Blends horror and action very well with a story that fans of the franchise will enjoy. I wish it was a little less action focussed but overall had a heck of a time with multiple playthroughs.
Paying for DLC and then grinding to unlock the thing you paid is a crazy stupid concept. You can either rob me of my time or my money, you can't rob me of both and expect me to support your product.
If you play with another human than the fun factor is very high. However, if you are stuck with an A.I. companion then prepare to suffer. This title is a straight action game and has no real horror elements. Resident Evil seems to have lost their way with this title.
I really don't know why this game is getting so much hate. The enemy/companion A.I. is rough (even on hard difficulty) and the game feels too bloated, but other than that this is a high recommendation.
I got this game for free, so that helps it's overall rating. If you can get past the old school control scheme, then this game is a must play for any survival horror fan. My Game of The Year for 2015.
I did not play this in VR which would probably have raised it's score. The first half of this game is as close to perfect as you can get in my opinion. Then, the 2nd half completely falls off a cliff and you can tell they were rushing to finish this project. Still, the first half of this game is so good that it got my Game of The Year for 2017.
The story and gameplay are a ton of fun. The price is the only thing holding this game back from positive reviews. Once this game drops to $20-$30, then it would get a high recommendation from myself.
The gameplay is solid arcade style baseball. The addition of franchise mode for the franchise adds extra fun for those who want to play manager, but don't care for the complexity of more realistic sports games.
