As a huge fan of the franchise who rated the previous entries a solid 10/10—especially the second game, which was an absolute masterpiece—this was an enormous disappointment. Driven by my love for the series, I even completed this game on the hardest difficulty (Nightmare mode), but it doesn't come close to its predecessors. ​The narrative is cliché, and the storytelling and dialogue lack any real depth. The enemies feel completely soulless, lacking personality or presence, coming across as mere lifeless mannequins. Being confined to a single island made the world feel narrow and uninspired, completely stripping away the immersion and atmosphere that defined the series. The only redeeming quality is the incredible soundtrack, but brilliant music alone cannot carry such a hollow experience. 🥲
