I don't often give 10's, but in my opinion this game is a masterpiece... I love everything about it, the Characters, the music score (which is phenominal), the story and the gameplay and enjoyable and satisfying combat system are all excellent here. It's rare that a game grabs me like this one has, and i find myselg wanting to keep coming back to it. I hope they make a sequel set in this universe.

I haven't put a review out on here for some time, but there are some things so maddening about Halo Infinite, i felt compelled to write this review.. and before anyone accuses me of being a Sony Fanboy, i game primarily on Xbox. As a massive Halo fan ever since the original game on the original Xbox, i was looking forward to this game early on, despite not knowing much about it, and with the promise from 343 that they wouldn't make the mistake of omitting Split screen again after that mistake and backlash in Halo 5, i was looking forward to the release of Infinite, but things happening with this game have all but ruined it for me, hence the very low score. First, there was the lacklustre graphics in the gameplay reveal, making 343 and Xbox delay the game another year to polish it and keep working on it, which i was all for, and granted, it does look a lot better than then. The two key things that ruined this game for me however, was revealed before release, and that was that the game was going no release with no only split screen missing, despite their statement that they had learned from their mistakes in this area, but it also would not have Co-Op at all on release out of the box?! This in itself is unforgivable for Halo, especially after a year long delay, and should never have rushed out and released without such fundamental features. This alone had pretty much ruined the excitment i had for this game, and then i was surprised when it got even worse, when i found out just before the game released, when i discovered that the physical version of the game isn't at all what it should be, and that is to say it seems to have pretty much nothing on the disk itself, no PvP or even campaign is installable from the disk?! It has to be installed online and can't be installed from the disk, meaning you do not have a standalone game from the disk itself, and you cannot install the game unless you are online and connected to Xbox live, even if you have the disk!.. To those that download their games, this won't mean anything, but to those who value physical ownership og a game, and the ability to install it without having to rely on online or a service, and want to be able to install it years down the line without internet and service reliance, this is a very big deal indeed, and this is one of the key, if not main reasons people buy their games on physical media.. This will be the first Halo in the entire series that you cannot own physically, and this is a worrying trend if Xbox is willing to treat and release it's flagship series in such a way.. This decision by Xbox/343, has pretty much made buying the game on disk pretty pointless and redundant, with the disk merely being an online activation key, this is not what people buy physical for, and a lot of people are going to be disappointed and angry, and i am one of of them, because i have wasted my money buying a disk that doesn't even have the game on it?! Sewriously, i may as well have played it on Gamepass and saved my money, and if i knew then what i know now, i would have not bought it, and frankly i feel completely cheated and want a refund for my disk with essentially nothing on it, most of it had to be installed from online when the game released anyway, and wouldn't work without it, don't fall into the trap i did and buy it on disk, because owning it on disk is pointless, for the reasons i explained. What makes this even more saddening, is that the game actually feels and plays well, but the other things have just ruined the whole thing for me, and yes, while the game does play well, the enviroment in the game is very one tone, or i should say two tone, because there is only two things you will see in this game, the same old grass, rocks, hills and sporadic sprinkling of trees and structures, or the similar looking indoor bits, there is no enviromental diversity throughout the whole game, which gets old quite fast, which wouldn't be so bad if the campaign was particularly interesting,. but it just isn't, it's possibly as weak or even weaker than Halo 5's, and that's saying something... I always expected this game to play well, it's Halo, in fact the combat feels better than any other game in the series (the driving feels a little off for some reason though), but Halo is about far more than that, it's about it's universe, story, lore and game features such as Co-Op and split-screen, and and its lite on the former and completely absent of the split screen and Co-Op. Yes, they say they are putting Split screen and Co-Op in in half a year or mores, time, but we only have their word on that, and even then, people will have played the game by then, many people wanted to share their first play through with others in Co-Op, and 343 have denied their players this experience. In fact, i am so disappointed and angry with how 343 have shipped this game, i think it's about time Xbox gave Halo to a new develop

Gran Tourismo used to be a respected, beloved and iconic racing series, and i'm sad to say that it has become a real money cash cow that sacrifices making a good game for greed. To make all this worse, the game has an unneccesary online reliance for the single player mode, and not just online, but always connected, and this is the main reason i dodn't buy GT Sport, and also why i won't be buying this either. I haven't even gone into the ridiculous ammounts of grinding in the game to afford a lot of the cars, and some cars costing as much as £200 real world money (at time of writing) for a single car, absolutely disgusting, and i hope that many other people protect with their wallets by not buying and encouraging this sort of practice. The Forza games have a lot of online functionality, such as PvP, to Co-Op, to competative leaderboards, but do not demand or require online connection, let alone constant connection, which is the right and best way to do it.

While there is room for improvement here, I have to say I'm not understanding the hate for this game, and don't get me wrong, i understand the hate for games where it's due, such as Fallout 76 etc, but it baffles me how people can hate this as i'm really enjoying the game, it plays really well and the action and gameplay is satisfying, and i can see myself putting lots of time into this, and all the stuff you can buy in the game, can be bought through credits you can earn on the game, and seem forgiving to earn compared to most grindy games, and even then it's only cosmetic items, nothing that effects gameplay, so no pay to win, so i really don't see the problem here. That said, I'm playing it on Xbox X which it plays very nicely on, and I've heard it doesn't feel as smooth currently on vanilla Xbone, and while i say i am enjoying the game greatly, there are a couple of thing's i should mention i don't like. Firstly, the fact that it can't be played offline, i hate it when games have an online reliance for seemingly no reason, i don't like my games having a shelf life. Secondly, and secondly, it doesn't live up to the visuals of the E3 reveal, but that said, it's still a great looking game. nonetheless.

I don't think i have ever rated a game a zero before, but this is such a backwards step and feature-lite 'package' with so little features that interest me to the point there is no reason for me to buy this, i feel compelled to give it a dead zero. My main grip with this game (such as it is), is the lack of a campaign/story mode.. this was the main and sole reason i personally bought these titles before, for the military themed campaign, without that, this just seems like a really lazy product and extremely poor value for money and money grab on the behalf of the publisher, and is now an empty shallow PvP only experience with a now obvious online reliant shelf life before it becomes essentially a glorifies mug coaster... without a campaign, this is a huge backwards step and something less, not progress, especially compared to the feature packed Black Ops 3, with two campaigns, Co-Op capable campaign and Split screen for all modes, this Black Ops (i don't even know why it's called Black Ops as its nothing to do with Black Ops operations) is an insult after such a comprehensive Black Ops 3. I hope this is not a sigh of things to come for Call of Duty, because if it is, i will never be buying a Call of Duty again.

