Street Fighter X Tekken7
May 10, 2013
I love most of this game. It has a lot going on for it, and is very ambitious despite the controversy tacked onto this title. I consider myself a fighting game enthusiast, and I know the ins and outs of this game from my prolonged experience with the 360 version. The free DLC is a great bonus reward for buying this game twice and I love that I can play my favorite fighter on the bus. The port is almost picture perfect as far as the moves and specials frame rate goes and the graphics are beautiful and take advantage of the powerhouse that is the ps vita. I would love to give this game a perfect score but I simply cannot do that in good conscience aimply due to the fact that the online lag is simply nauseating. Literally! After 10 endless battles with a friend, we both agreed to call it quits because we both had migrains. It wasn't fun, and at a certain point I just started mashing buttons aimlessly hoping to connect an attack. I was on the verge of smashing my vita against a wall, and that just defeats the purpose of video games, which are supposed to be entertaining and stimulating. Fix that Capcom, and you have yourself a digital masterpiece.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine10
Jun 13, 2012
Ah, that awkward moment when you feel like an utter fool for purposely avoiding a great game. This game is so much fun, and if I wouldn't have found in on PS plus for free, I may have never experienced it! This game is a bit like Gears of War. They took out the cinematics that most high budget action games spew at you, and put you straight into the fight. The game paces itself very well, gives a multitude of OP weaponry to shred your foes to mere gristle with, and has a pretty cool online feature with a level up system to keep the fun going! Highly reccomended, I will force my friends to buy this title.

Mortal Kombat (2011)8
Jun 9, 2012
This is a fantastic game. NRS made great use of all the features of the vita with this port. Or remake, or whatever. The bonus tower missions are fun and clever, the controls are really responsive and it just feels right. If you were a fan of the console version, you'll fit right in. The graphics took a bit of a hit, but not much, and the online is a bit sketchy at times. Otherwise, this is a great game, it's my new favorite vita game for sure.

Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown10
Jun 6, 2012
Sega might as well have called this Virtua Fighter 6. I've been waiting a very long time to play this game, and as a big fan of the series, I am happy that they didn't ruin the game! The graphics look great, the mechanics are solid, and the combos are extremely fluid. I had no problem finding opponents to fight online, and really enjoyed all the playable modes / trials this title has to offer. I'm very pleased, and to sweeten the deal, it was made free to ps+ members, minus the customize feature which will run you 14.99 on the playstation store. A must buy for any 3D fighting fan, it's sure to hold you over until DOA5 and Tekken Tag 2!

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II10
May 28, 2012
Sonic 4 episode 2 is a MAJOR improvement to episode one. My opinion, all these guys scoring low are jumping on the "game informer bashed Sonic, I might as well too!" Hopefully those people fall off a cliff along with the other lemmings that told them to. When I started playing episode 2 today, I got the same "new sonic game jitters" that I used to get as a kid when I opened up my new sega games on christmas morning. The addition of tails and multiplayer support is spot on. The graphic are crisper than ever and the nostalgic soundtrack will stay stuck in your head for days. The throwback half pipe stages are a blast, and I couldn't help smiling when I nabbed my first chaos emerald. I get so upset seeing poor reviews for Sonic games when Nintendo does the same thing for Mario and it receives a standing ovation. I think episode two is an extension of something great...Sonic the Hedgehog! That little blue blur is possibly my oldest pal. I'm not defending this game simply because I love the brand, I give it my approval simply because it's a great title, and IMO Sonic has earned the number 4 next to his name. Don't believe the naysayers who put no thought or inspiration behind their judgements, see for ****'s 1200 MSP, and worth every penny.

Fable Heroes10
May 2, 2012
I thought this was a fun game! I recommend this for anyone looking for a great multi player side scrolling beat em up adventure game! The whole board game feel in between levels reminds me a bit of Mario Party, and the pick up n play action is similar to Castle Crashers. This downloadable title may not be a masterpiece, but a well done, simple game! Worth the ten bucks for sure.

Street Fighter X Tekken5
Apr 28, 2012
I actually enjoy playing this on my own, but the online problems with sound, infinite combos and the clock / horrible lag basically rip a huge chunk of playability out of the game! I got this game expecting some fierce online play, but capcom has done jack to fix it!? I would give this age a 10 if it weren't for that, but as it stands I only feel comfortable putting a 5 down.

Silent Hill: Downpour2
Apr 24, 2012
Personally, I cannot recommend this game. The controls are god awful, the puzzles were neither difficult or clever. In my opinion, the silent hill series is dead, I will not be disappointed by another bad Silent Hill game again. I may pick up the HD collection for nostalgia purposes, but that's where I draw the line! The only good thing about this game was the opening scene, with a cool song by KoRn. Odd considering I don't listen to them!

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings9
Apr 20, 2012
I really like this game! At first I was a bit overwhelmed with the sheer depth, but found myself getting accustomed to it right away. The graphics look great, not quite as good as I had hoped but definitely very good. The soundtrack is amazing (I put it on my iPhone!). The story is huge, and captivates the player right off the bat into getting involved and truly caring about the characters, which for me is mandatory for a true role playing game. My main complaint with the game is that some side quests lack a market on the mini map, making some of the side quests a little too time consuming! This game reminds me of an adult Fable story, with a more believable cast of characters and plot. I will be holding on to this gem for quite a while, and recommend it to anyone who loves RPGs and great sword fighting games!

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 37
Mar 19, 2012
I'm really not a fan of this game altogether. Im a die hard fighting fan, but Capcom has left me something to desire lately. But if your looking for a portable fighter with great graphics, excellent controls and on the go addiction, umvc3 is the way to go. I just wish I knew how to play this game! Fans of MVC3 will love this, otherwise, wait for MK.

ModNation Racers: Road Trip9
Mar 19, 2012
This game is fun, the graphics are there, the soundtrack is fun, and the customizable features are super addictive. I've downloaded perfect mods of sonic, Mario, commander Shepard, and spider man! Now all we need is an online feature. This is my first MNR game, if it had an online feature I would never leave my house.

Touch My Katamari10
Mar 19, 2012
I really think katamari titles are self explanatory. You roll stuff up, inflict terror upon worlds, while single handedly humiliating deities and getting the shaft from your ambiguously homosexual father who just so happens to be the ruler. Of everything. This game adds a few new features, familiar environments, a great soundtrack, and SLIGHTLY updated graphics. A must have for fanboys/girls or someone looking for an addictive pick up n play handheld title. Instant classic :)

Splatterhouse8
Mar 19, 2012
I won't give splatterhouse a bad score, it really wasn't a bad game. Don't expect anything philosophical or a metaphysical experience, but do expect blood soaked action, thrash metal (municipal waste!), and just as much slaughter and brawling as the original. It was alright, and I had fun playing it. 13 bucks used at GameStop, I recommend this to anyone looking for a gory beat em' up!
