One of the best stories ever made and one that everyone should experience. It has some of the best twist and turns and some moments filled with emotional gut punches. It truly is a a one of a kind story made through purse passion on behalf of the devs.

Yep, I agree with the other mixed reviews. It's got a lot of very redeeming qualities and is overall an impressive work, but after 12 hours I had to just accept that I wasn't actually having any fun playing it.

Barely playable on release. Xbox Series X and PC versions were patched immediately, whereas over a month later, Bethesda and Virtuos have been silent about any progress towards patching the PS5 version. Because of the sentimental value of the original, it makes me very sad to see that this remaster has been treated so disrespectfully -- towards the game itself and especially its players.

My all time favorite game, oh what joy and goodness. The world building, art direction, etc. The later TES installments are beautiful in their own way, but compared with its descendants, Morrowind has an extraordinary level of depth and refinement, leading to a much more immersive and moving experience.

Despite the positive qualities others have mentioned, the combat system ruined this game for me. The efforts toward making it realistic are all fine by me, and fun to deal with. The problem is that enemies get an unbelievably long period of invincibility when you attack them by surprise. This leads to enemies sitting and watching as you swing at them point blank and somehow hit nothing but air, until after a few seconds when they sort of "enter" combat mode and your hits finally connect. I can't understand why this mechanic would exist, and for me, it totally ruined the realism of the game and, along with other clunky aspects of combat already mentioned by other users, made the game feel like torture to me.

So beautiful and touching. There were many moments during which I had to close my eyes to savor the effect this game had on me. While playing through it, I could feel it changing my life in a beautiful way, and opening me up to a new worldview. The soundtrack has stuck with me for years. It has easily the most sincere, candid, and belly-laugh-inducing writing in a game I've ever experienced. It's also fun and runs well, and of course, the unique art direction.
