Pros: graphics, atmosphere, controls.
Cons: overworld, barely any real backtrack. Definitely not a bad game, but still severely compromised by poor design choices. Could easily have been a 10 if developers had not overthought some mechanics.
A boring game that tries hard to be a mix of Nier and classic Final Fantasy. If I want a game that feels old, I'm better off playing the true classics. Such a big disappointment.
An excellent game in 1998, but just a good game in 2025. This game severely needs a remaster with quality of life upgrades to be truly enjoyable again.
I bought this on sale and I still regret wasting my money. Level design is terrible and enemy patterns are ridiculous. Also, the way women are depicted in this particular game is sick and disgusting. This game is an offense to the genre. Worst title on the Switch.
Local multiplayer is what saves this game from being a total waste of money. However, many options present in the original game were simply removed. Story mode is single player only. It's bland and uninteresting and Castle levels make it nearly unplayable. I cannot stress enough how everyone should skip this in favor of the first game (which, I have to say, is far from being great, but still better than this mess).
The HD graphics are great, the control scheme is great, but this is still a game from 2002. Is this the best Nintendo could have given us 5 years after announcing Metroid Prime 4? I don't think so. If this had been Metroid Prime Trilogy Remastered, the price tag would have been acceptable. But for a single game, don't waste your money. Wait for it to go on sale.
Some people compare this game to BOTW, but after finishing BOTW (and TOTK), I can say Immortals is much, much better than BOTW. It's faster, more dynamic and presents equally challenging and clever puzzles.
I honestly don't understand why so many people hate this game. The graphics are great for the console, there are many characters to choose from and, overall, it's a great package. It might not be the best game in the world for hardcore players, but casual players will have a blast.
The game makes sure it always keeps you on your toes. It's super hard, but also balanced and filled with intelligent ideas. Some people might consider it clunky and antiquated, though.
As long as you're not expecting something similar to Skyrim or The Witcher 3, Darkstone is a solid, enjoyable game. Western RPGs are extremely rare on 32-bit systems, and Darkstone is probably your best choice, though it's certainly not much.
Probably the worst game I've played in my life. I don't understand the appeal of MOBAs, and this one has the worst community I've been in contact with. Don't play it.
Fast-paced action, old-school graphics with a nice coat of paint, tight gameplay and many modes. It's not innovative or groundbreaking by any means, but what it does, it does extremely well.
