Alan Wake 2 somehow manages to take the brilliance of the first game and reverse-engineer it into a TED Talk slide deck about “modern storytelling values.” And yes, I say that as someone who worships Control and Alan Wake 1. The narrative is a snooze-fest wrapped in a mystery wrapped in PowerPoint writing.Saga isn’t a character; she’s a corporate memo with a face. Every line she delivers lands with the emotional weight of a tax form, and the script treats her like the second coming despite giving her the personality depth of a cereal mascot. If you’ve ever wanted to watch world-class supernatural noir collapse under the weight of checkbox writing, congratulations, this is your game. Bright Falls has also been “updated,” which here means sterilized. The eerie, offbeat small town is now a generic, diversity-optimized brochure setting that feels less like Twin Peaks and more like somebody asked Sweet Baby Inc. to design “Pacific Northwest, but with mandatory corporate enthusiasm.” It doesn’t add inclusivity; it subtracts atmosphere. Combat? Oh, that’s another experiment in “how much frustration can one human endure before uninstalling.” Boss fights feel like someone at Remedy yelled, “Make it scary!” and the dev team heard, “Make it unplayable!” Precision? Cohesion? Fun? Optional, apparently. The saddest part is that Remedy used to be one of the few studios with an actual creative, original identity. Now the writing feels curated by committee, gameplay tuned by spreadsheet, and tone approved by consultancy. If this is the new artistic vision, then by all means, continue making games for your focus-grouped target demographic. Alan Wake 2 isn’t just disappointing. It is a masterclass in how to take a unique, unsettling universe and sandblast it into something safe, bland, and corporate-friendly. I'm not going to waste my money and, most importantly, my time on their games. You wanted to hire Sweet Baby Inc? Now go make games for them and their audience. I'll give it a 4 because the visuals are outstanding.
Although it was expected to surpass its predecessor, the game falls short in most areas, especially the storytelling, which is disappointingly weak. The choice of voice actress is horrible. Not recommended. This will be the last game I purchase from **** Punch.
This could have been a really good game. Visually, it looks stunning, but the platforming, level design, and - for some reason - the lack of a map completely ruined the experience for me. If you enjoy occasional combat and running in circles trying to find the place where you need to insert a key-card - a place you no longer remember because you’ve run through twenty nearly identical locations - then you might have a great time. For me, though, it’s wasted potential. Simply adding a map would have made the game much more playable. Without it, the backtracking is frustrating and confusing. I don’t recommend it.
Silent Hill 2 has always been more than a game - it’s a mirror into the depths of human emotion. As a kid, it shaped my understanding of fear and guilt in ways I didn’t fully grasp until much later. The remake delivers a visually breathtaking, emotionally faithful experience - but it’s hampered by a lackluster combat system that leaves parts of the game feeling hollow and **** remake is stunning in its ability to reimagine Silent Hill while respecting the essence of the original. The town feels alive with dread, its decaying buildings, oppressive fog, and hauntingly desolate streets rendered with meticulous attention to detail. Every shadow and sound contributes to the atmosphere of unease, making you feel like the town itself is watching you. The updated graphics also bring the monsters to new levels of grotesque beauty. Iconic enemies like Pyramid Head are more terrifying than ever, their designs steeped in psychological symbolism. Akira Yamaoka’s remastered score, reimagined by the Polish development team, pairs perfectly with these visuals, blending haunting melodies and unsettling ambient noise to pull you deeper into the **** story remains Silent Hill 2’s greatest strength. James Sunderland’s journey through guilt and grief is just as compelling now as it was in the original. For me, the narrative once again served as a reminder of why Silent Hill 2 holds such a special place in gaming history. It’s not about cheap scares but about confronting the dark truths of the human condition, which is what made the original so unforgettable. However, while the remake excels in storytelling and atmosphere, the combat system feels downright frustrating. The lack of combat depth is particularly disappointing because everything else in the game is so finely tuned to draw you into its world. The original Silent Hill 2’s combat wasn’t a highlight either, but the remake had an opportunity to refine it - and sadly missed the mark. The mechanics are frustrating, imprecise, and lacking basic features like a lock-on system, making fights more of a chore than an engaging **** the end, Silent Hill 2 Remake is a flawed but deeply meaningful journey - one that reminds us why we fell in love with the town in the first place.
