Maybe the greatest RPG that gets overlooked for being "punishing". It often gets compared to Fallout 1 and 2, but it's vision is so unique that I'm hard pressed to find a game comparable at all. We need more games that don't just hold your hand all the way through. This is a game that uses difficulty as immersion, and taps into some of the most rewarding experiences you can have in a game. Highly, highly recommended. Keen for the sequel.

This is an incredibly well made game, but it SORELY lacks the heart of the original. It IS still a good product, but it is not a faithful remake. I feel they played this way too safe, and focused too much on the technical side. The reason why RE4 original has aged so well is because it was innovative and bold In the end, this game lacks any warmth and comes off as a pretty generic 3rd person action game.

This game is very compitent and has amazing visuals, but ultimately feels like most other 3rd person action-story games. Kill enemies, watch cutsene, kill enemies, rinse and repeat. I feel there's so much more to explore witu videogames and yet we're stuck in a cycle of spectatle over originality. I'm finding myself tired of this genre and am wondering what else can be milked from 3rd person action/story games.

Overhyped cat walking simulator wrapped in an authentically pleasing packaging.
I'm stunned at how many drones are worshipping this game.
It's not bad, but it's also not really a game.

While this game is very pretty, there's not a lot of "game" inside.
I finished the game in about 4-5 hours and it was a pleasant but ultimately unchallening and boring My real issue is with the seemingly collective lack of critical thought towards this game. The steam reviews are just cat memes and it's almost impossible to find a review that actually discusses the game mechanics. This game appears to be marred by positive review bombs because haha cat cute. I really hoped this game would have more mechanisms for fun rather than the aesthetically pleasing walking simulator that it is.

I don't understand how they landed on this story design. This is some GoT S8 level nonsense. I get the ideas they had and, while it looks **** story is just not cohesive to TLOU1 world-building. Characters act bizarrely nonsensical, political themes are ham-fisted to you via awkward unnatural dialogue, and the overarching morale is a stupid version of what Spec Ops achieved years ago. I'm all for diversity in video game main characters and the rebuttal of "you just hate X" is undeniably childish. This game aims high but whiffs hard while insecurely acting tough the whole time. Disappointing.
