Poirot

A very uneven season. Seems like they were trying to rush the timeline. Could have spent a season in the 70's would have helped series. Couple of the episodes are pointless and add nothing to the overall arch of the show. Some episodes Coats and Keys are where the show should have gone. The writers have found themselves trying to give everyone a happy ending when you deal with real people that is not always the case and this was supposed to be based on at least semi real events.

The show has run out of steam. There are a couple of funny situations, but Brennan looks pregnant, but this is unexplained. She can barely move let alone run. The writers are breaking out all of the stops. Tragic accident for a major character check., reunite and wedding check. It would have been better if it just ended with no farewell tour. Like Cheers. Just close for the day.

The first season of Haven is a little bumpy. It loosely based and I do mean loosely based on the Stephen King book The Colorado Kid. There are aspects of X Files. If you are looking for a recreation of the book you will be disappointed, however if you are looking for a good syfy show you could do worse. The troubles are different and not X Files. Also, the entire town is in on it. So we can skip the tin foil hat society that dragged the X files down. As the season progresses you get further away from the Stephen King version. That was a starting point to get viewers interested using his name as a hook.

I am late to the party and watched it cleaning out my DVR. I find it very interesting other reviews use tense that shows they did not watch the show and then condemn it. If you want a page by page account of the Bible you will be disappointed. If you are going to get hung up on accents of characters or are the actors as ethnic as they should be you will be disappointed, but overall it is a well done show. The major plot points hold true. I think some people are hypersensitive. When a review says there are too many things wrong to mention you have an ax to grind. Overall it is well done and enjoyable show.

This show is a perfect blend of biting sarcasm and outrageous hilarity. It is easy to poke fun at the Bush family. But to do so with wit and wisdom takes talent. Those that negatively rank this show I wonder if they are part of the TEA Party American hating that goes on today. And if this show was Lil' Obama they would say it is the great show ever. Because Fox News told them so.

This show had a good premise and some of the episodes were entertaining. The show just seemed to drag. I could have been a fairly good show if they cut the episodes to eight. Dragging it out the writers seemed to run out of ideas and just added filler. Not the best show, but far from the worst. Perfect for binge viewing.

This shows lives up to the first two films and is superior to the film of the same name. Mads Mikkelsen plays a very believable Hannibal. The only way you will not like it is if you are so tied to Anthony Hopkins that you can not see past that. Hugh Dancy is good as the police officer drafted by the FBI. The only problem with this shows is the muddled writing. Part of this was because the main FBI officer (Dancy) has mental issues, but it goes beyond that and this needs to be worked on before the second season. I would recommend more crisp writing somewhat like a meal that Hannibal prepares.
