First, the online co-op is the biggest selling point of the game and it works. It is super rare these days to find a game trying to pull that off, let alone 4-player local co-op. This game is great for anyone looking to run dungeons, slay monsters and loot, loot, loot. I haven't gotten into the crafting, but I have plenty of materials to make better gear. The key is to look at this game for what it is. It's a $20 co-op multiplayer dungeon runner that doesn't try to be Diablo or World of Warcraft. It takes some of the best elements of classic RPGs and puts them into a tight 4-dungeon adventure with 5 classes and 5 races. The races don't give any bonus, but you can definitely choose a play style with the rogue, champion, ranger, wizard and cleric. The ranger is adept at picking off mobs and pulling agro. Champion tanks, cleric heals, wizard does aoe and direct damage, but the rogue stands out. It's probably the best for soloing and the backstab is fantastic. Is it worth $20 - yes. You won't regret it.

No doubt about it, people either love or hate this game. The PvP is excellent, but the single player game is hard for anyone after Skyrim. If you view the single player game as a framework for grinding materials for the PvP game, it's a lot more fun. I'm not sure the single player part of the game was ever meant to be the hook here, the PvP and Arena game play is much more fun. Play it with that in mind and you'll understand why some people love the game. If you look at it from just a single player RPG perspective, yes, you're going to be disappointed, especially after Skyrim.
