This is a good strategy game. The differences between the three factions are interesting and significant enough that you need to adjust your play for each faction but not relearn how to play. The AI is not very intelligent but at least in the campaign you are often out numbered enough to make up for this. The summarise a fun game that is easy to access not mired in complex mechanics.

This game is technically competent but a narrative disaster. It was clear from the first trailer that the game was so impressed with itself for taking the loved character from the first game of Ellie and making her gay. This destroys every character or memory from the first game and should be avoided at all costs.

It was clear to me from the trailer this was going to be bad but despite my misgivings I wanted to give it a go given how much I liked the previous versions. But almost everything about this game spits in the face of previous games. Starting from the character creator that where not only is it there very few options to customise how you want to look but apparently there is no easy way to choose if you are male or female because that obviously offend some blue haired wack job that was never going to play the game anyway. All the characters in this are annoying prats that I wanted to die. There is nothing of the style, glamor or larger then life appeal that the other games in the series had. The men are either total wimps or fat lumps and none of the women are attractive. If you want a fun game stay away from this and go play Saints Row 3.
