Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi9
Dec 15, 2017
For real look at this user score. This is the problem today in movies. People beg for originality and creativity and when they get it, guess what? They hate it or spit on it. This is the reason why we don't get original ideas/concepts. Alright onto the film. First of all the actors and performances were all incredible, but Mark Hamill steals every single shot when he is in frame. Also Daisy and Adam are incredible. They better be right? They are the lead roles after all, but well done. The movie looked incredible down to every detail in design, costumes and CGI, and you can not forget about the creature models/designs. Some of the best creatures I've seen in a movie in a while. The story I felt was really engaging and felt more complete this time. It felt more of a fantasy and oddly enough a thriller at least to me. It has all the Star Wars fighting, lasers and Stormtroopers dying, along side some really awesome 1 on 1 fights and some surprises I did not see coming sprinkled in. Overall if you are a fan of Rian's work or just love Star Wars see it in theaters, and actually give originality and creativity a chance it might actually shock you.

Great movie! Had a blast watching this one. The movie was extremely enjoyable from beginning to end and was absolutely hilarious at moments. I love it took the more smaller subtle comedy parts rather than the all out huge lough out loud moments. Channing Tatum, Adam Driver and Daniel Craig all give great performances, but the stand out Daniel Craig. He had me laughing from beginning to end along side Adam Driver who also had great comedic timing. The story was fun, but wasn't necessarily amazing. I felt the chemistry is what makes the movie so enjoyable and hilarious and some memorable scenes.

Incredible! One of the best movies I've ever seen. The movie has fantastic animation, and the characters are so captivating and the story is out of this world. The movie tugs on your heartstrings and chooses great moments for you to laugh and to cry. It is an emotional roller coaster and fantastic music to go along with it. A must watch for any movie fan.

A Silent Voice9
Nov 13, 2017
Great movie! I really haven't seen any anime movies, but I've recently started getting into anime and I wanted to give this one a chance. Wow! What an emotional roller coaster. The movie was pretty brutal at some points with its subject material and doesn't hold punches. The movie was told beautifully with a great amount of unique characters and a great message that no matter what you have done in your life, if you want to and willing you can change for the better and I think it really captures that really well. The movie will stick with you long after the credits role. Recommend it!

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets5
Nov 4, 2017
Had high hopes for this one and it disappointed. The visuals and locations are pretty darn awesome and for the most part the action set pieces are good. The movie lacks with very poor dialogue and a weak script with eye rolling jokes and pretty bland leads. The story was okay but didn't capitalized on how good it could of been.

Thor: Ragnarok9
Nov 3, 2017
What a blast! The movie was extremely exciting and all around a great time. The movie is colorful and full of life with all the environments and locations. The action set pieces are some of the best in Marvel movies to date and sets a new standard for Marvel movies. The acting was super as always and chemistry with everyone involved. The movie was one of the funniest marvel movies and they just know how to keep making us laugh with over the top comedic scenes. One of the best marvel films to date!

Oct 25, 2017
Fun and different. Aubrey Plaza gives a great performance and she really sells that weird stalker she was going for. The movie also has some laughs and some genuine heart felt moments. This movie is all about some Instagram and maybe it relies a little too much on it.

Happy Death Day6
Oct 23, 2017
Surprisingly good. Even though it is a horror Groundhog Day like Groundhog Day it takes a lot of the crazy scenarios and make comedy out of it, and they actually make a reference to it too, which was great. The acting overall is really good and the movie is actually really enjoyable. Yes there are the horror trope cliches and that’s fine, but with so many bad horror films now this year has given it a fresh breath of air into the genre.

Not bad, had some good moments in it. This was a raunchy film. Everyone gives a fun performance and you can tell everyone is having fun. It’s a real funny movie too and everyone should get a kick out of it.

