I reviewed this game before and gave it a 4 just because of the music and art style, but I wanted to give it another try. I don't regret that for a second. The music and art carry this game, but just like Journey, the simple yet impactful storyline together with basic but intuitive gameplay, plus the entire aspect of the sea full of wildlife really makes this a wonderful game. Don't sleep on this one, it's an amazing experience

I have around 140 hours on pc. I used to play this back on early access waaay back with my friends. Loved it so much. It's such a pity that they actually tried to monetize a game that's STILL free on steam, with worst optimization in a horrible port and way better controls on pc. This is absolutely the worst attempt at cash grabbing I've seen in a long time. This game was a bit trash back then lol, but the fact that it was free to play while also being really fun was something teen me really appreciated. Worst part? I got to play this for free and it still fills like I want some money back. Don't waste your time

Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning5
Nov 7, 2021
Decent at best, painfully average at worst, it's pretty repetitive and gets old very fast. I got it for free but it still felt like a waste. The combat was kind of fun, but the environments are extremely boring and for an open world rpg, that's a big deal

I played this for the 2020 switch version, and at first glance, it just felt weird because I had played Odyssey beforehand and basically it looked like it was gonna feel “dated”. But it is mesmerising how well it stands after more than 20 years. The music is great and the level design is clever and interesting. Absolute classic

Ape Out10
Oct 19, 2020
If you expect the gameplay to get better, it doesn’t really, the controls are pretty mind numbing, but even with just 2 main moves (push and grab), there’s still a lot of variety within the repetition. Guess what? It’s fun as ****
But the reason I’m giving such a high score isn’t because of the playability. It’s because the art style is beautiful and chaotic, piling up that the concept of dinamic music is not just insane, but it was executed perfectly. A big problem with modern games is that they want the soundtrack to fit in, but it isn’t an easy task. Ape out outdid themselves by making a game that not only was directly related to the player’s play through, but it enhanced the experience going along with an aggressive gameplay and violent yet unique visuals. This game became a big favourite of mine. I mean, merciless killing + great art + jazz, if that’s doesn’t sound **** awesome, we just can’t be friends.

It’s a pretty good short game, the puzzles are great and the melancholic atmosphere really hits. But in my opinion, it’s kinda overrated. Is it a great game? Yes. Is it a masterpiece? ...nah. I would still recommend this game, I hope you can get more of it than I did, but perhaps I was expecting too much, who knows.

I expected the game to be this good just from the gameplay I had watched, but holy **** this game has everything I wanted from samurai inspired theme. The controls are simple yet comfortable, the music and scenery are absolutely stunning and set the mood for the entire game with it’s beautiful colours and landscapes, as well as an atmospheric feeling made by japanese instruments and nature’s sounds. The story wasn’t my main focus at the beginning because I thought it would be somewhat generic “kill the bad guy and save everything, but it completely blew me away how deeply interesting the story was, with smart dialogues and actually meaningful character development. If you are a fan of japanese culture or just mildly interested, this is your way in. If you are doubting on buying this game, just don’t, it’s the best thing to come out this year, and it immediately became a worthwhile experience for me.

I didn’t expect anything from this game honestly. I only knew it was supposed to be fun and that it was decision based. Holy **** this game surpassed my expectations entirely! The gameplay is basically walking and decision making, but just with that it accomplishes a lot. I had a blast playing this game, I recommend trying to find all endings and check if you missed anything. Although, buy it on sale, as it is rather short even if you do all endings (except the 4 hrs **** ending, no way I was gonna try that out)

Surgeon Simulator 20138
May 29, 2020
It’s dumb as **** the controls are extremely clunky and it’s kinda repetitive, but this was what made this game so enjoyable! The gameplay is meant to be funny and stupid, and most of the time, it accomplishes just that. Getting to do things your own way, even if it doesn’t make sense, is hilarious, even better with friends. Highly recommended, but don’t expect a serious game or a narrative experience. It’s a fun cheerful game, worth playing it.

Something for Someone Else8
May 6, 2020
Short and sweet. I was expecting a cringey indie game, and was actually surprised at how, even though simple in concept, it was done with a lot of care and respect. It’s a rather obvious metaphor, but what made me really enjoy this was that the developer really made a game for himself, but gave as a chance to be a part of it. Barely 30 min, but definitely worth it :-)

GRIS10
Apr 29, 2020
Besides a rather simple gameplay and pretty short game time, this is without a doubt the most beautiful game I’ve ever seen. The music, the art style and the aesthetics as a whole, mix in a unique way. Everything works as intended, not much as a “fun game”, but as an incredible and gorgeous experience, telling a story without saying anything, and evoking emotion in a passionately, yet not throwing subtlety and detail away. If you enjoy games as both a way to have fun and as an art, you’re are gonna absolutely love GRIS. Ps: I would recommend buying it on a sale, but only because of the overall playtime.

Everything that made the previous games awesome, the ruthless bloodbath gameplay, music and characters, but now with a sincerely meaningful storyline, character development and better attention to details(like customisation and the variety of combat) makes this the best game of an already household franchise

If you what you want is an amazing story and searching deeper meaning... this is NOT the game for you. If you want awesome fights, great bosses, epic music and overall killer gameplay, now we are talking. The greek mythology does give a platform to build in a solid lore, but it doesn’t go any deeper than that. Its cool and all, but the real fun is in the merciless brutality that makes Kratos a **** badass

Its not a bad game on any terms, but it gets so mindlessly repetitive that I had to stop playing for a while and get back at it weeks later. On its core, its the batman combat style with cool cars, but I feel like the game really doesn’t give you that much to do. Not good, but not bad either, for a movie inspired game, it could have gone waaaay worse

Didn’t expect much from a kind of horror/creepy walking simulator, but HOLY **** this subverted any possible expectation I had for this game. The song (Mars landscape: moon set, btw), is incredible yet simple, as is this game. The best way to enjoy this game is putting your headphones, get a blanket, play with the lights off, and immerse yourself in this unforgettable experience. In its 1,5 hr playtime, it strike me more than some of the big budget long duration beasts of the gaming industry. One of the best indie games I’ve ever played, definitely recommended
