American Made is a smart, nervy film, a very modern entertainment made with energy, style and a fine sense of humor that keeps us amused until gradually, almost imperceptibly, the laughter starts to stick in our throats.

The screenplay is quirky enough to resemble an unfinished Coen Brothers narrative but mainstream enough to appeal to a broad audience.

Super entertaining, great set up. I don't care if it was not 100 true to facts, Hollywood has to add a twist and what eve they added on this **** worked for me. Story line is exciting and to know any of this was close to being true , made it even more enjoyable. A must see, very entertaining.

Following the success of Edge of Tomorrow, Tom Cruise is at his best! Loved his performance in this film, what a big comeback for Tom Cruise! This is a must see film! Better than The Mummy, Best Tom Cruise film since Edge of Tomorrow and Collateral! Cruise and Liman are perfect duo! Loved the casting, plot

The film has just about enough going on around its anti-hero to sustain the interest and land its punchline, and there are signs Liman (a Cruise veteran since “Edge of Tomorrow”) is solving the enduring problem of making a Cruise film that’s not wholly about its leading man.

There’s no shortage of “Goodfellas” wannabes out there, but American Made is a serviceably entertaining one with consistent action and hearty chuckles along the way.

American Made is one of the many children of “Goodfellas,” a true-crime story turned first-person narrative told by a charismatic ne’er-do-well surrounded by dubious characters and tantalizing subplots. None of these offspring, including American Made, have matched the chilling grandeur of Martin Scorsese’s 1990 masterpiece, with its multifaceted characters and visual fluidity.

Cruise gives his energetic all to the role, but he, too, doesn’t seem to be quite aware that Seal was morally compromised far beyond the shallow confines of this film.

Even while we’re watching it, a funny feeling sets in. Lots of things happen in American Made, but it’s as if the frenetic pace is to keep us from thinking about what we’re watching.

I struggle to feel sorry for most any character played by Tom Cruise. This is another film in which he plays an extroverted, show off type and in that sense it didn't appeal to me. The fact its based on a real person/true story did make me more intrigued to see it and there are some decent chase scenes and cinematography. I wouldn't say its entirely engrossing throughtout but as a semi-basic escapist action film, its alright. I think thats about all I can say for it.

To be honest, i expected more. The movie had a good idea going on, but it didnt show it well. It seemed cheap and overall mediocre. Tom cruise was not bad, but not excellent either. Overall the movie was average.

Liberal revisionist history hidden in an entertaining and well acted plot. Too bad it was another example of fake news that a new generation will not learn the truth.