American Made8
Oct 14, 2017
Fun movie. Tom Cruise gives his best performance in years. Also Domhnall Gleason gives a great performance too. The movie is high octane and incredibly fast pace. I love the way the story was told and it has a great charm to it. The Doug Limen and Tom Cruise collaboration works again and hopefully many more to come.

Blade Runner 204910
Oct 12, 2017
Great film. Everyone gives a great performance and the visuals are incredible. This is a movie that is a must watch in the theaters. But unfortunately no one is watching it. Which is a little surprising for how big the original film was. The film does a very good Job by laying out it?s story. A lot of the great twist and turns to drive story forward as well. This will appeal to any sci-fi fan or anyone who love the original. It does a great job by building off the original film rather than going off the beaten path and doing something that is too far fetched. The score also is incredible and it gives a great tone to the film. I believe this will be nominated for best visuals, best score, and best picture of the year. Go watch the movie its worth every 2 hours and 44 minutes.

I'm a fan of Darren Aronofsky's work with Black Swan and Requiem for a Dream, but nothing will be able to prepare you for what Mother! has in store. The movie is incredibly well acted by Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence and they have great chemistry. The movie is pretty much a metaphor of the bible from every single scene to every single character. The amount of detail Aronofsky put into this movie is astounding and he should be applauded for it. I can also see people not really understanding the movie and not liking it, but as for me I did and I think people should give it a watch and let yourself decide. This movie will be talked and analyzed for a while and rightfully so. I thought the movie was great and I'm excited to see it again to maybe catch something I didn't the first time.

Really good movie. Jeremy Reener and Elizabeth Olsen both carry this movie and do excellent jobs. The movie is clearly a mystery thriller and it is done right. You are on the edge of your seat just waiting and wondering to yourself whats going to happen. It's also a very good looking movie and I had a blast watching it. This one could clip under the rug for many people and it shouldn't.

A Ghost Story9
Sep 26, 2017
This is a very sad, complex, and though provoking movie. A love movie with the questions Why do we exist? What is the meaning of life? And the whole time travel part of the film. The performances by Rooney Mara and Casey Affleck are great and really hold the film up

Incredible film. A horror movie that finally lives up to the hype. I was a little skeptical from the trailers but after watching the Georgie clip I was in. The acting was incredible especially Pennywise and he clearly drew inspiration from Ledger's joker. The kids also did great. Every kid actor has there moments and all had awesome interesting things about them that made them relevant in the film. The movie is absolutely hilarious too. Go and see the movie you will not be disappointed. I also dug the time period during 1989. Great time to put a horror movie.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jon Bernthal star in this new thriller crime movie. With all the trailers I was actually stoked to watch this. Being a huge Game of Thrones fan and for it just looking cool. But does it actually deliver? Short answer yes. I did feel it did a good enough job showing the horrors inside prison can be. It was very interesting seeing a family man in the beginning transform into this criminal, and that's where I think the movie shines. The movie does start off with him being out and keeping cutting back to his time in jail. For the most part it was utilized fine, but in the beginning it makes absolute no sense whats going on since you are being thrown right away in the middle of the movie. But as the movie starts to unfold it becomes clearer and clearer. I just wish it was easier to follow in the first 20 minutes. The acting was incredibly strong from everyone and most definitely Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. I did think the first 30 minutes could of been improved and handled better, but the last hour and 30 was entertaining, which means the film could of been cut down by 20 minutes. Overall I think most people will find this enjoyable and entertaining.

Awesome movie. Hilarious movie and a lot of serious parts mixed in beautifully. The acting was incredible and I busted out laughing multiple times. One of the better comedies I've seen in recent memory and definitely one of if not the best one of year.

It Comes at Night9
Aug 30, 2017
Wow a divisive movie for sure. Critics love it and audiences not so much. I think most audience people don't like the movie because it doesn't really answer any questions the film sets up and that's completely understandable. Also I can see the directors point of view by letting the audience know just as much as the characters do. The movie is a thought provoking one and one that deserves to be analyzed and talk about. The acting is incredible and Joel Edgerton is clearly the star here. The movie is not for everyone and if people watch it for a horror film I think they will be disappointed but if you go in with an open mind and want to analyze and to think about a film I think this is the one for you. For me I really loved it and I think it's easily one of the best of the year.

