A truly underrated gem and one of Mel Brook's best movies, funnier than space balls and most of his other movies. The premise is its a parody of the Kevin Costner Robinhood film but as a stand alone comedy it works just as good if not better. The medieval crossover humor works really well and the actors have great chemistry. Disregard the bad reviews this is a classic.
All things considered this is a good movie, the pacing is good, the dialogue is reasonable, the action scenes are not bad. For 2026 I would consider it a decent movie worth your time.
A total waste of an opportunity, the CGI was horrid, the storyline was ridiculous, the acting was sub par, the songs were not good by any means. A bad movie with a colorful coat of paint on top to dissuade people of thinking otherwise.
This is a good movie for 2025 but that is not saying much, the storyline is just okay. The acting is not bad the cinematography is the best part. The action sequences and special effects are fine and the story is decent but a bit cliche. Overall I would say its better than most movies out right not but nothing special by any means.
The acting is good, and the attention to historical details is very good, but the movie as a whole is fairly boring. It doesn't do much to charm you or add much depth to the characters.
Not the greatest movie, it has good production value, and a decent storyline, but mostly forgettable and doesn't provide anything groundbreaking to make it considered anything other than slightly above average.
It's a fairly enjoyable film, the storyline and acting are average, at times it can be a bit ridiculous, but overall it's better than most movies, especially post-2005 movies.
Good for its time and good for an Adam Sandler movie, perhaps his best work. Now that being said, don't expect an Oscar-worthy movie, just a bunch of sophomoric antics and good old-fashioned immaturity.
Stop making these movies please, Jurassic park is as extinct as the dinosaurs, trying to squeeze money out of this franchise is futile and an insult to movie goers.
If you're ready to confront the uncomfortable truth about the world, this documentary is a must-watch. But if you'd rather stay in a cozy bubble, believing everything is fine as long as no one rocks the boat, then skip it. This film exposes one of the most notorious figures in modern history, possibly the greatest villain still shaping our reality today. It's not easy to watch, and that’s exactly the point. There’s a reason major platforms like Netflix and Prime have buried it because it dares to reveal what many powerful interests would rather keep hidden. Watch it only if you’re prepared to see what they don’t want you to know.
The greatest Disney movie ever made, it not only inspired countless animation films to come, but it also perfected what Disney had been attempting to do in prior decades. No other animated movie has ever come close to surpassing it.
A horrible conclusion that not only can't stick the landing, it crashes and burns. I prefer not to even consider this as part of the trilogy but unfortunately, it is.
Perhaps one of the greatest Scifi movies ever created, it takes Plato's allegory of the cave and gives it a modern cinematic flair that makes people question reality in a way that no other movie has been able to do.
This is an amazing film, it tells a story that seems equally ridiculous and plausible simultaneously. The premise is believable enough to feel like something that would actually happen, the scenarios are relatable and hilarious. Looking back at this movie now in 2025 I cant give it anything less than a 10 given that many similar comedies have come out since none of which were able to actually capture the same essence as this one.
I think this movie is overrated. I get that it was highly influential for its time and contributed to the culture of the summer blockbuster, but as a stand-alone movie, it's really not that great. The acting is average, the shark looks corny, the pacing is slow, and the rewatchability is very low. I would give it points for its influence, but would not recommend this as an enjoyable film.
This is an entertaining movie, with mostly shallow tropes like flashy combat, overused CGI, and nonstop sex and violence. It makes history accessible to people of average intellect, but lacks substantial content. Over the years, the CGI hasn't aged well; it feels like watching old video game footage instead of a historical sword-and-sandal epic like Gladiator. Overall, it's worth a watch if you like this kind of thing, but don't expect to be blown away.
This is a movie about racism, class warfare, and American identity in the 21st century. It's very gritty and brutal at times, which is understandable, but it dares to go places that most other shallow films shy away from, making it truly unique and well worth watching.
