The game surely looks good, that's for sure. Each map is full of tiles where your figurines fight it out against a number of (Norse) enemies. And the game allows you to control a maximum of 7 figurines (3 on every level) in a viking inspired world. It mixes reality with myth from Norse legend. Its a decent concept considering there are better viking games around (Ancestors?). You can equip you warriors with a number of weapons or tokens which enhance their abilities. The game rewards progress. You get better weapons and cards as you advance. The soundtrack is good too and makes you feel like a Viking. What makes the fun limited is that the figurines do not level up and the focus is on the use of buff giving cards in each level. Each level has 3 tiers of difficulty and you are playing the same map over and over again, albeit with altered enemies and increasing difficulty. There is no proper story-line either and there is no difficulty setting except the 3 tiers on each map. It is also a strategy game but does not feel like one because there is little strategic thinking involved. its a decent effort, but not one of the best games out there. If you like tile, card and figurine based strategy games you will like this game but it does not have many customization options and is lacking in many departments.
