The best tactical shooter on the market by a mile. Squad stands on the shoulders of the esteemed "Project Reality" BF2 mod. Other games (Hell Let Loose, Operation Harsh Doorstop) have copied parts of the formula, but Squad is the only game to capture the magic from PR.

The premier sim football game even after nearly 20 years. Unlike Madden, where the meta is to run backwards 20 yards and throw it to deep crosser routes, the gameplay and presentation of NFL 2K5 actually resemble football. Modders still regularly update the game with current rosters/uniforms/stadiums/face scans.

Started as a WW2 mod for Squad and eventually became it's own standalone game. Great map design, sound design, and attention to detail. The infantry combat, spawn mechanics, and primary game mode are slightly different than Squad, but it all still works. OWI (the Squad devs) just acquired Post Scriptum literally today - so things are looking brighter than ever with future updates planned.