Great Game, Shame you can only use vehicles via using the Air Raider class character.. I'll start by saying that this game isn't going to appeal to everyone. It's very Japanese in feel which some might not like, and some might see the game as slightly corny, but man, is this game a load of fun!.. To those unfamiliar with the series, you are in the titular Earth Defence Force, an organisation that exists solely to fight extra terrestrial threats to Earth, similar to X-Com but on a much larger scale in an action game form. This is where the game is slightly corny, because this threat(Refered to as the Ravagers), comes in the form of Giant Bugs of various types, Giant Ships and Giant Robots and other monsters(Yes, eveything is BIG in this game regarding enemies)which is the very appeal of the game to its fans. The game can be played Solo or Co-Op 2 player locally or up to 4 players online, which is great as it's always more fun in Co-Op but still fun single player in my opinion. There are simply loooooads of missions in the game, almost a hundred in fact(with DLC packs making it almost 150?!), far more than most games have these days.. Some are short, but most are a good length but always fun. I wont go into the classes too much, but there's four different classes of EDF soldier you can choose from, which are the Ranger: your standard jack of all trades/master of none soldier, Fencer: a heavily armoured slow moving exoskeleton wearing human sized tank with larger weapons, The Wing Diver: a female Jet Pack wearing flying/walking, weaker armored but faster character that employs alien inspired energy weaponry, and the Air Raider, a more tactical support class character that can call in Airstrikes, deploy mines and similar weapons and explosives and order vehicles for the team to use. In fact there are many, many weapons to collect and unlock as you progress through the game, some improved/alternative versions of what you already have, some not. The graphics are nothing to wrote home about in the game, but but they do seem to improve with every title that comes out, and they are certainly more than adequate here, especially considering the open naturee of the enviroments and the epic scale of the battles in terms of the size and quantity of the enemies and destructibility of the levels(Just about every building can be reduced to rubble if you had the inclination). I've seen a few others complain about occasional frame rate issues, but i have not encountered any at all in all honesty, on the 360 version at least. The game is great fun if you relax and accept it for what it is, an unpretentious gloriously over the top single player/Co-Op shooter. I do have a couple of complains however. While you can happily play through the game in single player using the Ranger, Fencer and Wing Diver classes, it would be extremely hard to do so as the Air Raider due to its support class nature, and the problem is, you can't experience vehicles without an Air Raider, because only an Air Raider can call in vehicles.. In EDF-2017, (and all the other EDF games to my knowledge) vehicles could be found lying around for you to jump into and utilise, and no particular class was needed to get them, but with no Air raider in this game, you simply have to do without, but the vehicles are a big draw to many fans of the series, but being forced to use the rather niche/limited Air Raider to use them, is not good, not good at all.... Even then you can only equipe one type of vehicle you can call in per mission, which you choose before the mission starts, so there's no ability to adap and call a vehicle dependant on what is needed for any given situation. It is great to see a much great choice of vehicles in this game to 2017, but having having to use an Air Raider to actually be able to use them, has also taken a lot away from the game to the point you hardly get to use these vehicles at all.. Shame, because otherwise, everything else is great.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Well actually not really no. While the two Amazing Spiderman games might look similar to the other Spiderman games at face value, there's mechanics in these these games that make them pretty different to the other Spiderman games. First of all, it has a combat mechanics unlike every other Spiderman series, in that it borrows heavily from the combat in the Batman-Arkham games, which is of course a good thing. While it isn't quite as polished as the Arkham games, the combat is clearly inspired by them and is enjoyable and better for it. Also, the Amazing Spiderman games have predator mechanics, again 'borrowed' from the Arkham games but work very well. If you think about it, Spiderman is pretty well suited to predator tactics, because a spider is basically a predator in its world and being able to strike from anywhere gives you a lot of options and opportunities. Another great mechanic in this series, is Web Rush. It basically simulates Spidermans extremely fast reflexes and thinking speed, by letting you slow time down to a(near)standstill if you so wish for a certain amount of time, while you choose a precise place to Web to, which allows for precise, considered and sustained Web swinging, which is cool in my opinion. You can Web zip in real time too of course. The games also pays good fan service, by including various different Spiderman outfits from the comics which is cool and a lot of people seem to really like that. I've been playing the new game a lot, and have this to add specifically regarding the new game. I'll start by saying first and formost, that if you liked the first Amazing Spiderman game, then your also going to love this one for sure. The new game has everything the first game had, such as the Arkham inspired combat and predator mechanics, fun Web swinging, Web Rush and collecting all the comic pieces to unlock readable comics, but it also has some tweeks and improvements on those foundations. New improvements are things like a Web swinging system that has the left trigger acting as your left Web shooter, and your right trigger, the right shooter, which makes perfect sense and just feels..right. The webs actually attach to buildings now, and if you watch a video of or play the first Amazing Spiderman game after playing the new one, you won't belive you never noticed it didn't do that before lol. Other improvements are a better variety of persistent side missions, with additions such as rescuing people from burning buildings and other situations for example, and even the ones returning from the last game are improved, such as more prolonged and involving police stand off's that give you engrossing predator scenarios that are more lengthy and varied, allowing you to go in all fists and webs blazing or flex your predator muscles(so to speak)as I say, or the stolen car scenarios for example, that have you moving freely over the top and sides of the car, pulling out windows and occupants and hostages while being attacked with more comprehensive button prompts to keep you on your toes. Completing side missions also maintains your reputation as a hero, or you end up having people believe Jonah J Jamison that your a menace, which can have have consequences if you're in 'menace status'. All the different unlockable outfits in the game have different modifier bonuses depending based on whether you have a Menace or Hero reputation, and how high that reputation is. I like that you have to earn each costume by completing a missions, which involves infiltrating a locations where the tech is to be found, requiring stealth all the way to accomplish. You now have the ability to 'Switch on' your spider sense at any time, which is essentially like detective vision in the Batman-Arkham games, which shows you where enemies and other usable objects are, which is especially useful in predator scenarios, and your senses can be improved, with some nice benefits. There's also more predator moves you can use any time, such as take downs from ledges below and using your Web to repel down from perches, roof supports or a ceilings, down to your prey for stealth takedowns. Picking off your prey one at a time, without even revealing your presence, has you feeing like a proper badass, and is highly satisfying. There's also little tweeks, that might not sound like much on paper, but as a whole improve the game and the way it feels, such as you don't have to jump over small objects, you vault over them automatically instead, little things like that all add up. There are sections where your Peter Parker, but these are under developed in my opinion, but in the context they are used, such as infiltrating a social event or something, it makes sense to not be dressed as Spidey. The graphics, even on next gen, are not going to blow anyone away. While they could have been better, they are perfectly fine and smooth, and you must take into account that this game doesn't have the budget that bigger games out there have, but they are better than in the last game, and in next gen, noticeably better detailed with better populated textures, and justify the slightly higher price in my opinion. The developers have done miracles with what the time and budget I imagine they had, and I'd love to see what they could do with the time and budget the Arkham games have is this is what they can produce on a lesser budget?! The camera makes you work a little harder than perhaps you should, and the news pieces after each mission may annoy but you can skip them, so these are minor complaints really, and by no means a game changer to the core game. So to summarise, if you liked the last game, you'll like this one even more, because it has all the same elements and game play you know and love, but with various improvements and Tweeks, and while there's obvious room for improvement, the game is still a solid, fun, addictive and highly enjoyable game and Spiderman game.

The Cursed Crusade

The game has an interesting concept, that of a Co-Op enabled third person action fighting story based game set during the Crusades. It also has the foundations for an interesting combat mechanic, but unfortunately the application doesn't realise the concept well enough. While it plays quite well, there's an odd mechanic where when you block an opponents attack, you both go into some weird frozen pose with them while the game waits for you to press a button prompt. This might have been okay if it was occaasional, but it happens ALL the time during combat and gets old fast, and is certainly not the better for it as it destroys any flow of the fight. While its great that there's so many weapon and shield varations and combos, such as single handed, single handed with shield, duel wielding, two handed weapons, crossbow etc, the method of selecting weapons using the D-pad, including the diagonals, isn't ideal and ultimately a bit hit and miss, that can have you literally floundering to get the weapons you want equipped in the heat of battle.. There's a couple of other apects to the game that let it down a bit, such as the dreadful music and buges that were never fixed, such as everytime you load the game, you have to turn all the music and sound effects up, because they always revert to zero when you turn the game off, it never saves your preferences or even has them turned up by default, which was very poor. There is some enjoymant to be had from the game. I like the fact that in Co-Op it's split screen(Online Co-Op is also available),and there's some nice/satisfying touches, such as when you and your partner perform a joint finish move, the screen goes full screen while you perform them. There will be people who enjoy this game, and i can see why they would, but the game could have benefitted more time in development and a bigger budget to see the concept polished and properly realised, but as it is, despite its ability to give some degree of entertainment, for its faults and imperfections it gets a 5.

This is a beautiful game, and it is clear that a lot of effort has gone into the environments, characterisation and story. To all the people that are criticising that this doesn't play like normal games, this is an intreractive, strongly narrative driven game that you can effect and see different things depennding on what you do, and never claimed or pretended to be anything else! Seeing and accepting this for what it is and meant to be, it is a very compelling and interesting experience. I particularly love the fact that there's a two player mode, where one player plays as Jodie on one joypad or smart device, and the other player plays as Aiden, the spirit that accompanies her, on another joypad or smart device. Controlling Aiden seems too simplified when played on a smart device, but it is unquestionably nice to have the option and will appeal to casual games immensely. Only one player is in control at any one time, but it's nice to have to not hot swap the controller, and i only wish games like Xcom-Enemy Unknown had a similar controller assigning feature.. The graphics are superb and among the best of this gen, and although they are top notch for the most part, are not so in a few instances, the time in the desert for example. The game is a lot longer than i was expecting, as i feared it would be a short game, but am pleasantly surprised by the length. Special not must go to all the acting in the game, all superb! As i said, a very compelling interactive story/movie, and one that i would highly recommend playing with your significant other, my girlfriend absolutely loves the game, i believe she said it was her favorite that she's played to date!

