Faery: Legends of Avalon8
Feb 23, 2022
What an underrated gem, it is sad to think that based on the 'meta' people will not brave this. It has a unique story, interesting characters and world to explore. It is an RPG, traditional, you have a few different branching choices. Plus you play as the title says a (customizable)faery, the allies you meet are varied and unique. Some quests have different ways of completing them. And there is a sort of system for your character getting along with allies on your journey. Also your customizable faery has unique abilities and unique to your preference. The worlds you explore are vast and filled with unique quests. One of my favorites on the 360, and sad to think despite all the positive remarks towards the artwork, options and ambitions it is rated so low. Don't overlook this!

Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi o Yobu Honoo no Kasukabe Runner!!10

Enjoyed watching the show, and the game was on sale for something like 6.99. Didn't know what to expect so I just went in 'blind'. This is an 'endless' runner. But I like this more than most because of it's series ties. The game has no micro transactions and it doesn't require them, or if it did it is better without them. What you get is something incredibly unique, because it is a basic game. There isn't any incredibly intricate move sets or dynamic set pieces like in a Aerial Knight's Never Yield which is a unique game on it's own. But I found this to be cathartic. However I wish as I traversed this game in the 20-30 hours I spent playing, was more interesting layouts and better 'Adult' skills (you assign three characters to give special boosts). And what I really didn't enjoy was how there was no story, some odd Egwish, and felt very bare bones. But the gameplay is really quite fun. The partner stuff (where you combine two 'helper' characters) is cool. And there is a great pace as leveling up, and watching your ability to get higher score rewards the player. I am a user reviewing this like a 9 or a 10 game. But for what it is it might be a 7 or a 6 game if it had any actual reviews! Which I am not, so,

This game is a masterpiece, it's a surreal treasure! It's short at less than five hours. But there is something truly endearing about the world it creates. It forms something that is more than the sum of its parts.
