After watching Iron Pineapple's video on this, I felt compelled to give this game a fair rating, at least in my eyes. This is a buggy, poorly written, and just bad game. It doesn't deserve a 9/10 or for God's sake 10/10 o.O What the **** are these reviewers smoking?

Rating: 8/10 Elden Ring is an awesome game and has really polished what the Soulsborne games have offered to players, a difficult adventure, with less handholding than most games, a solid combat system, and a promise that you can beat the challenge if you practice. I thoroughly enjoyed this game, from the more fleshed out story with cinematics and more NPC dialogue than I remember in Dark Souls 1 & 2 (the Souls games I have played) and the more user friendly design explaining various gameplay mechanics to players and the freedom of the open world to level up & come back to challenges later. I didn't love some of the enemies and thought some were pretty annoying, like the big dogs, big crows, the enemies with a bunch of arms, and some others. In general though, the game had a decent variety of enemies though I feel like Dark Souls 1 especially had more variety and more interesting enemies. Fighting the 6th dragon of a different element was a little boring at one point. The standout bosses for me, like Malenia, Dragonlord Placidusax, Radagon, and Morgott were pretty freaking fun. Using the Mimic Tear summon was my clutch to not bang my head against Malenia & Lord Mohg after 20 tries and I still had fun using it, as a last resort. I didn't really love one mechanic that got me killed a lot, the long amount of time you are on the ground after getting knocked off your horse. That enemies can hit you during the beginning parts of the long animation was cheap I felt and I thought the knockdown duration should be the same as not being on your horse. Just a personal frustration. I thought the music wasn't as good as Dark Souls 1 & 3 and I couldn't really remember any theme after trying to think of one. The art style though is great and the graphics are amazing. Just looking up at the Erdtree and admiring it's grandeur always put a smirk on my face :D I love that physical & magic combat is so well mixed in Elden Ring compared to all other Soulsborne games. That you can use infusions & whetblades to give your weapons scaling with Intelligence & Faith opens up so many options for combat, I thought it was brilliant! Lastly, the open world was fun for the most part but did seem a bit empty near the end, with little reason for me to explore once I got my best weapons fully upgraded & was above Level 140. I explored pretty much everywhere just to see, but I think the developers had a hard time putting valuable rewards for exploration at a certain point, when I kept finding the highest level smithing stones when I already had 5 of each type (normal & somber). The areas stayed engaging for the most part & very pretty to wonder through, but I wish the enemy variety stayed evolving to discover new enemies & some story or lore rewards were given in the late game for exploration. Overall, this feels like the most polished version of Soulsborne to introduce to new players of this series of games. I highly recommend trying the game and enjoying the combat experience & world.

Very good game! Incredible story as a sequel to the books & Witcher 1, especially as a setup to the final chapter of the Witcher games with Witcher 3. The combat was soooooooooo much better than Witcher 1 and was enjoyable :) Could be better but still was challenging and deep enough to allow for improvement & strategies in combat. The graphics are incredible for a 2011 game, probably the best of any game around that time. I highly recommend the game to anyone who is a fan of fantasy games/genre and of action RPG's.

Pretty good game! A definitely stronger game if you have read all the books and are invested in where the story continues after the books end. The gameplay is definitely dated, but better than KOTOR 1 & 2 which this games feels like a lot. The dialogue is pretty good sometimes, though sometimes quite janky and fairly empty. Overall, I'd recommend it mainly to those willing to play Witcher 2 & 3 as well, as this game doesn't merit playing just alone.

An amazing game :O This was a unique experience for me, I had never played a game like this! A great exploration & resource management game. And the survival elements were not annoying to me, and generated tension & necessary planning in the early & mid-game. The story was surprising!! I didn't expect it and had not read anything about it, thankfully. I was pleasantly surprised how far it went and how much I still had to discover after 50 hours and thinking the game may end soon. I highly recommend this game to anyone who can overcome their fear :) I was scared at the beginning to built my courage, and you can to! Good luck!!

This is a wonderful revitalization of Diablo 2, a classic action RPG :) I've thoroughly enjoyed playing through the game once-through, as a Blizzball Sorceress, doing Offline self-found. I think most of the bad reviews are from people have a poor experience with Blizzard's servers crashing, not being able to connect in the first place, and on consoles tons of missing features such as sorting through games/creating games. I totally understand those bad reviews and I feel Diablo 2 Resurrected is best played Offline Solo and the renewed graphics and content/bug fixes really shine there, imo. I highly recommend this game to new & old players and encourage people to play Offline and research the game online to understand the many game mechanics. Once you get into the game, it's a great adventure :)

What an awesome game. I've only played one other rogue-like (or rogue-lite), The Binding of Isaac. I feel the RPG elements of Hades, the atmosphere, and slow introduction to concepts helped me stick to Hades more than Binding. I am loving the action-focused gameplay and the storyline most of all. The visual style and music take it over the top. I really appreciate how balanced the game is as well, as all weapons can work and the variety of boons make each run feel unique. Beat Hades on my 10th run, surprisingly, though I did watch a lot of Haelian and Jawless Paul's guides to get a better idea of how to play the game. Try this game out when it's on sale! One of the best games I have played.

Possibly my favorite game of all time. A great RPG with amazing combat, character growth, and very friendly community. This is the only game I play nowadays and it fulfills all my desires for a video game: to play with others or on my own, to feel like I'm progressing and becoming more skilled at the game, and to learn **** story and world within an extremely beautiful game.

No Capture the Flag mode by default :( Only with paid DLC can you get Capture the Flag, and this is the most fun mode in my opinion. Good game, taxing on computer so is a little laggy. In general, hard game I die quite a bit. Hard to get into on multiplayer, bleh will move to Guild Wars 2