Oh Criterion, what have you done.. By rights, this should be a good game, but its been almost completely ruined by a rudimentary yet astonishingly bad design decision!.. Hence the score, but if this critical flaw gets corrected,i will review my score & review. For now,I'll start with this oversight before i get to the game & its positives.. What on earth were Criterion thinking when they failed to implement a normal, staple in-car view?! Yes,thats right, the game has no normal, usable in car cam! & by that i mean bonnet cam or even an equivalent height view.. The game offers a frankly pathetic 'choice' of 2 views only. These views are either a behind car view or an EXTREMELY low bumber in-car view?! The bumper cam is so low, that you would be forgiven for thinking that you have been shrunk & are driving in an extremely tiny but extremely fast go kart or Sinclair C5 or something.. This view is so low, that its unusable, feeling way too fast for skill to be a factor & very limited visibility due to your limited **** drives a car, hanging off the front of their bonnet with their heads literally an inch off the ground!? I don't like to use & don't use either of those views when i play racing **** in-car bumper cam is so bad, that i use the behind car cam, which i hate using & never use.THATS how bad the in-car cam is.. I resent being forced to use a view i hate, because of the lack of any usable alternatives.Shocking!!... I literally can't quite believe it,its a travesty to not have a bonnet cam or equivalent height in car view in a racing game,& really struggle to think of any other game thats done this. They are alienating a great many potential gamers with this glaring omission in the game & i can't believe i haven't seen any critic reviews that have picked up on this.. Ok,onto the positives.. The game looks great with some nice graphical **** free roaming city(Its great to see there's actually a reason to free roam, unlike their Hot Pursuit a couple of years back)looks great,& they have created a bustling environment, with plenty going on & places to race & go when being chased by the **** engine sounds are absolutely superb,& definitely improve the feel of the game in **** police chases are good fun & theres a fairly decent choice of cars for this type of game & the handling thankfully isn't over arcadey like Hot Pursuit was, though if i'm honest, would have still preferred more realistic, technical handling(this is not a Burnout title after **** it is though,it plays more like the later Burnout games than Need for Speed,in fact i would say this is more a Burnout game with the Need for Speed name slapped on **** it too much to ask for my Need for Speed games to be like, well,Need for Speed?.. There's plenty of races designed for each individual car,as well as the titular most wanted racers you have to take down, one at a time during the course of the game.Autolog is well implemented too.Sometimes the game feels a bit hollow & soulless, pumping music into your ears while the game makes crashes at every opportunity(whether you want to or not),which Criterion seem obsessed with, along with over the top jumps that a car just wouldn't survive in real life & rubber band racing.. Other racers seem obsessed with smashing into you too, which is annoying when you just want to race.I wish there was an option to turn other cars aggression off,& therefore the rubber band 'racing' feel to it all. I feel like i'm having to play the game how they want me to play it,rather than how i want to play it,especially with the lack of view choices forcing me to use the behind car cam which only exacerbates the imprecise handling as you constantly swerve from side to **** good. Having a normal in-car cam could help with precision,if only it had such a view......... So,to summarize, the game had a lot of potential,& there is fun there to be had,but only if you like your out of car or very low bumber cam views. If your one of the many people that don't use those views like me,then you'll be cursing the game while your playing it,because you have not been catered for & blatently ignored,& your resenting being forced to use a view you don't want to use, when you should be enjoying the game.. What a waste & such a shame.. Maybe they will patch a proper view in,in which case,as i say will re think my review, but i wont hold my breath.. I resentfully give this game a 5,because without a usable view, this game is almost unplayable to me..

I'll start by saying that i've never seen such an organised display of childish behaviour than i've seen when i look at a lot of these so-called 'reviews'!.. All you people that have tried to sabatage this games metascore with these 'zero' reviews should be thoroughly ashamed of **** make me embarassed to be a gamer right now, because whatever your issues are with the game straying a bit from its roots(which i will get to later),does not make this a bad game in the least by default,& by giving this game these zeroes, you are not only undermiming a game that is actually pretty good & has had a lot of work put into it,but are discretiting the user reviews on the whole.People are supposed to be able to come here & trust our fellow gamers opinions & be able to use them as reference, but its nasty hate campaigns like this that make all that untrustworthy,& frankly a joke.. Right, onto the game itself.. Ok,unlike some on here,i am goin to be judging this as a game,& therefore not on what the game isn't,but what the game IS.. & what the game is,is an enjoyable, cinematic, highly polished, extremely long experience for this kind of game that has an extremely generous amount of **** generous amount of content,i mean 4(yes 4)campaigns that 'each' equal the length of your average game nowadays such as Call of Duty,or even Dishonored,The Mercenaries mode & Agent Hunt mode, all playable in either single player or **** this is on the disk,so make no mistake, this is a very generous package indeed. The overall story is split into 4 seperate campaigns that can be played in whatever order you prefer. These campaigns tell the story of the war against bioterrorism from 4 different 'viewpoints' if you like,4 different perspectives, which in my opinion, adds a lot of veriety to the game. These campaigns are Leon S Kennedy's,Chris Redfield's,Jake Muller's & Ada Wong's. Leon's campaign is perhaps the closest in pace, tone & feel to the earlier Resident Evil **** is slower paced & goes for tension, but for me reminds me of why the series needed to move on from those earlier titles in the series,as not a great deal actually happens until later **** still a campaign with some great moments though,& should(or should i say 'would have' satisfied those people who want a more classic Resident Evil experience, that is if they wernt so busy with their fingers in their ears, going la la la la la i'm not listening,la la la la la.. The campaign itself represents the investagive side of the events going on,as a special agent. Chris's campaign represents the governments or Militarys if you like, reaction & response to the worldwide threat of bioterrorism, through the the eyes of a BSAA team,& as a result,is a faster paced experience than Leon's.Whie this is not obviously as close to the series roots, its still nontheless fun, epic & conveys the militarys response to the threats well enough.I must give special note to the acting,as i thought the acting of Chris & Piers were both very good, with Chris especially as he seems to genuinely care about his men. Jake's campaign is from the perspective of someone who is caught up in the series of events that the game covers,& is primarily about survival to him & his **** doesn't know why he's involved,& i wont say why,for anyone that doesn't **** similarly paced to Chris's campaign, but with some slower sections for good measure, all the while having a theme of being persued for reasons he doesn't know.. Ada's campaign is from the perspective from 'the bad guy' for want of a better ****'s heavily involved in the bioterrorism thats currently plagueing the world in the **** has some busy moments, but also some puzzle elements reminiscent of the older titles in the series. I don't have the space here to go into Mercenaries & Agent Hunt modes, but as i say,all in all, a very generous package indeed,& this is why i just don't get the level of hate & apathy towards this game.. I do understand the concept that its not as close to the eatlier titles as some would like, but this is still a good game,& the marks that a lot have given this for the wrong or petty reasons is insulting **** worst you have Leons campaign,a full length classic Resi experience with Zombies & tension,so whats the problem!? Personally,i think the franchise needed to move **** story certainly **** virus is a global threat now,so we cant be wandering back & forth through rooms for hours in a mansion in the woods, ferrying keys & bits of crests to open doors, literally useless Hand to hand & shooting at enemies that are offscreen! Thats was ok for its time, but do you really want to go back to all that now i know i **** Capcom hadn't chanded the formula, they'd rightly get criticised for not evolving, such as Activision with CoD,& when they do change,& bend over backwards to try to please all, they get this reaction?! As a long time flight games & Ace Combat fan,it pains me to writhe this review, but i feel i must. While its comendable that Project Aces were trying something new, what they did do was something to try to draw in the non-flight gaming **** problem with that is,the changes they implimented are all style but no substance,& the changes didnt & never will attract the non-flight crowd,& only succedded in alienating & annoying the core fans of these type of games & the series.I really wanted to like this game, but i can see why alot of people are not happy with it.Firstly though i have to say the addititions of real world locations & Helicopter Gunships were most welcome additions,as was the removal of the frankly ludicrus flying **** game looks great graphically, the characters, music & cutscenes being good also, and on the whole the game plays well. Where the game falls apart though,& unfortunately its a big one,is the Close range assault mode this game introduces to the series,& the on rails **** close range assault basically allows you to go into a close,REALLY close chase behind an enemy **** kind of a mini on-rails section in itself,as you have no control over where your flying, merely involving trying to get the enemy plane in your sights while the computer flys the plane for you as you follow the enemy through some set pieces(usually near the ground for dramatic effect). This get old VEEEERY quickly.. Also, when in close range assault,it doesnt seem to make any difference what plane your in,it all feels & handles exactly the same.Unfortunately, this is the big new feature they were trying to introduce to the series,so as a result there is unfortunately no way to turn it off completely in the options.. You cant get around not using close range assault either,as certain enemies are near impossible to take down without using it,& often theres a time limit to take down enemies, that using conventional tactics simply arnt viable **** basically this new(if unwelcome)feature is rammed down our throats. This may not sound like much, but it completely changes the gameplay of Ace Combat,& pretty much ruins the game for most people. Also, while the Gunship sections are great, the movment when using the **** view is very jerky & not very usable, forcing you to use either the outside or full hud view.Another unwelcome addition, are the pure on-rails sections. They are not particually fun to play, feels out of place with the rest of the game & plays EXACTLY the same way, every time you play **** my idea of fun, especially in an Ace Combat title.. Co-Op wise, you can play a few missions from the campaign in Co-Op,but not many. While fun,its extremely **** blatently another half baked 'effort' to put 'Co-Op on the back of the **** they had put Co-Op in the full campaign, this game might have saved itself sumwhat, but it hasnt. All in all,it was a risky gamble for Project Aces,to introduce the changes that they made to the gameplay, but the gamble failed in an epic way.Like i say, they need to realise that they are never going to attract people that are not interested in this type of game,no matter what changes they make & try to appease them. They need to concentrate on what the actual fans DO want & like,& provide that to them, which i hope they will do in the next title.A good way to get back to that greatness,is to get rid of the Close range Assault & other on-rails sections,& keep the gunships & real world locales,& to add a Co-Op option to the entire campaign.Other flight games have incorporated Co-Op for a while now,its about time Ace Combat caught up,& realised its popularity. Also add taking off & landing necessary for re-arming,& you will attract the fans of the series back in a big way. I was So close to giving this game a 6,but it was quite good fun, while not using Close Range Assault that is.Unfortunately, you have to use close range assault ALOT.

