I think a lot of people are way to harsh with this game or are not typical Sims players. I did not go into the game comparing it to Sims 3 and was open minded. I knew what to expect and that it is a game that goes back to the roots of the franchise. The game has a lot of focus on the social interactions of the Sims and it is all about the Sims themselves. The Sims 4 focuses on smaller tight knit communities that allow your Sims to have a thriving social life. There are some downsides to the game such as no toddlers, pools, and terrain tools. However the game runs smooth unlike Sims 3, and I found it to have very addicting gameplay. I don't mind the smaller worlds or the fact there is a loading screen(which is only a few seconds). I think this game is great for what it is and has a good foundation for future updates and expansions.

Everything that was added in this expansion is great. I have no complaints about this pack. It is definitely now one of my favorite expansions for the series. It adds new features such as social groups, a few new careers, an updated smartphone, new items, clothing, hair, and of course the university aspect of the expansion. Not sure why some complain about the price of the expansions and series. There have always been expansion packs for the Sims series ever since the beginning, so when I invest in this series I come to expect all the fees that go along with it. Sims is one of the most pricey series to play if you want all the content. But it is so worth it. The game is huge with all the content and has so much to do.

I just purchased this game over the weekend even though I heard the servers were having trouble. I know they will fix the servers soon so that was not an issue for me since most games have some issues around launch. I have not had any issues with the servers, I was able to play fine last night and today. I am having a great time! This is such a fun game that hours just seemed to fly by without me even realizing it. I let my husband try it on my computer since he was curious about it as well. He didn't expect to play it long and about 3 hours later he was still playing! It has such addicting gameplay that just makes you want to play for hours. Needless to say he purchased a copy shortly after. We are now looking forward to building cities together. Minus the server issues that people seem to be having, Maxis deserves praise for creating such a fun game.
