Hi there! I’ve played 90% of Cuisineer, and here is my review! Cuisineer is an adorable chef RPG with charming graphics and cute sound effects that enhance the overall experience. The in-game food art is fantastic. You’ll love it when you see it! The food art alone makes the game worth buying . In the game, you’re a restaurateur, exploring dungeons, gathering ingredients, and cooking up dishes for your restaurant. The main fun comes from unlocking new items in the food menu and dungeons. Mix elements and weapons to discover the best combo that suits your style, whether it's a cooking knife or a throwing plate resembling a pistol. The fighting system is super fun, even for someone not into action games like me. The main focus on restaurants with dungeon and combat as a sub-part is what I love about it! Another interesting aspect is the abundance of subquests in the game, perfect for quest lovers like me! Completing quests unlocks new dishes, and exploring new dungeons reveals exciting ingredients. You can also personalize and decorate your restaurant and even your bedroom! Make the restaurant uniquely yours by finding various kinds of wood from the dungeon and crafting your own furniture! Now the “Pros” and “Cons” of the game! Pros: 1. The game's art is fantastic and the cutest I've ever seen. It brings back childhood memories and is incredibly enjoyable. Heheheh, so fun! 2. The soundtrack and sound effects fit the game perfectly and are adorable! 3. The game's concept is super creative, with fitting and imaginative monster names. Elemental attributes are named after flavors, such as sweet for slowing and spicy for fire! 4. The combat style is fantastic. The most enjoyable aspect is mixing the main weapon, sub-weapon, and armor, all of which can be enhanced for different passive buffs. Diving into dungeons becomes incredibly fun when you acquire skills that suit your style. If someone finds the combat boring, they likely haven't discovered their favorite combo yet! The 'Brewing' adds a core element of fun to the combat system! 5. The restaurant part is incredibly enjoyable. It offers convenient services that automate certain mundane tasks, freeing you from being both the chef and waiter. Customers can pick up their food from the counter themselves, or you can choose to do it personally if you prefer. 6. The game offers useful options like "pause the game when inventory is opened," providing convenience during gameplay. Additionally, you have the flexibility to adjust the difficulty level in combat, allowing you to control the amount of damage received from monsters. Cons: 1. The game primarily focuses on the restaurant, dungeon, and town exploration. It's not an open-world game, limiting your actions to these three areas. Unfortunately, you can't enter NPC houses or observe their daily lives. NPCs may appear in different places each day, but you don't get a deeper look into their routines. While I initially wished for more, what's available is still enjoyable! 2. NPC dialogues are decent, but the disappointment comes when submitting quests. Every NPC expresses gratitude differently, but the outcome is always the same - they reward you with a food recipe. Whether it's a child, soldier, elder, or noble, the predictability makes the game feel a bit too routine. 3. Unused weapons, ingredients, or even cooked food items can't be sold for any profit. Additionally, the lack of an option to craft our storage box leaves us dependent on expanding the restaurant to acquire one. Unfortunately, even with this, the provided storage space is insufficient, compelling me to discard valuable unused items without any chance of making a return. 4. Despite upgrading my bag to the max level, the current limit is insufficient, especially when exploring dungeons. I hope the developer considers extending the bag space in future updates. 5. Some kitchen items, such as the trashcan, counter, and cashier, are immovable, limiting the flexibility of restaurant customization. 6. An inconvenience arises when transferring items to storage or from storage to bag as there's no "move stack" option with a right-click; you have to manually drag each stack. This becomes tedious, especially when dealing with numerous items. Yeah, and that’s pretty much all I could think of. Conclusion Cuisineer isn't a perfect game for me. However, with its cute art, engaging restaurant gameplay, super fun combat, unique equipment customization, and great sound effects, it's a game that's definitely worth playing and investing your time in. It's incredibly relaxing; I mean, very relaxing! I adore the experience of running a restaurant, cooking for customers, collecting money, and customizing the place with various furniture and paintings. It's just so chilled! If you're looking for a casual game that, simply by looking at its cute art, makes you feel relaxed, it's perfect for your free time. Give it a try!
