A change of pace in the cast and main protagonist from the First game, its basically a reboot as it completely ignores the First game in the series due to the ending of the First Game. This time you play as Nepgear a rather blank character that develops her personality more over time but is far from the enjoyment I got out of playing as Neptune. She is a unique character though and does have her qualities but she is just a bit too normal in my opinion. The Game play hasn't changed all that much from the first game you still have the annoying hidden treasure search function that is quite bothersome but then again I started with Re;Birth3 and that game had a very interesting Search Function that reminded me of Mario so it might also be because I didn't start with the first two games and so got a better game as my basis. Pros: - The story is unique and has its moments of laughter - The cast is once again fun and brings a lot of new members into its ranks - The Stella's Dungeon is quite a unique addition to the game Mechanics Cons: - Reuse of Dungeons that are slightly altered. - The Protagonist is someone I immediately swapped out of my battle formation once I got Neptune - The Search function is rather annoying.

The game is an absolute rollercoaster of fun, humor and interesting Story. All though the story is not something you should allways take seriously it is set up in a way that its extremely enjoyable and you will get quite a few laughs from the game if your a fan of the series. It does have some minor issues such as level scaling but its easily overcome when you download the free DLC on Vita that give you all sorts of extra characters and some of which are quite overpowered, the graphics are okay for an Vita game and its New Game Plus is a lot of fun as well. The challenges you can do are a bit **** as you have to jump a total of 10000 times to complete one challenge but they aren't neccessary. Pros: - The cast is hillarious and are far from flat characters - The game play is perfect in my eyes and the combat very enjoyable - The story is thrilling and there are some serious Heartbreaking moments but also very loving moments Cons: - The levelscaling isn't all that perfect - Some Dungeons are re-used from older games but atleast given some makeup to look better or some small changes.

Its my first Atelier game but i'm absolutely loving it, the graphics while not the best in the world are still quite appealing to my eyes and the game play is enjoyable. All though the Combat system is a bit Robust its still very enjoyable to fight monsters and gather the resources for what I feel is the main thing of this game Alchemy. Its very well done and the way you make new items through Alchemy is well worked out and fits with the theme of the game. The time limit is a bit annoying in the beginning as you feel like you have to rush to the end but later on after your first recommendation you get the feeling you can take it a lot slower and in my case I started to enjoy the game a lot more. I haven't completed it yet but I'm about 10-20 hours in and I'm having a lot of fun! Pros: - Alchemy is well worked out - The open World setting is a plus to me - The Characters are quite funny - The story is a change of pace from the 'Oh god the world is going to explode!' kind of theme Cons: - The characters can be quite flat at times - The Time Limit system is a bit of a hassle - It takes a bit to get out of the tutorial area and could have be done quicker in my opinion.