Death Note1
Aug 25, 2017
What trash. Being a big fan of the anime I was skeptical of the film to begin with but was willing to give the movie a chance. First of all why in the hell is the movie in Seattle? The characters are nothing alike the anime and there personalities are all wrong and of course the white washing and L being black. I only got 45 minutes in and that's because my brother was with me and I saw enough to know. The acting is complete trash. Willem Dafoe is good as Ryuk as it's only bright spot. This movie is almost unwatchable . It seemed like they watched a 5 minute analysis video and made the movie.

Annabelle: Creation7
Aug 11, 2017
Pretty good movie. Which is a lot more than what you can say with most horror movies. David Sandberg has came in and made a lot better than the previous one. It had a lot of great moments and some genuinely creepy moments. Lulu Wilson once again does great like the Ouija 2 movie. Go see it. It's rare to see good horror films anymore.

Atomic Blonde6
Aug 4, 2017
It's fine. The performances by Charlize Theron, James McAvoy and Sofia Boutella all do great jobs. The action scenes were very fun and exciting. The plot on the other hand is messy and confusing. There are so many plot holes and twists and turns, and ultimately predictable. The music in the movie is a little odd, and at some points distracts you and not in a good way. David Leitch first film John Wick is definitely a better movie, but this one is still serviceable. Most people will enjoy it. 70/100

The Devil's Candy8
Aug 3, 2017
Really good movie. The acting in this is superb and the tension is fantastic. The story is very interesting and what a creepy and realistic take on Satan and how he can slither himself into peoples lives if they open up to it. If you are a horror fan watch it. Even if you aren't necessarily into horror like me you still may enjoy it.

The Mummy5
Jul 30, 2017
I thought there were some good moments in this movie. The movie had some intense scenes and was enjoyable at parts. The movie also had some cringe worthy moments too. Tom Cruise does a fine job, but once again he is playing Tom Cruise in this movie. Also Russell Crowe plays a small part but a surprising role, which I had no idea of. Now Jake Johnson's character never should of been in the movie and is not a good addition to it. The mummy played by Sofia Boutella is clearly the stand out here. She is very good and gives a lot of tension to the movie. She seems to be really good in everything she plays and is becoming quite a star at least in my eyes. I do feel if this movie wasn't called the mummy it would have been reviewed a little better. The movie wasn't as bad as some reviews and I think people should give it a watch.

Dunkirk9
Jul 24, 2017
Another great movie by Christopher Nolan. Pretty much now going into all his movies all you gotta think is it gonna be a 9 or a 10. He's pretty much that good. I think this movie is one of his bests. I was a little confused about the run time when I first saw it (106 minutes) being this is a huge historical event, but now I understand. The entire movie from the opening shot is no stop action and the movie focuses more on the actual event than the build up and huge speeches from brave men. The movie was very enjoyable and its loud and thrilling as well. The score is superb and Hans Zimmer and Nolan always seem to work beautifully with each other. The dog fights are intense and it's no Hollywood dogfights with loud explosions and blaring gunfire no its real gritty realistic action. The movie doesn't have a lot of dialogue, but that is to be expected. During an event like this you aren't gonna be sitting around chatting about every day things, your gonna be frighten, scared and shocked of the situation. The one thing about the movie that does lack is the character development, which there is practically none. I understand though because like I said it's more about the event and not the build up. There are just brave men stuck in a bad situation. All in all Nolan gives us another great movie that everyone should see ion the big screen.

The Promise6
Jul 16, 2017
Decent film. Another fantastic performance by Oscar Isaac. He always seems to get overlooked when the Oscars come around. He is one of the best actors working today. Onto the movie. I felt the movie was enjoyable and a story that was need to be told on the big screen. I didn't mind the love story, but I felt like it focused more on that than the terrible genocide that happened. All in all I feel like most of the negative scores are just because of the subject its on.

