The game is fun, the combat is deep enough for the roster of characters it has and the visuals are really good, CyberConnect2 knows how to do an anime character rendered in 3D look 2D. That being said the game really lacks in world exploration and navigation, it felt like a chore to go around every level and collect every memory fragment, kimetsu points and other events. The roaster of characters is a mixed bag to me: on one hand each character plays very differently from the others, but on the other I feel that it needs to get bigger fast. Maybe a DLC with yet to animate characters from the next arc in the manga (like Muichiro and Mitsuri) could help with this problem. So the quality of the characters move sets are good (better than in Ultimate Ninja Storm 4), but the quantity could be better. Something else this game lacks besides characters is game modes, like a tournament mode or a mode in which one has to manage themselves against multiple demons (or demon slayers) at an arena at the same time, or something akin to bloody palace from Devil May Cry. Something else could´ve been done, but it wasn´t done and that disappoints me. Overall it is a good game, it just lacks content to keep playing it after finishing the story and S ranking it (not that it doesn´t have any, it just lacks more)

I´ve been playing this game for the last 9 years, my online character is 9 years old and I have already bought this game twice. Why oh why should I have to buy a full game for a third time? The same exact game, except now it has a few minor visual tweaks, fake raytracing and "seamless" character swapping? This price tag is an insult to the audience, for old players it should´ve been free (or something minor like 10 bucks). Please fellow gamers I beg you: do not buy this game, it is a scam by a company more than capable of remaking a game on their own, support mods, make new IP´s, renew old IP´s or just come up with new games, but instead they decide to take down mods and sue the modders, they decide to "remaster" game in the worst way possible and they decide to re-release a game that already has backwards compatibility.

Positives: Gameplaywise this game is fantastic, I´ve been playing this game for over 50hs now with most license tests on gold that the driving is really deep. The customization is also great, not only while customizing the performance of the cars but also their looks (as well as the driver´s look). It also looks amazing, Polyphony as usual surprises us with their amazing car models, tracks, weather effects and more! There are only over 400 cars in the game, but with the amount of detail and polish each one has it is acceptable, because the time required to make highly detailed cars in 3D is absurd. Negatives: Unfortunately the AI of this game is not that good, they other cars don´t feel like other players but more like just bots. The story mode is different and it could´ve worked out, but it needs polish (at least for GT8). Ugly negatives: The grind in this game is the worst kind of grind ever, because the rewards the game gives the player are very low compared to how high some of the car prices are. This is emphasized if you want to platinum the game, because to do that you have to spend 25.5M credits on 3 legendary cars that you will probably never use outside of photo mode or to try them out. This also highlights another issue that is that said cars can only be purchased within limited windows of opportunity because of a new system used to purchase cars, which is that the used cars and the legendary cars are only available within a limited amount of time, but they are randomly swapped for other cars and god knows when the previous cars will be in stock again. In previous titles the used cars switched when the player won a race or a championship, so at least the player had some agency in that. This is of course is made so that in desperation of never getting the car you want you purchase overpriced credits with real money in hope of getting more revenue for the game. I also forgot to mention that some standard cars have "car invitations" for you to purchase within a limited window of time, which are not as bad as the used and legendary cars, but still worth mentioning. And the killer design choice of this game is DRM (digital rights management) for a single player game, which is just insane. A player who bought this with their own U$S60 or got it with a gift should be able to play 100% of the single player content with no restrictions, but the DRM makes it so that the player is locked off 95% of it while they don´t have an internet connection. If the game was free or online only this wouldn´t be a problem, but as it is right now it pretty much is. I have had the game not giving me the rewards I deserved for a race or a license test multiple times because my internet connection is bad, and that is not acceptable. If Polyphony were to fix this then the game would still be a grind, but at least you´d be able to play it with just your PS5/PS4, a tv and electricity. Conclusion: This game plays and it looks fantastic, the story could´ve used some work and the used/legendary cars scheme and DRM for single player should be fixed immediately.
