EA, whenever I buy a new game from you since the Bad Company 2 era, you manage to get me pissed.
I just bought this **** because of the massive discount, tried it this morning in 128 conquest mode, was pretty fun. But now when I at last have serious spare time I notice that mode is simply cancelled ? Morevover, according to your "community calendar" (which community ???) this is until God knows when !
Smart move guys.
I'll certainly buy full priced #*µ^ from you guys, you can count on that, you motherf#(|^@ng c:~&ts.

Crime Boss: Rockay City4
Apr 2, 2023
I heard about this game in December 2022, and since the trailer was so well done, I was eagerly anticipating it with hope and joy... Let me say straight away that my hopes were pretty much dashed in less than 2 hours of gameplay. After completing the tutorial and making progress in the campaign, my verdict on the single-player experience is extremely mixed. It's very reminiscent of Payday 2 (at this point, one could even call it plagiarism) in remastered 2023, which means it's graphically pumped up on steroids and simplified to the extreme in terms of management and gameplay. The campaign feels like a dud, the kind of high-budget Hollywood action movie that's overacted by the actors and in which you participate in a few action scenes that are ultimately pointless. The budget seems to have been absorbed by the cast, which may be the only positive aspect of the game when it's forgotten in 6 months. There's no creativity in the gameplay or the story; it's all very basic. The actors overplay their parts, it's a real flop. However, it could become a cult classic, and at times I wondered if the entire scripted part was meant to be a big joke. What a waste for these good '90s action stars who seem lost in this production. But let's get back to the gameplay. It's not an open world, you can't explore the city, you can only choose missions in a particular location, and it's always the same: infiltration, action, extraction... In Payday 2, during the extraction phase, we sometimes, or even often, had an accident, and we had to transfer the loot from the crashed van to a new vehicle, which added extra tension at the end of the heist. We never knew if we were going to get away "easy" or if we were going to have to face the police again, in the middle of an intersection, next to a park. But there's none of that in Crime Boss. In Rockay City, the cops mind their own business. In short, I'm very disappointed at the moment. As for multiplayer, I get the impression that you can only play with your Epic friends, not with random guys... I still hope that the developers will improve the game in the future or that the rest of the single-player campaign will be better than its beginning. Even though what I've seen is lackluster, the game has considerable potential, and if the developers add the missing features, it could become a reference. In conclusion, here's my advice: if you like Payday 2, stick with it; if you don't like Payday 2, you won't like Crime Boss (it's the same gameplay, with ultra-simplified complexity, wrapped in modern graphics and a poorer story); and if you don't know Payday 2, wait for the third opus, which should come out this year. Today, I give it a 4/10 for the cast, Kim Basinger, the graphics, and the technical execution (I haven't encountered any bugs yet). I'll revise my rating later based on my continued experience with the game.

Pretty nice gameplay but imbalanced difficulty. Some mini-games are extremely simplistic, others make you bang your head against the walls and yet others are dull. Though what seems to be a frustrating bug met here : ****/videos/1225177519?t=02h02m33s I plan to play this again once or twice. I recommend it, but not at full price ;)

Simply amazing cyberpunk RPG game. Astonishing beauty and level of details (just try to play it on a RTX video card). Level design is amazing, you truly feel the verticality. Of course, it is not perfect. There can be bugs : I experienced one when I couldn't go on with my quest because enemies wouldn't pop. Checked online : solution is to restart the game, just perfect to take a little break ! There are indeed few possibilities of character customization and there are some missions you can't do at the beginning although you may have the required level. That's only because you have to advance in the main missions in order to get access to some parts of the map. Sometimes you can even be bored by the quests, partly because you don't have any stuff management : no ammo count, no armor damage to repair; and partly because you, maybe, already met all the existing enemies. But boy, the universe is immersive ! Everything in level design, artistic direction, level of details and, last but far from least, the sound fx and musical direction is delightful. Sometimes I just love to have a walk in those Veles archology streets, on those bridges and those catwalks because it's simply magnificent. To get a picture of the level of detail, just imagine you can switch off/on the news screens or hologram ads in the city ! Combined with what you hear, from sound fx to especially music, the game achieves to project you in a Blade Runner movie. This is largely enough to deserve the best reception from the cyberpunk fans. I hope this will be the case, so the development team will have the possibility to fix the few bugs, maybe add some content, and, why not, think about a sequel. Thank you very much for this fantastic experience, Neon Giant & Curve Digital !

Diabotical7

Very nice arena shooter, fun to play, no farming needed, only skill matters. Technically flawless, I didn't find any glitch or bug yet. Artistic direction is simple, nice and effective. The game seems moderate on system resources, so it must run smooth on any rig. Maps I already tried are alright (there are 30 of them, I obviously didn't play all of them yet). However, but I hope these points will be improved in the future, some features are lacking at this moment. There is no classic Team Death Match mode. The modes you can play in teams are too innovative for my tastes. The one that gets closest to "classic" is "wipeout", but there is no time / score mechanism. In wipeout mode, you have to eliminate all enemy team in order to win. That point alone is imho the major drawback of the game right now. There is no music except when you pick up the quad damage power-up. I'd like something catchy like EDM or old-school metal or hard-rock. Also, the UI is extremely dull now. Some animations and nice sounds would be welcome (for example on the battle pass screen), And finally, playing Diabotical I soooo miss the bloody giblets from old-school AFPSs (QC this is directed at you ;) ), associated with the appropriate sound, of course. At the moment this game only shows an explosion when you frag a guy, as a reward. To sum this up, the good news is Diabotical has the core **** AFPS (though I'm not good enough at it to judge about hit-boxes or weapon balance; these seem good to me). Bad news is, there seems to be a certain amount of work still to be done in order to have a nice and shiny wrapping around that core. However, you got to keep in mind this is totally free to play, no pay-to-win here, no grinding needed to level up crappy weapons whatsoever. So, if you ever were really into AFPS, you definitely have no excuse not to give it a try.
