The game is probably the best in the entire series and packs all successful elements from the previous games. Capcom got the right balance here between the fast paced action and the survival horror.

Really solid game and you should play it of you liked RE7 - it's not as good though. The visuals, sounds, and atmosphere are really well delivered and truly amazing especially in the first half of the game. Towards the end it becomes a flat out action game and more of a FPS but lacks the fast paced controls needed there. This is observed in boss fights that are average at best. Story is mediocre too but overall it's a really good game and any RE fan must play it

Excellent game overall, graphics are one of best I have seen, the level design and detail is astonishing and truly transfers you into a post apocalyptic world. Gameplay and combat system is fun too, although not revolutionary. Story is not bad either and doesn't deserve all the criticism it's getting.