"A Shallow, Disappointing Experience" This game is an absolute disappointment. It feels bland, uninspired, and lacks any depth. The gameplay is overly simplistic, offering nothing new or engaging for either casual players or long-time fans. It somehow manages to be a game for no one and everyone at the same time—appealing to the lowest common denominator without satisfying any particular group. The writing is painfully shallow, devoid of any deeper meaning or emotional weight. It feels like a rushed, surface-level effort, failing to deliver anything memorable or thought-provoking. There’s no originality here-just a rehash of tired tropes and mechanics we’ve seen countless times before. In short, it's a colossal waste of time and money. If you’re hoping for something innovative or even mildly entertaining, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Bioware is gone!
I really wanted to like this game. Right up until the end, I hoped it would finally draw me in. Unfortunately, that never happened. For some reason, many people compare this game to Bloodborne. Apart from a few elements of Victorian architecture, the overall style, and a similar aesthetic for the main character and his weapons, this game has very little in common with Bloodborne. The gameplay is exceptionally slow, the combat poorly balanced and imprecise, and worst of all - parrying and counterattacks are practically useless. Dodging, instead of helping, often makes things worse. Enemies somehow almost always manage to turn around and hit you. When you approach an enemy - say, one walking away from you - they usually don’t attack. But the moment you press the attack button, they suddenly spring to life and start retaliating. It’s an artificial way to increase difficulty. A large part of the game world consists of narrow corridors. So, what fits such an environment? Naturally, surfaces that reflect your attacks! Whether it’s a stone wall, a steel barrier, a small wooden fence, or a decorative element, your weapon will bounce off in 80% of cases, leaving you wide open to enemy strikes. Want to regain health after being hit? Sure - but only after your character returns to their starting position. Otherwise, the button responsible for healing simply won’t work. And of course, in the heat of battle and amid continuous enemy attacks, this usually results in death. The story is decent, though very predictable. There are a few characters who might surprise you and a few who are irritating - mostly due to poor voice acting. Unfortunately, our companion falls into the latter category. He breaks immersion and comes across as childish. These are just some of the problems I encountered while playing. I’m glad I didn’t buy it at full price on release. In my opinion, it’s worth waiting for a significant discount, as it definitely isn’t a title worth paying full price for.
This game is a disappointment and a drag. The story is boring, the mechanics are horrendous, and the characters are both unappealing and unattractive. It doesn’t even capture the essence of the Star Wars universe. It’s a waste of money and an enormous waste of time. I strongly do not recommend it.
A fantastic culmination of one of the best games in recent years! This expansion sets new standards and will serve as a benchmark for future titles in its genre. It’s an add-on that feels like a fully-fledged new game.
I really wanted to enjoy this game, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. While the atmosphere and story had potential, the experience fell short of being a true game. It’s more of a walking simulator, with minimal interaction beyond pressing a single key and the occasional quick-time event. The ending was underwhelming, the plot felt dull and convoluted, and ultimately, it all seemed surprisingly pointless. "Fort Solis" might have worked better as a movie, but as a game, it just didn’t hit the mark.
...wasn't expecting to enjoy this game as much as I did! Amazing gameplay, beautiful design! Some minor issues with platforming/jumping gameplay, but overall a must play!
A boring addition that adds nothing to the Horizon world. Sexualization of characters that don't need it. DLC I do not recommend. Zero Dawn was tiresome, pompous and boring. Forbidden West very similar, but definitely more interesting. Burning Shores is for some reason worse than ZD. It has the worst features of the both main parts... plus that annoying sexuality of the digital characters. Thanks to the Burring Shores, I am done with the series. I will not play the third part, even if it was for free. I'm done with Horizon.
Hellblade may be a very good, story-driven game, but.... the gameplay, for me, was awful and frustrating. The game may have some deeper meaning, some story to tell, but it's hard to enjoy it when the lack of precision of the combat system breaks up the immersion. A pretty game, nothing more. Form over substance. Not recommended, unless you're a masochist.
A fun, lighthearted and warm title. The plot is more complex than it might seem at first. Very cool characters, very well acted, written and designed. Gameplay is a bit repetitive, but enjoyable. Overall, the game design, world building and concepts are stunning. The environment design in this game is amazing. One of the best contemporary sci-fi games. Recommended.
Once my favourite game, now turned into a ridiculous cash crab. I will never again invest my time and money in any naughty dog's products. Not worth the money. Goodbye.
