I gotta stick up for Astro Bears. No, there is no story or single player mode to speak of. But as a fun game to play with the kids it's really not bad. The fact that they "fart" out the clouds, the kids just think that's hysterical.

Looks like no one at Bethesda played No Man's Sky because there are some similar problems here.

This game is really old now. I played it a lot back when it was new, and have come back to it a couple of times since. The thing that stands out is the amount of polish. Everything just works. You want to give a building craft a huge patrol that covers the map to pick up scrap metal, no problem, you want to assign some fighter escorts, do it. The game never gets in the way of itself which makes it really easy to get lost in.

I caught it on sale and I like it. How some of the screens scroll can be frustrating, but the multiplayer is fun. If I paid list for it, I would probably be less forgiving. But for the price of a cup of coffee my boys and I had a great time playing it.
