SWAT 4 was written in 2005 and it is still a better game than this in every way. The biggest issue is that its just not very fun to play. Respect the game looks ok, but If they had money troubles then it should have been spent on the basics and not pissed away on round penetration etc that you will never ever notice. When 'free' games like Warframe are around, I cant think of a bigger waste of **** maybe betting that England win the world cup. Save your cash, your

I grabbed this game in a 80% sale, and so was half expecting the buggy broken PC port that some have spoken about. I didn't play the first game so was going in cold. But to my surprise, I found a game that I enjoyed on almost every level. I really like the back story and theme. Graphic style and quality is great. Characters and voice acting is great. I like the gameplay, but I can see how some people might find it simplistic. Overall a quality game. However, not just quality.....There is quantity as well. With the story going on and on 50hrs I hear is normal. Somebody somewhere compared the atmosphere to WOW. I get that, it feels solid and well designed, but without the 4000 kids telling you you're doing it wrong (Which in fairness I probably was). Another difference to WOW is that you character feels badass, which seems appropriate as you play Death. I will mention the controls as this was for me the only aspect of the game that let it down a bit. Obviously designed for a gamepad, it can be a bit fiddly on the keyboard and mouse. But mainly in the menus really than in game, so not a game breaker at all. The guys that wrote this game should be proud. I will definitely be buying Darksiders 1, and 3 when it comes out!

A basically very simple game. That can rightfully be accused of being rather shallow and repetitious. So why the hell im I still playing it after 50hrs? I think its because: 1) Subject matter is cool My Space ninja is gonna slap ya crappy steampunk back into the 80's! 2) Graphics Very good, and i like the rather bleak and moody feel. 3) Gameplay is smooth and easy, as is the matchmaking. Missions are fast paced, but everyone seems chilled and tolerant of newbie starters. 4) But mainly its because its fun to play. Controls are solid, as is the gunplay. Melee is a bit frantic, but there is nothing wrong with it. 5) Its free (ish). But I don't think they quite understood the idea of MICRO transactions. The store is very expensive which I think will harm the game in the long run. Its probably at least double what most people would expect. Although I would normally buy some initial credits to support the game writer, here its just to expensive to feel comfortable with. Overall, I think this is a great game to grab the odd 30mins on here and there. Play for free, and I cant see how you could be disappointed!

I must say im a little confused. I didn't play the original Bioshock as the subject didn't appeal. However, ive was gifted a copy of this one and was looking forward to it based on his praise. The subsequent guilt caused by what im about to say isn't enough to told my tongue! Why is this game scored so high by so many people? i don't get it. The game is a simple run and gun with ugly graphic, poor animations, and weak linear level design. Horrible style mash-up, poor UI, and clunky controls. Aliens: Colonial Marines got ripped apart last month (By myself included) for being a very average game with a big set of boots to fill. However i wouldnt say this game is technically any better. It feels like a very average last gen game to me. I prefer gameplay to graphics but i found this game lacking in both. I am genuinely confused by the gushing reviews of "perfection" this and "masterpiece" that. It was a constant race toward the reason to switch it off. Between the boredom and the motion sickness caused by the poor mouse sensitivity settings, i got no enjoyment from this title at all. The motion sickness piped it in the end and i gladly quit after only a few hours ....probably forever. For goodness sake play a demo! I guess this game is love it or hate it. P.S. If someone wants to pay me a large amount in used notes, i will say its great aswell!

Everything has already been said, but i wanted to add my vote onto the negative pile. For me the problem here is context. My group of friends buy and play a lot of games online as a way of keeping in touch. We often buy games we think arent 'great' e.g. Payday, i bought 4 passes for £12. We played it for a bit then moved on with the overall feeling "We had got great value for a fairly solid game". But, if you put a game into production for 6 years and leak demo's that are misleading. Then try and sell the half baked outcome for top coin when the game graphics/gameplay/AI and mechanics are no better than budget titles like Payday. It makes me mad. I doubt i will ever pre-order another game again. The only silver lining is that this game fails so greatly that there is still a gap in the market for a proper Aliens game.