English is not my native language, I do apologize in advance for any mistakes and errors. My god, this game is badly written/directed! At first, around 30h into the game, I was pretty happy with the game, world building, graphics, etc. At that time, for me, the game was a solid 8/10. I was so wrong. Everything in this game happens so fast, so randomly. Before you even meet a character, that character is already dead/dying, or betraying you (which is incredibly predictable). For example, you watch some gruesome death of some child.... the kid you met 5 minutes earlier. The game lets you 'lightly' know that now is the time for sadness (slow-mo, sad music, crying mother). Sometimes the loading time of the game is longer than the exposition of characters. You feel zero attachment, zero emotion. That one scene, quest, reminded me of the prologue to The Last of Us. All it took was a few minutes of good acting, brief exposition and a subtle backstory, to make you feel something, to feel the suffering of a parent who just lost a child. There is not even one such moment in Assassins' Creed Origins. Wasted potential. For most of the game, I felt zero attachment to any of the characters. In some places, Bayek had quite interesting tantrums, expressing some emotions. Unfortunately, after 100+ hours, I can't recall even one interesting character. Side quests could have been non-existent, boring, repetitive. Horrifyingly badly acted. A character outside the Animus... for most of the time, I didn't even remember that she existed at all. The entire story line could have ceased to exist, and it wouldn't have changed anything in Bayek's world. This game is a drag. By the end, instead of being interested in how it would end, I was bored and waiting for it to finally end. The last game in the Assassins' Creed series that I played was Unity. Pretty cool, visually gorgeous, realistic characters and their stories. Here I was dying of boredom and annoyance. Every now and then, when a new game in the series comes out, I think to myself that maybe it's worth a try, maybe it will be OK this time...? This is definitely the last game in the Assassins' Creed series that I will ever play. Unfortunately, the series died along with Ezio, as did my interest in the Creed.
I cannot even describe how massive and beautiful this game is! How engaging and partially challenging it gets. The game gives you some clues, hints towards the story or exploration, everything else you have to figure out on your own. A pretty old-school approach to gaming. Whether you are a Souls/From Software fan or not, you should give it a try. It is a completely different experience from what you can get in most of the modern titles. Highly recommended.
Ridiculous cash grab! Minor graphics improvements! Nothing new; the same game with a bit higher resolution and higher FPS count. It is not even a remaster, it's just a patch they ask you to pay for! Even if you own the game, you'll have to pay for another version! Pathetic!
Broken game design, and poor character control balance! (PS5 Version) The last chapter broke the game for me. Starting from the 'pushing cart' part, till the final boss this game is an unplayable mess. Took me about 30 tries to finish the cart part, I was unable to beat the boss. Character controls lack a lot of precision, every single time, when the final enemy was exposed to my attack, my first shot was always a miss... at a certain point, another character was supposed to help you with the rats, but for some reason he was unable to do so. So you run around, try to reach that same moment only to hear that he can't do it because of some arbitrary reasons... It took me maybe 20/25 tries, after that I said F-it, and this was the end of the game for me. I am not the best player in the world, although I did a platinum trophy in Bloodborne, Sekiro, God Of War finished on highest difficulty, and yet, A Plague Tale made me rage quit. Voice acting ("English" version) in this game is poor and really annoying as well. I understand, it's an indie title, but what is the point of having an English speaking actress pretend a french one? Makes no sense at all. Accents makes sense when the characters speak between each other in a different languages, but here, we have a French people speaking between each other in English with some weird accents. Why? From the beginning this broke the immersion for me. Every single time when Amicia and Hugo where talking, it was like nails on a chalkboard! Unbearable, infantile, stylized and unnecessary. Oh, and there should be a drinking game, every time you here Hugo saying 'mummy', you 'drink' a bullet to the head. :3 I was very exited for this game, and in the end it's a title I will remember for a long, LONG time, as one of the most annoying games I've played in a long time. Hype for the second game is gone, will not play it even if it was a free game.

I still can't believe what I've just finished. This game is a joke! It is a beautifully looking title, no questions there, but the story is unbearable. Falsely advertise title, so many plot holes. ridiculous decisions and EXTREMELY boring characters. Don't waste your money for a title and a company, which has no respect towards fans of the game. One of the biggest disappointments in the history of video games.
Cute, smart and fun title! I remember the original game, which still is one of my favourite titles. remake of the FF7 is a true to its core, and at the same time, it's a completely new experience! Higly recommended!
A true masterpiece. It's way more than just a game, it's an experience every gamer should go through! To me the game is on the same level as The Witcher 3! Ground breaking title.
An amazing game I would recommend to anyone. it is a very solid title, well fixed, an interesting and captivating story. Play it, you will love it like I did!
