Bethesda milked the franchise and got lazier with every new release and now they're paying for it. Can't say I'm surprised. This is what happens when you ruin a franchise you bought by retconning anything you didn't develop and alienating its core fanbase. Wake me up when they're working with Obsidian again.

Final Fantasy Explorers4

I really, truly looked forward to this game when it first got announced. It honestly felt like the closest thing we'd be getting to a spiritual successor for Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles for the gamecube. The diverse class system and the revival of Final Fantasy IX's trance system were very much welcome. But sadly, that's all the good I can say about it. All in all, it really felt like Square Enix trying to cash in on Monster Hunter's popularity, except that they had taken the idea **** like Monster Hunter and completely neutered it of all the fun parts, making it a boring grind in the same rather small map. It's doable, but not really fun when you're by yourself. And when you play with friends, the game lags terribly. The character customization is pretty limited, and items have next to no use if you have a friend who can just spam cura. All in all, it's definitely not worth the 40 dollars you have to pay for it and certainly not worth the praise it's been getting.

This game used to be so much fun, what the hell happened? Everything is far too grindy, to the point where it essentially forces you to choose between hours of wasted time or paying real money. Barely anybody plays, and the people who do are stuck up and conceited, the card drop system is complete bull, and the "minigames" are cheap/poorly made and a total waste of time. All the characters are horribly unbalanced to the point where if you dont want to buy the two most expensive characters then you shouldnt even bother, and the only way to even attempt to be as good is to use the alchemy system which, big surprise, involves days of grinding and pointless races for a single item. This game tries to force you to pay so hard it's essentially pay to win due to the pay-or-grind-for-weeks system, which no "free to play" mmo should do. Things used to be so much easier and so much more fun until gpotato dropped tales runner and OGplanet picked it up and enforced all of this ****

A god awful excuse for a game that's basically Dragon's Nest for idiots. -The combat is the most boring kind of buttonmashing -The quest system is a trainwreck -The characters are bland and overly sexualized if they're female -SOUL EGGS? REALLY? You can't think of a simple resurrection item so you rip off Puella Magi Madoka Magica? -It tries way too hard to cater to weeaboos and enforces a bunch of awful stereotypes about Japan -The shop system lets you CHARGE THE CASH CURRENCY FOR ITEMS, so whats the point of charging the ingame currency? This also punishes people looking for a good free-to-play game, which is what YOU'RE KIND OF MARKETING YOUR MMO TO BE -The story is bland and uninteresting -The singular server the game runs on is laggy as hell -It's a worse grindfest than maplestory and believe me that's saying something -The leveling-to-difficulty curve is ridiculous -The "vanity shop" only lets you purchase other outfits you could have picked while creating your character, speaking of which... -Character creation is horribly limited, as well as the class system -All the "unimportant" npcs are just boring recolors of the same three models made in the character simulator -The mana recovery system for magic users is complete **** -The controls are super wonky It's just an overall embarrassment **** that shouldn't have been allowed to see the light of day and doesnt deserve the attention of the lonely, horny weeaboos its trying so hard to cater to.
