I loved the original modern warfare game for myriad reasons, but have not enjoyed this series as much since COD:MW2 or Black Ops. The series has always blown me away in terms of graphics, replay value, and the quality of the voice acting. What I cannot stand about this series is the lack of regulation for players who cheat on the multiplayer. I experienced this the most of Black Ops and I could also tell people were using mod switches. While this is a huge detriment to my multiplayer enjoyment, I do not fault Activision, but the players themselves. Conversely, I also see this as a sign of the game's popularity. I also wish I could control the vehicles when they are earned. I'm not a huge fan of the perk system as it limits the ability of newer players to use vehicles. Playing this game with other people is the key to having fun with it. I love playing this game more than any other when I have a full squad, who can play together, as opposed to other games in the FPS genre. This game really shouldn't be considered part of that genre since the gameplay is so different. While I view the COD series as Jerry Bruckheimer's version of war, I would view this one as way more realistic. My favorite memory of this game was when a buddy of mine and I were playing it. We were sprinting over open ground toward cover while being shot at by the enemy. We made it to the grove of trees when all of the sudden, an RPG round hit a tree right beside him. The resulting explosion dismembered his body completely, and knocked me to the ground bleeding out. It was one of the most intense gameplay moments I have ever experienced. Operation Flashpoint games will deliver this every time you play. This game is probably the best FPS game I have ever played on the Xbox360. I thoroughly enjoy the balance of the game compared to other games in the FPS genre. I like how most buildings can be completely demolished, and how you can change the tide of the battle with a single vehicle. Pros: Graphics, sound, replay value, squad system, controls, use of multiple vehicles (Sea, Land, Air), unlockable items, Cons: Cursing players (I have kids, so I have to play the game late at night), no fixed-wing aircraft

I love this game! It takes me back to the days when I used to play it on the Arcade, and the graphics and gameplay are a sight to behold. I love the responsiveness of the game, and how it is not entirely combo related like MK: Deadly Alliance. I was never good at performing long combo strings, so it was refreshing to see this. I also enjoy the many game modes offered to keep the experience fresh. Pros: Graphics, gameplay, storyline, replay value Cons: cheesy voiceovers (however, the game itself seems to be a great example of hyperbole anyway)

Overall, a phenomenal game. I was hoping for a 1940s version of GTA IV, but am starting to really get into this one. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is responsive. My wife even enjoys watching me solve the cases as we play through the game. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants a single player break from the FPS genre. Pros: Gameplay, graphics, facial technology, storyline Cons: The game takes a while to get into. The cases sort of resemble each other for a while and can get monotonous.
