazing back in 2002, and the music delivers more richer atmosphere to the game that it really makes the play get into the game, get into the world of 47. Unfortunately, absolution somehow throws out some very essential features. I hope IO and its new parent company Square Enix would fix it and combine the best of old hitman(1-4) and absolution to make the 6th hitman game much better!

I bought 2 copies, 1 on origin, the other on steam. It is an amazing game even I played it after it being released 4 years. The environment is very well created, especially the plants are almost real, the map is sandbox, in which I play run back and fourth without getting boring. The story and the atmosphere is breath-taking that I can feel the wild survival mood and get addicted to it to play it 4 or 5 hours a day. The nanosuit enables the plays to have many alternative ways to complete the mission, if you don't want to have a fight, just switch to cloak mode to sneak, or if you are tired of repetitive shooting, just switch to power mode to beat enemies with your bare hands. If I have to name the cons, it is not optimized well that no PC can run it on maximum settings when the game is released, and my laptop which was bought in 2011 can't do it either. But anyway, it is an amazing game.

BioShock10

It is a beautiful but strange world. Fascinating environment that is eerie, elegant music that is mysterious, lovely children that is under external control, dramatic plot and touching ending depict a unprecedented world in the game of bioshock. Maybe, this is the most artistic violent game, almost all would be "shocked" after finishing this game. Maybe, this is the game with the deepest content. 9.7/10 from IGN really says it all.(My rating: 10/10 absolutely)

Saints Row 28
Dec 4, 2012
It is hard to rate this game since it is more console oriented, and the PC version is very poorly optimized. The graphics is kind of average and the frame rate is very low and very inconsistent. However, the game itself is really fun. The mission is very exciting, the story is very well delivered, the city is designed beautifully and it feels that I am the owner of the city, and I can't live without being in that city. To some extend, it is much better than Saints Row the Third.

I purchase 1 and 2 together, and I run 1 first. However, it can't even display anything on my screen. Then I play left 4 dead 2, and there is very little fun, so I decided to delete both of left 4 dead 1 and **** I regret my purchase...

Left 4 Dead 21

This is the most disappointing purchase I have ever made. Firstly, this game is produced in 2009, but the graphic is like before 2005. And with such bad graphic, it runs with 40% less average fps than dead space one in the same setting on my computer. Secondly, the movement is very slippery, and shooting is very uncomfortable either. I always feel that I am playing a skiing simulation game, not a shooting game at all! Although it is a little bit fun to play with 3 other players on line, the overall presentation is too poor to match the score of 89/100. Originally, I want to give it 2 or 3 out of 10, but when I see the score is 89, I was shocked, so I decided to warn people to make the purchase carefully by give it 1 out of 10.

Dead Space (2008)10
Feb 29, 2012
Although every chapter of this game makes me exhausted, I think it is one of the best games I've ever played. The selling point of this game is neither horror nor disgusting, but the combination of these two plus a very challenging style of gameplay makes dead space really a game that can really catch every nerves of the player. Sometimes, many necromorphs (your enemies in the game) suddenly come in your face when you just about to relax, and the producers really know how to make the players '**** there are many technical object for you to complete, and some of them require you to work under zero gravity, where you even have to walk on the roof, and necromorphs may appears right in front of you, which really challenge your sense of dimension. Even in easy mode, the game is hard to play, thus makes me even more nervous when facing the necromorphs. The overall mood of the game is not too depressed, but there are so many things can scare you, and keep you nervous for every single second. The bonus is that you could even be more satisfied with your real life after playing this game, the reason is obvious. However, I don't recommend teens play this game, because it is too bloody and scary.
