Really great game. Unique in that its got Fallout type esthetics (to a certain extent) but is set in a different solar system and has very much its own sense of humor (which is actually the best part). Very rare to find a legitimately funny game that can make someone actually laugh out loud, and this game did just that. Alot.. But thats just the bones, there's also a very compelling story and some AMAZING characters (thinkin of you Pavarti<3). The combat is satisfying and has nothing technically wrong with it (IMO) but it is pretty basic and doesnt stand out in any way. Thats one of the only downsides really. Its short and sweet which some might call a negative but I got prolly 30 hours out of my first playthrough without the dlcs prolly 50 to 60 with them (going off of my flawed memory so take that as you will). I think its just the right length though. One little nit pick is the consumables are set up in a pretty confusing, jumbled way where there's so many different kinds of food they just take up so much space in your inventory screen (not in weight but visually speaking). Also they're little increases to different percentages that only last for around 30 seconds so its not really feasible to get any use out of them especiallyin the heat of battle. Besides those small hiccups I think this is a wonderful game that any fans of the genre shouldn't pass up on!

This game will always hold a special place in my heart. It was the first game I'd played from start to finish and I can equate my love for games to this day solely due to its influence. It got me to check out the original mass effect trilogy and then branch out to other types of games. Does that mean I'm biased? I can admit that does play a part, but regardless of the sentimental reasons, the reason I finished it in the first place (then immediately replayed it) was due to having so much fun in the galaxy they created. The sense of adventure, discovery and the unknown are key parts of this games make up and if your into sci fi or space in general, like myself, then thats checking all the boxes. Theres tons of great quests, a compelling, engaging story, and more lore then some entire book series I've read. It also has some great antagonist aliens and creatures and the combat is super fun and well balanced. The power system is opened up compared to the first 3 games in the series, meaning you can choose from all of the powers available without being restricted to specific classes BUT there is a story related reason they give to justify that ability. Speaking of the classes, they change those into profiles that you can switch between that grant you certain bonuses depending on which class it relates to. They upgrade as you gain skills in the different power trees. The MC is very different from Shepard so going in its important to not bring unrealistic expectations that they will be the same because they aren't. Ryder is a very well made character and upholds the same values as Shepard, they just goes about achieving their goals in different ways. I did have the benefit of playing this game long after its launch which I have heard was buggy but as of right now, this game is amazing and I would suggest it to anyone whos on the fence.

Worst game I've ever played, and thats not speaking hyperbolically. I literally have not ever, in my life, played a game this broken, buggy, and disappointing. The movement was stuttering, the stealth was broken, the "lighting system" they claimed was a mechanic (hiding in shadows ect.) didn't exist as far as I could tell. Then the gunplay was beyond amateurish where it didnt feel like you were firing a gun at all in terms of sound, visuals or enemy reaction. Speaking of the enemies, the dinos didnt move their legs. They would float over to you any time you got relatively close even if they were looking the other way, accross the room and you were in shadows not moving. When they did move their legs it wouldn't be synced with their actual movement so they looked like poorly controlled puppets. Lastly, the dev team is so deluded they just posted due to the "Overwhelming support of the game" their making a sequel! Thats why I had to add this review. There's unaware and there's intentionally delusional... This heavily lands in the latter category...