War for the Planet of the Apes9
Jul 14, 2017
Great movie. What a great way to end the series. The movie was extremely intense and once again Andy Serkis does a phenomenal job as Caesar. But Bad Ape is the one who steals every scene he's in. His comedic presence was needed in a very dark and dramatic movie. The action was superb and fun. The movie starts on a high note and never lets go. I think this movie did too the previous one as a story and drama movie. I really liked that they focused more on the Apes this time because that's what they needed to do. It seems like Matt Reeves took every negative from Dawn even though there were many and improved upon all of them.
Jul 10, 2017
Spider-Man: Homecoming8
Jul 10, 2017
The best Spider-Man since Spider-Man 2. That isn't really saying much since everyone one after 2 was either bad or average. Still a solid fun and entertaining movie. Tom Holland does great and I feel like they finally got Spider-Man right. The originals were great but they never had comedy which that is what Spider-Man is. The action scenes were great and very fun. Michael Keaton finally along with Jeff Bridges finally gives some kind of villain in the marvel films. That's until Josh Brolin's Thanos becomes relevant. I like that the film is mostly school and it shows Peter is just an average person like everyone. Now I think smaller kids will be turned off by this. They will probably be bored. As for the rest of us I think it brings a nice pace and realism to Spider-Man. I do think some things could of been handled better like the bigger set pieces. It felt like no one and nothing was really in actual harm, but overall I did like it and recommend everyone to see it.

Baby Driver10
Jun 28, 2017
Another classic by Edgar Wright. The movie has a lot of style. I really like the music and it has a lot to do with the movie and plays an essential role. The movie was very funny and very well shot. Everyone from Jamie Foxx, Lily James, Ansel Elgort, Joh Hamm and Kevin Spacey all give fantastic performances and all give there characters very different personalities. The races are thrilling, electric and very fast. I feel this movie will appeal to everyone and everyone should go see it in theaters. Another best picture nominee for me this year. This will become a classic 20 years from now. I feel like there have been many great films this year so far like The Lost City of Z, Wonder Woman and Get Out but none are on this level. This stands up there with La La Land with one of the best films of the last 10 years.

The Lost City of Z9
Jun 27, 2017
A movie that I had to wait for months to see since our theater didn't show it and does it deliver. This movie was extremely engaging and exciting from start to beginning. The acting from Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson was mesmerizing. The movie also looks fantastic and it reminds me of classic films like Indiana Jones. I can understand why people are split on this, but I have to say this is a Best Picture nominee from me already.
Jun 24, 2017
King Arthur: Legend of the Sword5
Jun 24, 2017
A retelling of the classic story of The Sword in the Stone ends up being a decent film even if it isn't a King Arthur film. Guy Ritchie shows again that's he's more style over substance. His films always look cool, but never really tell a coherent plot. Charlie Hunman does an admirable job and he does give the film some type of character development. Jude Law was actually pretty good not to say he isn't a good actor because he is . It just most of the time these fantasy villains come off being annoying and yelling all the time demanding attention and power. I also chuckled seeing Aidan Gillen and Michael McElhatton in the film being a huge Game of Thrones fan. I can't say I wasn't entertained because I was, but when it comes to a film it lacks and I can see why this movie flopped.
Jun 23, 2017
The Bad Batch7
Jun 23, 2017
Good film I can see this movie being split down the middle on opinions of the film. But I found this movie really entertaining, gritty and interesting. Jason Mamoa and Suki Waterhouse both give good performances and give there characters personalities. I can feel this movie being appreciated later on and not right now.