Very good game this. After playing the excellent Arkham Asylum,I was expecting alot,& alot i got. While i enjoyed Arkham Asylum & think its a good game,i didnt like the relatively small & claustrophobic setting of Arkham itself.Arkham City however is in a much larger area & in proper urban enviroments, which is lets face it,Batmans bread & **** can literally spread your wings & take **** game still has a fixed narrative of course, but is properly free roaming now,& has a whole host of exra things to be doing alongside the main **** start the game with ALL the skills available in Arkham Asylum, plus more to unlock in this game,so thats impresssive, plus theres the Catwoman bits.Personally i'm not interested in the Catwoman content, but even so i thought is was extremely naughty for Rocksteady to make it accessable only if you are online & have bought the game new,via a **** doesnt bother me,as i had the option to not download it,& forgoe playing as Catwoman & play it as a pure batman experience, but on principle,i dont agree with it,as it denies the content to people that have the right no choose to not have an internet connection, but have paid for the full **** game on the whole though is **** still has that fantastic combat system,& much more enemies to use it **** also has challenge maps, with more to unlock in game, plus the ability to re-play the game after completition in 'Plus' or normal mode, with all your unlocks & alternative choices of Batman costumes, which is **** game is actually a massive technical achievment in my **** the next game though, can we finally have Batman- 'Gotham' city, complete with Batmobile please, thanks.

This game got lost in the great game avalanche of late 2011,& thats a shame,as this is a REALLY good game.. At first glance,it would appear as your usual multiplayer roaming beat em up,that happens to be set in the Lord of the Rings universe, but when you play it,you soon realise that it actually has RPG elements with a very tight & enjoyable combat **** have hub locations where you can talk to certain characters Mass Effect style, both new & familiar faces, buy & sell your weapons, armour, other useable items & loot, repair your weapons & armour & pick up side objectives off **** inventory system is fast & fun to use, that also lets you give items to the other two characters(Be them Computer controlled or player).Combat wise, theres not a great deal of variety of moves in your basic attacks,BUT theres some nice moves & skills to unlock in your skill trees as you level up,& the combat itself requires a sense of timing with your strikes, blocking, counterattacks, evasive rolling & use of other skills,Its all extremely **** far as i'm concerned, this is the best(& darkest) Lord of the Rings game to date(bar The Third Age,but that is a turn based combat game,so is a different kind of game).Thats tells a nice backstory to the main story,& while i love this game alot,i have to point out that the game isnt as large as it implys earlier on.There are many locations on the map, that you can hover over & read about. They look exactly like the playable areas in every respect, but to my suprise upon completing the game,it turned out that these many other locations are not playable at all,but are merely there to read minor details of those areas, even though they play no part in the game. That was a bit naughty by the makers, because as i say,it implied that the game was alot bigger than it actually was.I must also point out, that its great that the game also supports split screen for two players & up to 3 via system link, but theres a ploblem if you play system link,in that voice chat does not work in system link,so if your planning on playing this game via system link, you need to keep that in mind.. Its a shame,as i would've liked to have played it 2 & 3 player system link, but the no voice chat kinda killed that idea. This is an excellent game on the whole though,& if your planning on playing it either alone, online or split-screen,then you honestly cant do much better than this game if you love your fighting games with a bit more meat to them,or Lord of the Rings.I really hope theres a sequel,War in the West perhaps? Then the East after that, thanks.

May 25, 2012
It feels like an age since this game was first announce,& sure enough has had a fair few delays. When the game was first announced all that time ago,i was concerned with the way Ubisoft was taking the Ghost Recon **** previous gen games were modern day set,& therefore more realistic & easier to relate to,then with the next gen of machines,we got the Advanced Warfighter 1&2 titles. This set about using more overtly futuristic tech, like drones & the cross coms, which while not presently used, were still very viable. When i saw the reveal for Future Soldier,my heart sank, with even more emphesis on future tech, complete with the contraversial Harry Potter style invisibility cloaks!? I couldnt have been the only one concered, judging by the way we were constantly assured that the tech is in development & within a decade away, but what was most worrying was the impact it would have on the gameplay. Well, the games finally here,& i'm relieved to say that its absolutely superb! The optical camo is still there, but is not by any means an infallible **** not only handled well, not over the top & detrimental to gameplay, its actually well implimented into the **** gives you options you wouldnt normally have in this type of game,& created something i wasnt expecting.Something that feels a bit different, but in a good **** see the technology has its limits, which you need to keep in mind when using **** cant get too close to the enemy,or you will still be seen,& it only works when your crouched or prone,so you cant move fast when using **** makes for a great tool to not make things too easy, but to get you into position to create opportunitys & strategys for you, such as setting up killing zones for sycronised kill shots launching your drones, which in themselves, with drones that can fly,& even land & drive,to the extreeeeemely cool WarHound(I'll let you find out)really run & useful to use,or going in for a stealth kill. Stealth plays its part in alot of the game, though you dont have to use it if you dont want to most of the **** can go in guns blazing conventional style of thats what you wish, but its nowhere near as much fun as going in unseen & using **** game feels much like a cross between Ghost Recon & the excellent Splinter **** even borrows the cool system that lets you dash between covers quickly,to be either unseen or when your under heavy fire, but you can move & switch covers conventially too,so it has the best of both worlds. Another aspect i wasnt sure about, was the 'sycronising shots' mechanic, but yet again i was very pleasantly **** very satisfying marking up to four targets, watching each of your squad get into a firing position, then wait for you to take your shot,or give the order for them to take theirs,Not because its hard to do,but because its so 'easy' to do.This mechanic that tells you when everyones shot is lines up & ready to fire, among other features, lends well to the excellent(& finally once again implimented)Campaign Co-Op(up to 4-player Co-Op no less, each with your own character with slightly different **** about time Campaign Co-Op made a return to Ghost Recon,I've missed you,& i'm suprised Co-Op isnt featured more in squad games,as you'd think being in a squad is an ideal opportunity for Co-Op.I havnt played multiplayer much, but theres some interesting modes, including a couple of no-respawn ones, which are fun if tense. Also of note,is Guerilla mode, which is basically a Hoard mode, but more tactical,a bit like the survival mode in Modern Warfare 3,but at a slower, more considered pace & different rounds, such as stealth kill rounds.Sadly Campaign Co-Op can only be played either Online or System link,no split screen, but Guerilla & other multiplayer modes can be played Online,System Link & Split Screen,or combining **** the game is a very good package,& the Co-Op means the game has great replay value.Graphics are great on the whole & the look suits the game extremely well.Theres a few muddy textures here & there, but nothing thats going to bother you, you'll be too busy enjoying the game with a grin on your face.Theres some moments that look absolutely beautiful, such as weather effects whci i wont spoil by talking about. One final mention must go to **** an excellent tools that lets you customise your weapons in minute detail(if you so wish),from its paint job to different types of trigger, barrel, gas system, attachments etc etc.I love it! It may sound daunting, but it really isnt, give it a go,you'll find it satisfying when the weapon re-assembles with all your choices taylor made for your next sortie. This is damn near perfect military squad game, that shows that a cinematic feel CAN be achieved in a Co-Op game(I'm looking at you Activision & EA,so take note).