I walked into this movie with the expectations of a zen monk—totally empty. And yet, somehow, I still left disappointed. Imagine being handed a Rubik’s Cube, only to realize it’s actually a melted crayon sculpture pretending to be profound. That’s this movie in a **** plot—or whatever cosmic spaghetti was flung at the wall and called a plot—veered so hard into pseudointellectual babble, I half expected a TED Talk to break out mid-scene. It felt tailor-made for people who paused Interstellar to Google “what is time?” and then considered themselves philosophers. Existential themes? Check. Depth? Only if you consider a kiddie pool a suitable place to drown in ****, to give credit where it’s due: the lead actress was... fine. Like, grocery-store-sushi fine. She held the chaos together with admirable effort, much like duct tape trying to keep a collapsing IKEA shelf upright. But her performance wasn’t nearly enough to salvage what can only be described as cinematic **** whole thing felt like an AI-generated fever dream. Not even a good AI—more like one that read half a Wikipedia article, binge-watched random sci-fi flicks from the early 2000s, and thought, “I can do this.” The result? Genre roulette with a hint of existential cosplay. I’ve seen TikToks with better narrative **** the kicker? This hot mess of confusion, tone-deaf dialogue, and thematic whiplash is award-winning. As in, critics liked it. As in, the Academy gave it actual trophies. If this is what we now hail as peak cinema, then I’m packing my bags for the world of Idiocracy, because apparently we’re already living in the **** conclusion: If you cherish your brain cells, keep them safe. Skip this pompous genre smoothie. But if you’re a fan of Rick and Morty, love shouting “I’m so random!” at parties, and enjoy feeling smart while watching dumb things, then boy, have I got the film for you.
Hollywood needs to stop reverse engineering their storytelling strategy by picking ips based on popularity and then spawning a trash story to go along with the ip. Its a super flawed way of telling stories and is the reason why Hollywood is on its deathbed.
This was actually a good movie. Don't expect anything groundbreaking, but if you want a solid action flick to watch, this one will get the job done, no pun intended.
For today’s standards, this movie wasn’t bad—especially since movies nowadays tend to push ultra-progressive themes forcefully down your throat. This film thankfully avoids that, though it does lean heavily into negative stereotypes, particularly about Armenians, portraying them as thugs linked to ruthless Russian oligarchs. Given the Armenian Holocaust and current struggles with illegally losing territories to terrorist states with the backing of corrupt western politicians, such portrayals come off as unnecessarily racist and insensitive. The movie is similar to "Uncut Gems" in how it throws viewers into a chaotic loop of tension and unpredictability. It attempts to blend comedy and action, which at least brings some originality, but the execution isn't always convincing. Acting-wise, performances were average and occasionally veered into cartoonish exaggeration. By contemporary standards, it’s a decent watch, but overall, it's not a particularly good movie. If you're seeking a break from overly agenda-driven films, you might find some value here, though it still has notable flaws.
And I thought Toy Story 3 was bad, yikes this movie killed Toy Story and then **** on the corpse. The characters dont feel consistent with who they were in the prior movies. BoPeep is yet another girl boss who acts nothing like her feminine self from the other movies. Disney is clearly trying to brainwash people with the whole Woke ideology and make some cash in the process. The movie did nothing for the overall plot as the characters had already said goodbye in the previous movie and this one was just a dog and pony show with nothing to satisfy.
Didn't care for this one too much, the first two were some of my favorite movies as a kid and I was hoping for a grand finale. This one just seemed like an attempt to win your sympathy without actually doing so. The ending felt forced, the tropes seemed recycled and there was really nothing there to consider it anything other than an average kids movie.
Yet another holocaust movie that undermines other holocausts in world history including the one happening in Gaza as we speak. This narrative is outdated and seeks to gain your sympathy while hoping you turn a blind eye to the suffering of other peoples who have been systematically destroyed or even currently undergoing genocide. If Hollywood wants to gain sympathy from movies like this it needs to either tell other holocaust stories, or just come out right and say they dont care about any other holocaust except this one.
Finally a modern movie that isnt woke, no lgbtq ultra liberal themes just a retelling of an old story with traditional gender roles. Hopefully this type of storytelling comes back as the whole go woke go broke formula is beyond its expiration date.
I went into Gladiator with low expectations as I am a die-hard fan of Roman history and epics and consider the first Gladiator movie to be one of the best of all time. Upon watching it, I immediately saw that the first action sequence lacked the realism and gravitas of the first movie, but to be completely honest, the first third of the movie was not bad. I was almost considering giving it a second watch or recommending it based on pure spectacle until about halfway through. The movie recycles everything the first movie did; the action sequences are exaggerated and heavily squandered by CGI and feel like a cheap imitation. The story barely makes sense and sloppily goes through the motions of trying to make you care about the protagonist. It almost felt like it belonged in the world of Spartacus Blood and Sand on Starz rather than the original Gladiator due to its lower-tier acting and production value. Overall, I would say if you love the first one, give it a try for **** and giggles but don’t expect to be blown away.