Transformers: The Last Knight4
Jun 21, 2017
The fifth Transformers film by Michael Bay is actually not a total disaster to my surprise. Yes there are the expected explosions, slow-mo and the hot woman running while you see some of her cleavage. The movie also has some interesting ideas finally, but is ultimately squashed by the uninspired script and dull dialogue. There are some cringe moments as to be expected especially coming from a scientist and the idiotic perverted humor. Some of the action scenes I felt were the best part of the movie along with Anthony Hopkins. The movie doesn't explore much with the Knights of the Round table unfortunately too, and it is the shortest film which is a good thing cause watching these movies just drain me. Overall not the worst Transformers with some interesting ideas and concepts, but is met with an uninspired plot and dull dialogue that brings it down.

Baywatch4
Jun 16, 2017
After seeing the trailer you knew what you were getting yourself into. The movie had some funny moments, but at least the film knows what it is. It knows it's a stupid cheesy movie, and it succeeds in that front. Everyone did there job fine. The movie is also extremely cliched and you see everything coming from a mile away, but I didn't mind. If you want a stupid action movie where you won't have to think much give it a watch.
Jun 8, 2017
Wonder Woman8
Jun 8, 2017
Wow! I'm kinda speechless and shocked right now. I knew the movie was gonna be good when it started getting great reviews from everyone, but I didn't expect this. Gal Gadot perfectly embodies Wonder Woman to a tee. She is so charismatic in this film and brings so much more to the character and the film. How can I forget about the wonderful chemistry between her and Chris Pine. Chris was perfectly cast and there dialogue between each other is so smooth and extremely funny/ meaningful. And Chris was extremely funny as well, hitting all the right moments. I absolutely loved the action scenes and you can definitely see it did have a little bit of Zack Snyder's slow mo-speed up action which I actually really enjoyed in this one, and was utilized very well. Every act progressively got better and better too, but I have to have some type of negative in this and it comes in the third act. The fight scene was really awesome, but I do think it relied a little too bit on CGI, which I was okay with, but was noticeable. i have not been this blown away by a DC movie since The Dark Knight in 2008, and i'm gonna say it this is the best DC movie since The Dark Knight in '08. This is a step in the right direction after the massive disappointments of Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman. I hope this can get DC back in the race with Marvel before it's too late.

Colossal7
Jun 3, 2017
What an original movie idea. I think the movie industry is dying because no one is taking creative risks anymore and boy did this one. I thought the movie was surprisingly funny with its very black humor and well acted. The movies concept and idea is pretty bizarre but I had a fun time with it. People should give this one a try but I feel like it's not for everyone.

Berlin Syndrome6
Jun 1, 2017
Entertaining film. It's in the middle of abduction films. It starts off pretty good and the middle it drags just a bit and in my opinion an underwhelming ending/finale. Teresa Palmer gives a strong performance and gives the movie some good suspense at moments.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales5
May 31, 2017
Well the movie wasn't a huge disappointment, but not a good one. Honestly it was a bit boring until the hour mark. But then it did pick up. It seems like Johnny is now just playing a character of a character. The best part of the film character wise was Javier's character Captain Salazar who wasn't a utter travesty like Blackbeard in the last one. The action was fine except for that opening bank robbery scene which was so ridiculous and dialogue was okay but the whole witch thing did get annoying after a **** does tie up some loose ends and answer some questions which I was happy with. But the final 25 minutes ultimately saves the movie from being a snooze fest. This us suppose to be the ending of the whole series, but I can definitely see them continuing this to milk more money. If you seen the others I guess watch it, but if you haven't don't bother. Watch the first one and be done with it.

Kung Fu Panda 36
May 19, 2017
Great animation. Jack Black really brings Po to life, and Bryan Cranston as Li. Hilarious at points and great voice acting. Interesting story, but it is a bit generic. That doesn't takeaway the fact that it's still a great film.

Jane Got a Gun4
May 19, 2017
The movie had a lot of trouble being made from changing multiple directors, delays, and shifting around roles. Which becomes apparent throughout the movie. All the actors do a very good job to keep the movie relevant though. Even with good performances the movie never able to overcome its troubled past.
