It is ending at exactly the appropriate moment, and these last episodes are the finest ode to what’s been a fabulously funny and exquisitely-produced series. That was Mrs Maisel – thank you, and good night.

It’s obvious from the four episodes I’ve watched that Brosnahan is giving a superb performance and that Amy Sherman-Palladino knows exactly where she’s going with the stories she and Dan want to tell. ... Gilmore Girls can wait--wait for Mrs. Maisel to burrow its own distinctive blend of comedy, drama, and romance into your heart and mind.

One of the best series of ever seen. the acting is A+ especially from Alex Borstein, Luke Kirby and Rachel Brosnahan. the art direction is A++. its a series you'll watch repeatedly in the years to come. can't wait for the next series Amy Sherman-Palladino.

A time capsule of comedy, this show started strong and has continued to engage, surprise and delight in every season.

This final series may prove more divisive amongst devotees – the prolepsis, which opens episodes, is not entirely successful – but the accomplishment over these five series still stands.

It shouldn’t work, but it does. Brosnahan, who had a memorable arc as a vulnerable sex worker on House of Cards, is enchanting as Midge. She’s both a naif in a man’s world and consistently underestimated.

Without the strong foundational forces of previous seasons (the divorce, the Catskills, Shy Baldwin), the show’s shallow construction becomes uncomfortably visible. Season 4, so far, is a sandbox of great actors and great hats, but there has to be substance to match the style.

Some might embrace this bold development [flash-forwards]. I’m afraid I was wrenched out of my pleasurable escapist viewing – and not just because the ageing effects are so unnerving.

It gives me no pleasure to share that the show is now fixated on its characters complaining problems of the characters’ own making. In one episode, Midge literally thinks her biggest problem is not getting free milk. Worse, the once guillotine-sharp dialogue that made the Sherman-Palladinos favorites amongst TV snobs has been replaced with nonsensical dialogue that constantly loops back on itself.

Guess what? That's the best tv show of the 2010s. Iconic characters, a lot of quotes, music on point, everything's perfect.

First season was amazing. The second season has WAY WAY WAY too much focus on secondary characters and not enough Mrs. Maisel. I'm forced to skip many scenes. Please go back to concentrating on Mrs. Maisel, I don't care for any of the secondary characters.

Ugh. I'm convinced there's a conspiracy here with regard to this garbage. This show is not funny. This is what people who think women aren't funny are talking about. Why is every joke a dig at the world the way it is? And who would want to listen to that crap and in that era? Ill give it for the costumes and the look of it, but its god awful.