Even though this game came in under the radar(Pardon the pun),& probably didnt have big production values,Its actually very good. What suprised me,is that its much better than Hawx,& to me even Ace Combat-Assault Horizon,as this game doesnt have the gimmicky & game ruining 'Close range assault' & on rails bits of Assault Horizon, the equally fun **** C130 & Drone missions in Hawx 2,or the dogfight cam in Hawx 1.This game gives you exactly what you want, missions in your jets with no distractions or gimmicks.Like Hawx(& UNlike Assault Horizon),the whole campaign can be played in 4-player online Co-Op,as well as the usual obligatory modes you get in flight games. The graphics, while not exeptional are noneleless very nice, smooth & in parts beautiful, with alot of ground detail such as hills, vallys cities etc with fantastic looking skies, clouds & sun & a genuine sense of speed & detail when flying close to the ground.. It all feels very cool,& you can even approach ground threats such as triple A & SAM by using hills as cover,& using flares to distract missiles as you approach SAM sites head on,feels exciting & cool also. The combat & flying feels as good as you could hope **** can pull of high G vectored turns in all views(unlike Hawx 1)& its a very easy game to get to grips with,in a good way,& its very user **** radar display is(unlike most flight combat games)very easy to read & use to see whats going on around **** suprising what a difference that makes, hence why i'm mentioning **** music is atmospheric too, being remeniscent of Half Life of all things. This game is a joy to play,& i cant wait to play through it again in Co-Op when some mates get it.There are a few 'minor' issues with the **** the manual,it says you can press the left thumstick button to change views, yet nothing happens when you press it.I'm assuming(optimistically)that they'll fix it in a patch. Also, theres no **** view, only 3rd person or 1st person HUD view, though its plays well in both,so i can live with that. Also, incoroporating landings would've been nice, but again it doesnt detract from whats there,& in a hopeful sequel,it'll be considered. like i say, these are minor points, barely worth mentioning,& if you like Hawx,Ace Combat or any similar flight combat games, then, like me you'd probably like this.Alot. & I'd definately recommend this without hesitation. I was going to give this an 8,but because its the best modern Jet Combat game on console(Birds of Steel being the best WW2 flight game),complete with up to 4-player Campaign Co-Op,i feel compelled to give this a 9. Very nearly my perfect action Jet Combat game.

Despite the fact that The Run is by the same makers of the abysimal Need for Speed-Undercover,I was looking forward to this game before **** suprised me however by being one of my favourate games of the year, which is saying alot considering how good this year has been for games. This is basically the game i was hoping the disappointing Need for Speed-Most Wanted would be,but **** fact its the closest game to coming back to the roots of the early great NFS games, such as The very first on the NFS on the 3DO,Saturn & PS1,Road Challenge & Most Wanted **** very over arcadey handling & pace of Most Wanted didnt sit well with me,& not very 'Need for Speed' at all in my books,it was more a cross between Burnout & **** i was glad to see the The Run has much more technical handling than Most Wanted.Dont get me wrong, the handlings not up to Forza's handling(mores the pity),but it requires more skill than Most Wanted, requiring a good approach & exit to corners, throttle control & proper braking for **** may be more technical & realistic than Most Wanted, but that doesnt mean the game isnt as exciting,in fact it blows away not just Most Wanted, but any game this gen for **** genuinely the most exciting racing experience i've had for years!.. The reported 2 hour campaign is not entirely accurate either.I can understand why people may say that,as the in-game timer says it a bit over 2 hours, but in actuallality i timed the story literally by stopwatch, which revealed that the ingame timer doesnt take many things into **** much so,that my recorded time(credits not included)lasted 6 hours & 17 minutes! So dont worry about story length,& that doesnt even take into account re-plays to improve your times against your friends on Autolog & just for the fun of it(& this game is a hell of alot of fun),The challenge modes,& multiplayer,So theres definately ALOT of entertainments to be had with this game. Some people have criticised the use of QTE events in the story.I have no problem with it at all,& is all part of the story.Besides would you rather just watch a cutscene,or take part in it? i know which i'd rather **** anything,i'd have liked more of them.. Now to the **** split screen play is unforgivable in a racing game,Tut Tut black Box! Also the multiplayer, while fun with having traffic to negotiate with items also to unlock,is very limited however,in that all you can really do is multiplayer matchmaking,be it with friends in your group or **** would've been nice to be able to do a private race with friends,& one on one races would've been exciting. All in all,i like what Black Box have done in this game.Great, exciting open-road racing against other racers & traffic on long & varied public roads, with decent semi-realistic handling & highly exciting **** EA/Black Box,if you do a sequel(& i hope you do)please put in Split Screen,The Ability to do private races,& how about this? The option to do the story with friend, both of you trying to win The Run against the other racers,& each **** OR **** imagine **** this game had those things,it would have been a 9.5 or 10 for sure.

If you liked No 2,your sure to love this game also.Theres alot of very cool moments in the game.Great to see it still has Co-Op.That really sets this game apart from other sanddbox games, with maybe the exception of Crackdown & makes it a whole lotta more **** graphics, car handling & engine sounds have been improved, which is good, because thats where the game needed work.Dont get me wrong though, the car handling still needs more work, with attention needed specifically to throttle control, because, well, you dont have much control over **** seem to be either accelerating or **** difficult to maintain the speed you want, but i dont want to use cruise control,as theres too much traffic & stopping & starting for that. Also, while the engine sound is improved, its continually going up a gear through seemingly endless gears while you have the accelerator **** if they could make the handling like GTA 4,that would be perfect! Another criticism,is that they've gone way too over the top with the 'Zany'ness.Maybe they've done it as a knee-jerk reaction to the criticism that GTAIV was TOO serious(something that i didn't mind btw),but they've gone too much the other way in this **** out of place in a GTA style game thats about gang Warfare,so would like to see a more serious tone in the next game please.I mean Hoverbikes,& Big gloves that allow you to puch cars into the air & the Hyper reality show? C'mon on! TOO much... There doesnt seem to be as much of a choice with clothing as the last game either. Although the multiplayer still doesnt interest me,i was again very pleasantly suprised by the new survival mode, which is much better than i thought it would be.Spec Ops is ok from what i've seen so far,but its about time we ditched these half -baked Co-Op 'Side' modes & gave us full Campaign **** are in a squad,or not alone, after all.World at War managed to to it,so theres NO excuse!(I'm looking at you too Battlefield!) Hell if this game DID have Campaign Co-Op,i think it easily would've been one of my favourate games of all **** it hasnt,so i wont go there.I still dont know why Activision thinks this game is worth more than all other games,price-wise,but this is a much better game than i was expecting it to be,evolution or not.I still prefer Battlefield 3 that little bit more, due to the fact that i find both its Campaign & Multiplayer good fun(That game needs Campaign Co-Op too, hence the scores not 10 for that either),but technically i still give both games a solid **** once the hype is warranted with this game,& i never thought i'd be saying that about a Call of Duty game for a while..

