What is there to say about Lawrence of Arabia that hasn't been said already? Was it hard to sit through a film this long? Yes. Did it keep me engaged the entire time? Also yes.

This caught me completely off guard. I was expecting it to be fun, but I didn't expect it to be amazing. First off, the songs. I have had "Hatful Of Dreams", "Just A Moment", "Sweet Tooth" and "World Of My Own" stuck in my head since I watched this film, and obviously the Oompa Loompa songs went hard as well. The characters in this film instantly win you over with their over-the-top and cartoonish personalities. All of the villains are amusingly hatable and Wonka's helpers all distinguise themselves from each over and win you over with their backstories. However the highlights of the movie are Timothee Chalamet as Wonka and Calah Lane as Noodle. Noodle is an instantly sympathetic character and the mystery surrounding her origins in this film keeps you engaged the entire runtime. And whilst we joke about "child murderer wonka", Chalamet knocks it out of the park as a whimsical, lovable and ultimately optimistic protagonist. Also, this movie is funny. Really funny. One specific scene involving the priest and a giraffe completely floored me with laughter watching it in cinemas, and everything involving the Oompa Loompa is comedy gold. Most of all, this film has an incredibly strong heart. All of the characters unconditionally care about each other, there's never a moment in this film which feels too cruel, and Paul King perfectly understands how to craft a Dahl plot, creating something new which could have come from the original author himself. Paul King has officially become a national treasure with this film, and now Paddington in Peru just got a whole lot more exciting.

I won't lie: I hate sex comedies. But this did it PERFECTLY. This movie is everything I want from a comedy and more. It's absurd, edgy and at times brutal, but it never feels cruel towards the characters. Also, where most in the genre fall to mysogynistic tropes and stereotypes, this movie perfectly avoids them. This movie aimed to be a blend of Superbad and Fight Club, but it managed to surpass both of them. Watch this movie whenever you get the **** won't regret it.

Do not go into this movie expecting a horror film. This felt more like a Halloween special than a full horror, but that's fine. This movie isn't anything special, but it had me engaged and second guessing the entire runtime, and even after watching it, I still have many questions unanswered, and I love it. If you love mystery movies and have 2 hours to kill, give it a shot.

I'll be honest, this is what video game movies SHOULD be like. This movie compromises enough to appeal to people slightly familiar with the games whilst staying true to itself in enough ways to keep it recognisable to the fans. All the fanservice moments hit perfectly, the story was easy enough to follow and the lore didn't complicate the movie too much. The deaths could have been more brutal but they go as far as they're allowed (2 kills specifically were perfectly brutal). There's been some complaints about the lighter tone of some parts of the movie compared to the earlier games, but it worked really well for me, considering the context. Overall, while it may not be perfect as a horror movie, it is amazing as a FNAF movie, which ultimately is what it was trying to be.
