After reading a few reviews I had high expectations for this game, however I was severely disappointed. There's no real control over the story and having completed the game I was thinking 'What!? That's it!?'. Felt like I'd wasted 6 hours of my life. It reminded me of the types of games that came out when full motion video became possible on computers - substituting style and script for gameplay, which it almost got away with, but ultimately the story wasn't compelling enough.

It's a bit bare bones, and the graphics and sound are way too basic. I would recommend the developer works with a good designer to improve the visuals in particular. The stadium and crowd graphics are cringeworthy! It's more than a bit of a stretch to claim that this is all part of the 'retro revival' theme in this game. Overall though it's a very solid game at its core and is very rewarding after you put the effort in to get over the steep learning curve, and I'm looking forward to playing this again and again as the playability is so high. But please, make it look better. Gameplay isn't *literally* everything.