I loved Forza 1&2,No 3 wasnt the'definative racing game'that was promised.I felt there was something amiss with **** felt sterile & lacked excitment & Custom multiplayer lobbies.Forza 4 however corrects all that,& is easily the best in the series(& game of this type in general)so far! The racing feels genuinely exciting, with unpredictible AI(in a good way)that feel human to race against. They react to what your doing,& even regularly make mistakes, taking a corner too fast at times, just like we **** physics & difficulty levels are spot on this **** handling feels absolutely sublime & is the game is an absolute joy to play.Theres so many good things about this game, the music, the improved graphics&effects, the engine sounds are awesome,The best(& superb)career mode in any Forza to date, car performance & body paintwork customisation,Split screen, great online multiplayer(the custom lobbies are back thank goodness, thanks for listening Turn 10),a whole host of other multiplayer modes, the new Rivals mode,Car auctions, community content & events,Autovista..Theres so much to this game, its quite frankly ludicrus, but obviously great.I even appreciate the small changes, such as the once dull one on one races are now massively improved by the addition of traffic.Makes it so much more interesting & entertaining,& the fact you can pick from a choice of reward cars when you level up. Although this is a near-perfect racing game(I even have no doubt in my mind, that its easily the best racing game of this type to date)i am giving it 9 for the following reasons. 1.Theres still no variable weather, **** silly Top Gear challenges are a little intrusive & should be an option not mandatory, 3.Split screen racing only has a maximum of 4 cars now(2 players & 2 CPU), **** re-wind feature,if you use it,it puts you below anyones time on the leaderboard that didnt use rewind, which i'm fine with,& think its a good idea, but i think its way too harsh to classify your fastest lap in the same time band on the leaderboard as the ones that used rewind just because you made contact with another car(something which is almost impossible to avoid & is part of racing surely(& often they hit you),along with going slightly off the road. This should really be ammended by Turn10,as its not fair,& lastly 5.Theres no night races. To have someone be able to sit in & go Co-Op with you on your career races would be awesome too.Wouldnt have to be all the time, but something you could do as & **** could be done,by only offering you races for cars you both have,or player 2 be able so share player ones cars, with both players taking any winnings & experience points back to their own **** thats not a gripe at Forza 4,as no racing game has done that yet,but hope it will be one day.Would be Awwwwwwsome No? When Forza has those things,i'll be the first to say its the definative & perfect racing **** until then, its still the best of its type,& a 9.5 from me.Simply an awesome game, that puts GT5 with its dated looking graphics,Dull gameplay, robotic predictable AI,Bad sound effects & lack of a proper performance rating system for the cars for multiplayer matchups to shame(& i say that as someone thats owns a PS3 & bought GT5).

I want to start by saying that this is an easy 8/10 game at least. In my opinion, this is THE most definitive Zombie game ever made,& by far best does the iconic Zombie justice, better than any other game to date, bar none,& does exactly what it says on the **** game does have alot of bugs & glitches at launch though,it has to be said, which is unecceptable.I'm sure they'll be fixed, but thats not the point. Also,to get one more thing out out of the way.Enough of the complaining that the game is not like the 'CGI' trailer!.. Honestly, what game IS like their CGI trailer? But i dont hear complaints about them. I'm not sure what kind of game some where expecting due to this trailer, but as the trailer suggested, this game is about a Zombie outbreak on an Island Resort.Moving on though, the game itself is great fun to **** sure why people have criticised the graphics, they are as good,if not better than just about every other free roaming game out **** frame rate is solid, with no noticable slowdown & sound is great, with those Zombie growls causing tension, especially when they're chasing you. Where this game excels though,& what sets it apart from any other Zombie game,is the combat,& the pace of it.I never really got on with Left4Dead,because the pacing was too fast, meaning there was no tension,& it was all about 'pray N spray' shooting, mowing down Zombies sprinting at you.Thats not a proper Zombie game as far as i'm concerned.I much prefer Dead Rising(Moreso **** was closer to that Zombie game i always wanted, with its slower pace,& 'Proper' slower Zombies, with much more emphisis on melee weapons.Still wasnt my ideal Zombie game though, due to its slightly zaney & cartoony violence,& the humour with things you could wear,& the music. No,Dead Island is the real deal! It is LITERALLY that Zombie game i always **** Zombie,as an enemy,is treated with respect,& is a genuine threat if taken lightly in this **** fact with the excellent combat mechanics in this game, every Zombie is kind of a fight in its own right. When taking on a Zombie, you have to go in,get in a hit or two, then get out before it hits you back,or get it to swing at you first,THEN attack.Theres more to it than that though,as you can target anywhere on the Zombies limbs or body,by having your crosshair on that part when you attack(its easier than it sounds),Which gives you options in every single fight you **** you go for a tricky head blow,to take the enemy out quickly,or try to break or sever(depending on wether your carrying a blunt or edged weapon respectively)an arm to make their attacks less effective,or legs to slow them down? Or risk kicking them to the floor to pound them while they try to get up.Kick them into some water,or off the edge if there is **** choice is yours, depending on your circumstances, like how many enemies you are taking on.Running is also a very real option if things get too hot,or your heath **** if all that sounds very cool, then believe me,it **** Zombies visually show damage where your hitting them too, which is awesome, especially when you've cut a limb off,or you've broken it,& their limb flopping about, rendered impotent.Guns do come into the game later on too,so if you like shooting your Zombies too,you can, though its not the focus of this game. This is a BIIIIG game too, with a big play area,& many main & side quests thrown at you Borderlands style,& i havnt even gone into the leveling up of your character, gaining skills,Finding, trading, repairing, upgrading & constructing weapons.. Being able to trade objects & weapons with the other players,& heal them,& the great 4 player Co-Op in general. So yes, this is by far the best Zombie game to date, but as i said,at time of launch(& writing this)theres bugs to fix, some are worse than others, but once they are fixed, the game will be one of the best experience to be had out there,& so for that reason,it gets a 9 from me.Should've been released without the glaring bugs & glitches though, theres no getting around **** Tut Techland.

What can i say about this game, other than if it wasn't for Battlefield 3 & possibly Batman-Arkham City this year, then it would've been game of the year.Games like this, where this much genuine effort, perfection & a sense of pride(No bugs i can see AT ALL) in their work from the developer comes **** only more games companys had the same level of pride & perfection in their work.. I hope when these offending developers see this game, they feel shame for the state they ship they're products in.Considering its an RPG,the attention to detail & graphics are astounding,& even the gunplay is tight & very **** fact all the elements of this game are fun, however you choose to approach the game,be it All guns blazing, stealth or adaptive by using alot of hacking,The Icarus landing system to drop in,or moving heavy objects to gain access to areas otherwise inaccessible.Whichever method you use, you'll have fun,& the takedown moves are very satisfying,as are all the other moves like the Icarus, that go to a cinematic type view when they're triggered.Theres many other skills that effect the way & things you can do in the game, but i wont go into them. This game makes you feel like a bad-ass,because well, basically you are! I havnt finished the game yet at time of writing,so dont know if you can take your skills with you to subsequent playthroughs, but either way, theres definately potential for multiple playthroughs,as you may want to adopt different tactics, buy different upgrades, take a different avenue in the conversations,or just for the pure fun of it. The music & look of the game are top notch too.I cant stress just how polished & perfect this game **** seems like a pretty big game too, with plenty of Main & sub quests to be getting on with. If i was to describe this game,I'd describe it as a cross between Mass Effect,Splinter Cell & Metal Gear Solid with inspiration from Blade Runner & Robocop, which lets face it,is a good thing on all counts. As i said at the beginning, rarely do you see such a polished,Perfect,& Bug Free game in this day & age(mores the pity),& i for one congratulate & salute Eidos Montreal for making such a masterpiece.. 10/10 from me because this is literally a perfect creation.(I cant believe some people are giving this 7 or under, much less Zero?! Even if its not your kind of thing,I cant fathom what goes through someones mind, that they couldnt see this as an extremely well made, competent & well above average product).& giving it a zero is an absolute insult & shows a lack good balanced judgment.Besides, zero should be saved,& used on those products that truely deserve it,the TRUELY terrible.Zero's are thrown around too freely on here,by far.

Prejudice is a big improvement over the first game, but thats not hard to be honest.Using a newer Unreal Engine model, its looks better,& has a smooth framerate, which is important in a game such as this. Most importantly,to me anyway,is the much improved, longer Campaign mode, with a much better story,& is not just a glorified tutorial, like it was in the first **** Co-Op Swarm mode is a very welcome addition too,& its great that this,& all the multiplayer modes can be played with Bots if you so **** a real shame & wasted opportunity though that theres no Campaign Co-Op.. In the next Section 8(if there is one),i would still like to see a longer campaign, that tells more background on Section 8.After all, they're called Section 8,named after people that would normally be discharged for mental instability.Theres a reason they're called Section 8,& i'd like to get to know the squad better,to find out why, woven into the story.Something that was only brushed on in the teaser for the first game.Campaign Co-Op would be amazing in a game like this too,so could we have that next time please.Great game on the whole though,& outstanding value for the asking price.Would have preferred to have bought it at retail though, even if it meant paying a little more.

