First, some statistics: I spent 787 hours in the game. Ended over 3500 missions. I’m the Protector of the highest level star system in the original game. Everything that will be written here refers to patch 2.0 “Inquisitor - Martyr” and the add-on “Prophecy”, because “Prophecy” is part of patch 2.0, which is sold as a separate game. I know what I'm talking about. “Inquisitor - Martyr” has never been a particularly popular game. It may be correct to say that this was a game for fans of the Warhammer 40,000 universe who had been waiting for the Inquisition game for many years. The original game contained a large number of conventions and inconsistencies with the lore of the Warhammer 40K universe, but it was still loved by many players. In “Inquisitor - Martyr” there were undeniable advantages: the game looked good; the game had fast and varied gameplay; there were three different character classes in the game that had many different builds. Ultimately, it was a difficult game, fully revealed only in the endgame. Everything has changed with the release of patch 2.0. The game turned out to be completely broken and a lot of players that I know would like to return the money, because what the game now is completely different from what they bought. And this is not a metaphor. 1. Too many bugs. Patch 2.0 turned out to be completely inoperative. Hotfixes were released almost every day for a week, but until the release of “Prophecy” - that is, for 40 days, many errors were not fixed. The original game “Inquisitor - Martyr” contained a huge number of technical problems, especially in the multiplayer. Only some of them were fixed, but instead of them appeared twice as many new ones. The question “what did testers do?” Is the most frequent in the first two weeks after the release of patch 2.0. **** game balance In “Inquisitor - Martyr” was not the best, but still working balance. You could always adjust the difficulty level as you personally need. There was a whole game mode in which you could play, endlessly increasing the level of difficulty and I know people who reached unimaginable heights in this. In fact, the only problem with in “Inquisitor - Martyr’s” endgame-content was monotony. In “Prophecy” everything is bad. There is no game balance. The game is ALWAYS either too difficult or too easy. There is practically no way to adjust the difficulty level correctly. Outside of the main campaign and “investigations,” there is no way to increase or decrease the level of difficulty. We were offered to increase the difficulty with the help of tarot cards. But, first of all, Tarot cards are mutators with random effects. Which, moreover, are not balanced, so a combination of random properties is always possible, which will make the game impassable(like 100% damage resistance for the enemies). And secondly, you will not be able to adjust the difficulty level using Tarot cards: you can set the mission level to 100, but not 110 or 115, which would make sense when you reach current level cap. But the most important thing: after reaching level 100, there is simply nothing to do in the game. Old game modes with endless challenges were removed from the game, and new game modes do not give any challenges. They are too easy. You can create a very strong, almost indestructible character, since patch 2.0 really added a lot of new items and mechanics to the game. But that makes no sense. 3. The game has too many "grinding". There is not only a new things appeared in the game. It has become much more difficult to obtain original items. The probability of high-level items drop was lowered in patch 2.0 and again lowered in “Prophecy”. In addition, there are big problems with acquiring rewards. It doesn’t matter if you complete all the missions of the Crusade, or make a small part of 4-7 missions, the final reward will be the same. This is completely devaluated the Crusade game mode, as it is in current state. 4. Most of game modes are meaningless. Exactly what is written in the title. The new Warzone is too easy for high-level players and contains a limited number of missions. For the most players it’s pointless to go through it even first time, and absolutely unworthy to do it again, because there are a lot of ways to get similar items, but faster and easier. The Crusade mode does not work as the developers intended and used only for “grinding”. It is used to quickly receive rewards with the help of "speedrun walkthrough" of only one branch of missions. "Intelligence" missions are no different from the tasks of the Crusade and are most often used to make money. Normal missions ceased to be interesting after level 70. In fact, after level 70, the game ends. As already mentioned, there is absolutely nothing to do in it. And, of course, the link to the full version was deleted from here. Guys, 5K characters is not enough for a review.
