I'm all for great story telling in a game, but this is no game at all. You explore a landscape while being told a story. No puzzles, no combat, no inventory, no jumping. You can't interact with anything. None of the buttons do anything except zoom in (they all zoom in). Occasionally you find a fork in the path you are on and think "Oh man, some semblance of risk/reward" only to find out it's either a dead end or it winds back around to the other path. This is as linear,l and as boring, as a "game" can get. I gave it 1 point for the atmosphere and writing.

Just stellar. If you are a veteran of the Battlefield, do not deprive yourself of the latest installment. As usual, Dice has nailed the intangibles. This just "feels" like war. To quote a friend, "If you want to run around and shoot people play Call of Duty. If you want to be dropped in the middle of a war movie, play Battlefield". BF3 does have it's problems, most of them nothing more than annoyances (For instance, you cannot leave a game between rounds), and we all know EA's track record with updates, but so far they seem dedicated to fixing issues and supporting the game. Just go buy it already.

The exclusion of multiplayer is a travesty. Shame on you Criterion. Shame on you. Overall it is a fun game with adequate replay value courtesy of the star system and EA's Autolog. This is obviously more valuable if you have friends with the game. However, as mentioned above, be sure those friends aren't in the same house with you. If they are, you won't be able to play with them at all (ignoring the odd Kinect-only-local-multiplayer mode). In summary, it's worth buying if you have lots of friends that aren't really that close.