I like the way the cut scenes are cut too,in a very cinematic way,& the first person cutscenes are genius.Always glad to see the Halo games have on & offline Campaign Co-Op,and Campaign matchmaking included this time also.Kudos Bungie! Anyone who likes their Greek Mythology(as i do),or games like Jade Empire or even Mass Effect, would probably like this game.Though it isnt generally as good or as polished as those games,it certainly has a similar flavour & feel to it.Like those games,be prepared for ALOT of dialog & conversations with multiple choice replys & outcomes.Like Jade Empire & Mass Effect, this is very much a story driven game,& is therfore **** can still decide what locations you go to first, like the other games.Seeing as those games are extremely good,& being linear is part & parcel of a story driven game,i cant accept 'Its Linear' as a criticism to this game. Many,if not all games are linear to a degree. When you do get into combat(& you will quite alot)thats where the game really shines,as the combat mechanics are very good.Requiring you to block alot, combined with considered tactical **** have different classes of weapon you can swap to at any time, much like Mass Effect. These classes are Sword,Mace & Spear. They all have their own attacks & benefits,as well as having extra non-weapon related skills you can unlock by offering points earned by completing quests,to the various Gods, who can give you different abilities,Some of which are inate & permanently active,Some are activated temporarily in combat as **** combat is solid though,& is always fun, satisfying & actually quite **** team you assemble in the game,is quite an impressive one,& anybody who likes their Greek mythology, will be quite happy with who joins you(No Spoilers)as you go in your **** to sum up,yes, the game maybe could have benefitted from more polish, but its a good game at heart,& a good story driven RPG with good combat.

As far as i'm concerned,This is one of the greatest games ever made! Certainly the best on the N64 IMO.I dont know why everyone goes on about Goldeneye, this game is far superior in every way,& has genuinely groundbreaking ideas, such as a friend being able to play as your enemies in the campaign,& Co-Op for the campaign, which was almost unheard of in those days, especially for an FPS.While Goldeneye, was a pretty generic game, with notthing particually special or outstanding about it,& If released today,Goldeneye would be seen as a weak game i suspect, but after playing the newly polished Perfect Dark, its still got all the magic,& all the features that made it a classic game. From the features already mentioned,to the great weapons with imaginative secondary modes, well thought out missions, with varying objectives depending on the game dificulty, that are untypical in this day & age,the music, everything was good. Most of the weapons in Perfect Dark have become iconic to anyone that has played the game.A great job has been done on the new version of this game, giving it a High Def polish & a super smooth framerate(which was the only thing that let the original down a little). This is as close to a 'Perfect' (Pun Intended) game than your going to get.Wether you had this on the N64 or not,I HIGHLY recommend this game.

I can imagine some people quite hastily dismissing this game too soon, because of the 'not top notch, but still quite good in my opinion' graphics,& gameplay that doesnt have a cover **** those who stick with it,with an open mind ,will find a satisfying game to,with solid,if not fantastic combat. Those who play the game properly,(& by that i mean dont rush in CoD style, but take your time,& pick your shots, use whats around you for cover, use the cruch alot, dont stay out in the open for long,as you would do in a real gunfight, because'like in a real gunfight, you cant take many hits),& you will soon appreciate the intracasies this game has to offer.Although as i said it doesnt have a cover system as such, the game does require you to use the cover around you,& maneuvering behind cover, rushing betwwen covers & ducking accomplishes this quite **** fact,as your not glued to cover, you feel more free in regards to positioning yourself for a good shooting position. This is not a game about optical sights on your weapons,& night vision goggles, flashbangs or **** a rare game, that relies on good old common sense in a gunfight,& firing your weapon from the hip,or down your ironsight(apart from Sniper Rifles). This feels very refreshing in this age of constant games featuring military weapons,It gives it that 'western' feel, but at the same time,a modern **** was all i was hoping for, when i heard that this title in the series was going to be set in the modern day.A modern Western,I love it! The secret objectives you can try to accomplish while your partners arnt looking,is a good idea too, though if theres a sequel(& i hope there is)they should make the locations of those items to collect randomly placed.Hopefully they can fix it in this title with a patch.I love the slow motion door entrys too,& fortunately, they're in it quite **** campaign is pretty long too, with a good story.& its great to FINALLY get Co-Op in a Call of Juarez game(especially after the last one criminally didnt have it,especially with the two main characters)..I also have to say the complaints of too much bad language in The Cartel are over exagerrated, its no-where near as bad as made out(& thats from someone who doesnt **** in with an open mind,& enjoy this western shooter with a modern **** easy 8 for me.

Although i liked Earth Defence Force-2017 alot(a very overlooked game, due to its limited production values),This game is improved in all the areas that you'd want it to **** graphics are better,Character animations alot better,More feeling of story,3 player online Co-Op(still has 2 player split screen, which is great),Much better vehicle handling, coice of 4 upgradable character classes,Better music & Jetpacks! In short,it just plays alot better. There is a 6-player Hoard style survivor mode also, which is a bonus(it can also be played offline),& a campaign option to unlock, which randomised & mixes up the campaign with varying enemies, which is a great idea,& adds replay value once you've completed your first playthrough. There are a couple of minor negatives with the game, which are there is no helicopter, like there was in 2017,& there are only 15 missions as opposed to the 50 in 2017.Though that doesnt sound good, the missions in this game are much longer, which kind of compensates,& the game is a great price, but still, more would've been nice.Hopefully they'll be more missions in the next title,if there is one,but like i said, there is more of a sense of narrative though,so thats good anyway,& regarding the lack of Helicopter, the tighter vehicle controls on the whole, new character classes & pilotable turrets,& Inclusion of Jetpacks do compensate in my **** short, like 2017,this a no messing, massively fun old-school feeling game that sets out & gives you what you want from an EDF game.High **** you like having fun,or EDF 2017 then i highly recommend this game.

After the excellent War for Cybertron(by the same makers of this game),i was looking forward to this **** all i'm hearing is that this game was rushed to co-incide with the movie, has too much wrong with it,& worst of all, they didnt include what was by far,the best feature of WFC,which was the campaign Co-Op!.. This is Unforgivable! Saying the levels are designed for one specific Transformer,is a lame excuse, why? because they made the game that way,& with the game set before the movie, they're not tied to certain scenes. With these movie tie-ins,they REALLY need to get the developer working on the game as soon as the script is finalised on the movie,to give maximum development time(This movie took two years to bring out, planty of time to make a good game),or simply release the game when its ready. These game companys need to give gamers a little more **** dont go out & buy a game, just because the movie happens to be out at the same **** fact,we know that a game that comes out in the same week as the movie, was most likely rushed,& rubbish or sub-standard as a result.(we're smart like that **** we wont buy it(or certainly less of us **** need to have faith in **** will surely wait for a good game,& buy it when 'its ready' & is good as it possibly can be. But as it is,even if it was a better polished game,i wouldnt be buying,or renting this,as they didnt bother,or didnt have time to make this the excellent Co-Op game that War for Cybertron was.Simple as. Whats with the user reviews going up so late with this **** was released months before user reviews went up.. Anyway, this is a good Hardcore Military Squad Game/Sim.Anyone who likes the Co-Op missions in Ghost Recon-Advanced Warfighter 1&2 will love this too.Though Red River may at first seem like a backward step from the last title,Dragon Rising,in fact it isnt, but actually in the end,an improvement.I'll explain. In DR(Dragon Rising),much more area was open to **** whole island basically,so you could say it was free **** the new title,Red River you cant free **** have a set 'Area of operation' for your current mission & **** first that doesnt sound good, but when you think about it,in DR,you rarely,if at all, would wander from your mission objectives & use this capability to free roam, because, well, there was no point to do so.. Besides, the size of Areas for you to operate in,in Red River, are actually quite large,& big enough to still give you the options on how to opproach your waypoints, like your used to in DR.Very rarely will you find yourself leaving the area of operation,& if you are, then your going off track too much anyway.. Moving on,the game has a much better sense of story, with more talk between squad members between & during missions.I find the squad orders interface much quicker & easier to use than in DR,so thats good. With your squad actually doing what you tell them to do,unless you tell them something crazy, like run into an open area under heave fire,or something like **** took DR a long time,& a few patches to finally get that right,so its good to see Red River get it right from the get go.Although shooting isnt quite(& i do mean quite),as realistic as DR,it is still more realistic than any other non Operation Flashpoint title on console,& the aiming feels better & tighter,& is still satisfying when you take down an **** enemy are not so hard to spot now, which is **** graphics are also better,With some beautiful scenery & sun effects, with big open areas to cover & enjoy long & medium range engagements **** great to see the series still have 4-player Campaign Co-Op,& its great having a squad of mixed classes in Co-Op.Being able to heal your squadmates is a welcome addition, for me anyway, not that it makes it easy,as you can still be put down with a single shot,& die if not treated quickly enough.Theres many great moments in this game,& alot of enjoyable firefights, with everyone looking for a good position to shoot from, with good **** ranking up system is a good addition too, having to earn points to get general & class specific **** adds alot to the game,& gives a good reason to keep coming back,& get rewarded for **** only critisism i can say about this title,is that vehicles are under used, but i guess they wanted to keep it primarily a 'Boots on the Ground' squad experience, which i can understand.I highly recommend this,& as i said, anyone who likes the Co-Op missions in GRAW 1&2,would love this too,as it has alot of similarities.

Also the Plane models could've used a bit more work,& better moving parts & identification light(like in AC6,to give the planes more life). Also i dont like the fact that you have to leave to **** view to be able to pull off High G manuevers.I have no interest in using this outside view(which doesnt even look forward when you have no-one **** can use High G manuevers in Ace Combat 6 while in-Cokpit view,so why not here? it doesnt make any sense..& gives people that do,the advantage. Also agree with other comments, that it takes far too long to unlock the alternative weapon packs! But in Dirt 4,i'd like to see Split Screen & online in career mode too(hey, why not?),with players 2(+3,4,5,6,7 etc if online)take any positions, points & any other unlocks they earn, back with them to their **** much as i love this game,i do have a couple of **** is why its not a perfect 10.Theres still not as much emphisis on Point to Point rallying I'd have liked.(Would like to see a full Rally Season included ideally).I'm REALLY not feeling Gymkhana at all..I dont find it any fun,it just seems pointless & out of place,& just gets in the way for me..Would like to see that,& Land Rush, maybe scrapped in the next title,in favour of the wide open Truck/Desert events from Dirt 1 & more Rally Stages. Also,i dont understand the games fascination with Youtube!? I cant/dont have a Youtube account,& even if i could, would rather save my replays in their entireity to the Hard disk,in **** Youtube!? Its also annoying to be constantly told "You should save that 'Awesome' replay to Youtoobe".Especially when i havnt registered a Youtube account with the game.. Another minor point is,It'd be good in Dirt 4(or patched into Dirt 3 too),if you could choose your prefered driver views for each event, from the game **** example, for Rally,Rallycross,Trailblazer,& head to head,i use the in-car **** view,& for Land rush & Gymkhana(if i really have to),i prefer Bonnet cam. Those 2 events i wouldnt miss if they were dropped anyway, but if i have to play them, setting views for each event type would be nice.Other than that though,& despite my gripes,I'm greatly enjoying the game,& the love & passion the developers have for all things rally,is **** those interested, yes you can configure your own controls & yes you can turn off the racing **** fact theres ALOT of options for this **** can play it hardcore,by turning all the aids off & set the AI level,or have them on to the point that even my girlfriend can play the game, with assists with braking & steering! You really can set the game up to how you want to play it **** great thing is,even when playing split-screen,each player can have their own exact control & driving aid setups.Works great! Have to give one last compliment to Rally Mode in **** first i was gutted that it didnt have'Hot Seat',but found that its done even more realistically in Dirt 3,by having the players do staggered starts, just like real rally.this works REALLY well! & would like to see it better applied in future titles by having a full & dedicated Rally season,withSplit-Screen & online multiplayer **** all in all,This is a quality product.

I really like this game! as good as it is though,it is not a Halo or Gears of War beater in my **** comes VERY close, but its lack of online Co-Op lets it down,& will be a big deal to alot of people.. But noneleless i am glad & grateful to see it has split-screen Co-Op,& indeed Co-Op at all,as KZ1&2 should've had it,& really benefited from it.Hopefully Gurilla will finally have the perfect Killzone in the next title,& have Campaign Co-Op'online'too.I dont know why,But PS3 games, particulally the exclusives, such as Resistance 2(& prob 3),Killzone 1&2,Uncharted 1&2 & i'm sure others, lack campaign Co-Op.This trend needs to change,& hopefully KZ3's Co-Op is the start of this **** that aside, the graphics are great & look detailed & suitably gritty,Great gameplay & gunplay,Good cover & aiming system that rivals the best 'Using cover' games out there,& the sounds are extremely good, sounding realistic,& immerse you in your battles, giving you that feel your actually in a **** Story is also very good i thought, although its basically about escaping, its told well,& the music in the game is absolutely superb, its beautiful & haunting,& is really good music in its own **** i said,i dont think it beats Halo & Gears,as for starters they have on & offline Co-Op & better overall **** if it had online Co-Op too,i could not in good concience have given it a lower mark than those games.Highly recommend this title!

First of all,i should say this game obviously didnt have the budget of a Triple A title,& because this game is a little rough around the edges i can imagine that it wont be well recieved by critics,& some gamers will dismiss it before discovering how great this title is.. This game is about 2 Templar Knights(not to be confused with the Historically inaccurate bad-guy templars in Assassins Creed)serach for the Holy Grail.I wont go into why,but one of the characters gets replaced by a different one, during the course of the game. This is a pretty big game though,& has you in many different & varied locations in the world,in your quest, fighting different kinds of foes.I should point out, this is not a free roaming game, like GTA or Assassins Creed.Though the levels are big,& your free to backtrack & go wherever you want within them,& its worth doing so,because there are collectibles to find, like journal entries,Buffs that will iimprove your characters in some way for the rest of the level,or pieces of collectiable weapon & armour sets, that once completed, you can equip.I'll start with the negatives first, then move onto the positives.Theres only 3 negatives i can think of with this game,& they are fairly trivial,& not game breaking.Firstly,as i hinted at earlier, the graphics are not the best you'll ever see, though i cant say they're bad either,& do the job nicely, never going below **** fact,in some locations, they look great, but either way,the detail on the characters clothes & armour is very **** fact i'm quite impressed how historically accurate the armour & weapons look.(I know, because i have a big interest in this period, weapons&armours,& know how they look).Alot of attention also has gone into the historical accuracy with the people & events of the time,& the facts about the Templars themselves, which i wasnt expecting. But people that will accept nothing less than Top notch graphics will probably try for a bit, then dismiss,or ignore completely this game, which is a shame, because it plays great(I'll come to that **** second negative,is turning the camera feels a little stiff,as there isnt a great range of analog movement(you cant move it very slowly,in minute detail),but it doesnt affect gameplay,& perhaps can be sorted in a patch. & the last negative,is that when playing Co-Op(offline at least, havnt played online yet),Only player one will get the achievments,as everything collected etc only applies to that players saved **** if your like me,& dont care about achievments,it wont matter.Besides, its a good excuse to play through again,or play solo,so its not all bad.I'm gonna keep re-playing this anyway, because its fun. Right, the good points.First,it has Co-Op,On & Offline(Splitscreen in Offline,so your not tethered together),& it works very well.I'm impressed how historically accurate this game **** you've looked at screenshots or videos of this game,& thought it has a resembalance to Assassins Creed, you'd be right,At least as the Combat & time period **** combat is this games real calling **** like Creed, its very tactical & very well ****'ll often find yourself surrounded,so have to use your blocking,& time your blocking attacks & counter attacks.Your moves start out fairly basic, but as you fight, you gain experience, which can be used to buy more moves, offensive & defensive, from a pretty big, skill tree. This is where your patience with the game early on becomes rewarded, giving you more health(in the form of backup health bars,Crackdown style),to more Zeals you can store(lets you use heavier moves),to running attacks, better, bigger & more damaging combos,Healing moves, moves that allow you to hold an enemy, while your partner finishes them,& many other moves i cant go into **** combat is very **** even have to block against melee & arrow attcaks, buy blocking in the direction of the attack, which is indicated by a symbol, giving you time to **** works very **** to mention the nice little finishing move **** combat is best described as a cross between Assassins Creed,& Demon Souls,But dont expect fast paced God of War paced combat here(not that i dont like GoW,which i do in a game that suits **** anyone who's interested in the look of this game, the time period,The Crusades,The real Templars,& the subject matter,& enjoy the combat in Assassins Creed/Demon Souls or the movie Kingdom of Heaven, will enjoy whats on offer in this game,I & the Girlfriend do. As i said,Its a little rough around the edges, but theres a REAL gem under there,Try with an open mind,& you will be rewarded..
